As Silent As A Mouse

I am being hunted. Well, not me exactly. Someone wants to get their hands on the genius behind A.M.K Pharmaceuticals. They just don't know it's me. I have discovered a way to negate anyone's scent, shifter or human. You would think it wouldn't be that big of a deal... deodorants promise the same thing, but my product is nothing like that. My product turns its wearers invisible to shifters. No, not like that. But shifters need scent more than almost anything else to identify and find a person. Without scent, they can't track down their prey, or smell an enemy coming up from behind. I had originally created it so my adopted father and I could avoid the shifter community. No one was supposed to know about it. Until a little birdy said something they shouldn't have to the wrong person. Now the humans are after me and the shifters want me dead. But that's fine. That wasn't the only thing I came up with. And if I am as silent as a mouse, no one will see me coming until it is too late. This will be a RH novel, the FMC will not have to choose. Dying Of A Broken Heart

The atmosphere inside of the mansion was sober as Caleb, Lucien, Damien, and Dominik sat around the living room, a drink in their hands but not bothering to take a sip.

The pack doctor, Lily, along with one of her brothers, was in Raphael's room, giving him a checkup while another one of her brothers and a stranger were waiting for them at the entrance of the living room.

"This is getting old," grunted Caleb as he twirled the amber liquid around the glass in his hand.

"Then stop calling her," shrugged the stranger, his massive shoulders lifting up and down. He was the same one who had threatened Caleb in the clearing, and apparently, he still had his back up over that incident.

"Then she's fired," replied Lucien, dispassionately. "We don't need a doctor in the pack who we can't call on."
