When I woke up ,the first thing that met my eyes was the dense roof of leaves supported by thick trees covered in moss and lichen. Through the leaves one could see a dark sky full of clouds barely letting a few rays of sun pierce through. I felt my head against something hard and immediately got up from the ground. I looked back to see near the root which had acted as my makeshift pillow was a small box addressed 'to mr Ruudi '

Upon opening I discovered a familiar mask and a small note.

I quickly crumpled the letter and swallowed erasing any evidence of my reincarnation. I pocketed the bank card and took the mask.

The mask was a recreation of Ken Kaneki's iconic mask barring the eyepatch , an otaku's dream. I quickly put on the mask ,buried the box and scrambled up the nearest tree. Only after searching around and confirming the lack of any beast did I relax enough to observe myself. I was currently clad in a black T-shirt white shorts and thin rubber soled sandals. I noticed I had shoulder length white hair which was let down freely.

I tried to feel my kagune and identified four additional limbs in my back .I felt a greater connection to the kakuhou just below my shoulder blades, than other points, but when I tried to to bring out my koukaku I was completely lost. It was like having an extra muscle I didn't know how to use. I could feel it just fine but forming my kagune felt impossible for the time being.

While I was pondering on how to solve my dilemma, my stomach rumbled making an impressive noise . I was slammed with a wave of hunger of magnitude , never withstood before.

Quickly abandoning my plan to play safe, I jumped from one tree to another looking for any edible substance.I was able to move with relative ease thanks to my newfound strength, speed and agility. My confidence quickly rose up and a hint of arrogance slowly bubbled up in my conscious. 'So what if the animals are a bit stronger than normal ones, I am a ghoul, there shouldn't be anything capable of beating me here.' I kept on thinking.
