Volume 1 Finale - A Teacher's Conclusion

[ ~ Chapter • Start ~ ]

Deep down on the first floor of the True Orcus Great Labyrinth, a flock of stone eagles were gliding down to the ground while a massive beast fell harshly down first with a loud crash.

Leading the eagles was Satoru, who was flying downwards.

Once he saw the certain part of the ground that was perfect for landing, he adjusted his posture to move there and mentally commanded the eagles to follow him.

Once they landed, the stone eagles gently put down the students before moving out to search for monsters that would currently pose a threat to his unconscious students.

When were they unconscious? Obviously because of head trauma that needed to be treated immediately. Using a Ki technique called [Divine Step], he teleported to each of his students and mixed both Mana and Ki to immediately mend and fix all the damages around their bodies while strengthening their bones and muscles and doubling their Level Cap using [Evolution Magic].

They definitely will need that due to the sheer difficulty this part of the dungeon offers to weaklings like them.

"We're all lucky both Kouki and Daisuke were with the knights before the students and I fell down to this abyss. I don't exactly know what chaos a missing Kouki would bring because he was the chosen Hero of.... that shit." Satoru remarked, crossing his arms.

"Ah, and that's right.... this room.... it's the place where I hid the ambrosia."

He tapped his shoe on the ground several times, sending mana signals that search for his desired crystal and the water source that was possibly created through it, named the "Divine Crystal" and the "Ambrosia" respectively.

It made him smile the moment his mana signals found them, because Oscar's hard work really paid off after two thousand years.

Calmly, he remembered where it was, before tending to his unconscious students. He could work with creating several tatami mats and separating them before making a large cavelike room the size of 2 stacks of of classrooms put side-by-side that would fit all of them enough.

He wasn't really done yet, as the ceiling began to shift under his command. Stalactite-like ceiling lamps made out of glowing crystals were created to add light to the cave despite it being dim.

"Phew, and that's around more than half of my mana if I hadn't had my ECGs in me. They're pretty handy if I say so myself! 😉"

After he was done, he proceeded to another step, putting the students to their spots on the tatami mats.

Not much trouble. Some of them just smell like they hadn't taken a bath, like Shimizu.

Once this step was done, he exited the cave and walked to the nearby lake.

Sitting down on it, he called back two stone eagles that were watching the area to his side and began to modify it to be perfect for spying the outside world and watching over Kouki.

After all, it never hurts to be very prepared right?

The stone eagles flew off as they vanished in the line of his sight to carry his orders loyally.

While sitting down to meditate, he noticed several rabbits approaching him. They were Kicking Rabbits, one of the three types of monsters living around this area.

Satoru was ready for battle, but a single thought came up to him. Why don't he take over the mind of every monster in these parts of the labyrinth?

Using certain combinations of Ancient Magic, added with the magical knowledge of the "Astral Magician" and the biological knowledge of the "Scientist", he could take over the minds of the monsters pretty easily.

So.... he popped his neck and added more to his slightly stressful work that became a long exercise that is also an experimental procedure.

His experiments continued all around this area, though he calmly checked his students once in a while to keep them safe and sound.

"Right.... I still know more about this dungeon, and due to that, let's get down to business!"

A smirk came up to his face.

This smirk indicated several plans he wanted to make, and he was in the state of preparing many things for his students to strengthen them in physically, mentally and even emotionally.

So, hours passed.

Satoru was becoming bored. His students now had not given him signs that they would be waking up soon.

And he was getting hungry.

So, he walked to where the Behemoth's corpse was, set up a cooking station for himself, and cooked a few kilos of steak for himself.

"Thanks me for the food, hehe~!"

The only problem was, the moment he took a mouthful of the meat, he felt his body painfully convulse while tearing itself apart.

"Yowch!"

He yelped, before focusing his Ki into stabilizing the pain he was feeling, all while he began to force himself to eat the stew bit by bit.

Satoru's entire body began to hurt, and yes, that part between his legs did, too as embarrassing as it could get, "that" almost happened.

When he was finished devouring the steak he cooked, he meditated to focus on battling the pain using Ki.

His body kept convulsing and tearing itself apart, as if he had been poisoned with flesh devouring neurotoxins that actually rebuild his body down to the base. The Teacher's hair immediately changed to a color of snow with a few Crimson lines, and his body enlarged, even for a bit.

It was over after an entire hour, making him breath out loud in refreshment.

"Phew~~~! Damn, monster meat really is poisonous, huh?" A remark came out of his lips, as he quickly recovered from the pain he experienced.

Satoru definitely noticed the change his body had, and he was sure he was now 190cm tall, and he'd grown up some pounds due to slightly bulky muscles.

Also, he seemed to have grown a little older in appearance, too. All while he has become more handsome than he should have been.

"Nice face, handsome!" He commented to himself, before overlooking something else.

"I cannot let them eat these kinds of meat, but.... new discoveries are always refreshing, isn't that right, Dr. Stole Harden?"

He concluded, thinking about one of his past lives which seemed insignificant now that the foolish scientist had successfully let machines take over his Earth after a harsh betrayal.

A pitying sigh escaped his lips, but right now wasn't really the time to reminisce and idle around, right?
