I called the guest for the party. "I think this should be all". I assumed. "Sam is the attendance for the party okay?" She nodded in response as she was making sure the interior designer was doing the work well".

3hours had passed.

Sam's pov

I had to make sure that the interior designers did their work well and proper. I went upstairs to get ready cos the party is starting by 4. Mom went for a brunch with her friends. Every crook and corner of the house was decorated to my taste. The guest started arriving by 5. I got my hair done in a bun and wore a blue dinner gown with a silver dangling earrings and silver heels. I didn't find Alex anywhere and I wasn't bothered. People from all over the world came for mom's birthday. I went straight to the entrance of the house to welcome we had invited. One by one they arrived and the ballroom was filled with laughter and convos.

Soon the celebrant arrived in a very cute flowered dress. Mom looks so beautiful. "Mom, happy birthday". I hugged. "Thank you my love. I had no intention in celebrating my birthday but you put all this for me". "No mom I should be the one thanking, you saved me from both my father's debt and him aswell". Soon the cake was brought and everyone wished her as she cut the cake.

I wondered where Alex was since I didn't see him when the party had started. I spotted him at a coner greeting some guest, I didn't bother disturbing him but he sighted me and called. "Sam". I nodded my head in response and went straight to him. "Good evening".I greeted and they responded. "Sam, this is one of investors". "Oh, hello"I greeted once again. "My dear you are very beautiful". "Thank you" they got back to their discussion and I left. *The party was going well, everything went smoothly as I imagined.

Two months passed. Alex and I did our morning routine and went to work. I still remained his personal assistant helping him manage his schedule and all other stuff. "Alex you will need to travel to France, a business meeting has been scheduled over there". I informed him but his face was down. Like he was sad. "What is it"? "I dont want to go without you". I shrugged and went towards him. "You need to go unless you would lose this deal". I assured him.

After a few mins Alex bag was packed and ready to go. He hugged me so tight like he didn't want to let of me but he had to. A part of my hear was down knowing he had to leave me for his business trip. The driver had already taken his bag to the car and we bid farewell. He got into the car and left.

The house felt empty knowing he wasn't around. His sweet smile, his laughter was enchanting. It hasn't even been up to 2 minutes he had left and I'm already missing him.

Hours had passed and he finally called. "Hey babe, how was your flight". "It was good just tired". " Go rest since you are tired, hope the hotel is treating you right and all well". All he did was sigh. "Are you aware I miss you so much"? "No". Rather than sleeping we talked for hours till we slept off.
