psst..... we're almost going to the Orcus Great Labyrinth Arc.....
[ ~ Chapter • Start ~ ]
A week and three days have passed.
Eri, Satoru, and Endou had gained titles under the shadows while in the daylight two of them had been going around the poorest district of the Castle City, while gaining fame and infamy in both broad daylight and under the moonlight.
Endou was infamously called the "Abyss Broker" for being capable of locating major criminal activity under the shadows while being unseen to most criminals. Although he was still unseen, reports of a cloaked teenager jumping around the rooftops were made by the knights who walked around to find them.
On broad daylight he was simply an ordinary, average student that is an "Agent in Training". Still has no gadgets tho, but soon enough he will gain them.
Eri, on the other hand, was dubbed the "Forbidden Mage" in the dark for her forbidden ability to resurrect the dead and use them against the living dead's former allies. Despite her seemingly "noble" intentions, the church deemed her a heretic for simply "wielding forbidden magic."
Technically, Eri was using Dark Magic in such a horrible way that it was considered law-breaking. Normally, Necromancy is considered a blessing from clergymen using it for people to be able to talk to their loved ones' spirits after their death.
But, there were also important laws that she had broken.
Typical. But because nobody knows who she was, the church was trying to find out who she truly is behind her mask and robe.
In broad daylight, she was merely a teenage student visited almost frequently by her classmates together with both Endou and Satoru after they were informed where they were.
And for Satoru... under the gleaming moonlight, he was the "Moonlit Gentleman", who was active longer than both.
Under an mask made with Creation Magic, that concealed his identity, it was made much harder to know who he is in day, even with his glaring characteristic of having a high-rise ponytail. His clothing, along with both Eri's and Endou's were made with said magic, the materials were transmuted from mere rocks and common, useless stuff you could find in the poorest district in the Castle City.
At day, the three had done their promise of fighting sorts of crime that weren't that harsh and put many criminals in the jail, or killed them.
At night, they were the leading force between the sharp decrease in criminal activity in Heilig Kingdom's Capital City, hiding and battling in the shadows
On one certain night, criminal activity from under the ground had been made by an infamous gang that was about to rise up. Sadly, they encountered Satoru.
"That's.... him! The Moonlit Gentleguy!" A generic goon spoke, pointing at Satoru, who hopped down to the ground and gently landed on it.
"Tsk, why do you have to appear out of nowhere?! Damn it!" The muscular guy said, stomping the ground in anger. "Unless...! The Shadow Broker gained information about us!"
The several generic thugs began to unsheath or brandish their weapons, as the "Moonlit Gentleman" twirled his cane and pointed its tip at the people.
"Friedhoff, wasn't it? You shouldn't really be here, besides, if I found your main base's location I would immediately move there immediately if I had the time." He spoke, twirling his cane twice, before slamming it's tip on the ground.
"It's a pleasure to meet you, but I suppose ending your lives here would be better pleasure for the people above." He continued, tipping his hat. "Now come out, Forbidden Mage and Shadow Broker, we have things to do."
Suddenly, several gang members were cut by sharp gusts of wind, and several others' necks were cut by a sharp dagger while a few were knocked to the ground unconscious, before the leader of this group took a step back.
"Teacher, were here~!" Eri, as Forbidden Mage, said, stepping out of the shadows. Following her, was a young man with a hairstyle that
"You know, I still feel bad about murdering actual sentient people, teacher." Endou commented, grimacing at the sight of blood on his dagger. He immediately shook the blood off it and sighed.
"Please get used to it. Otherwise you might get deceived by our actual enemies soon enough." Satoru commented, before crouching down and holding his cane.
Feeling something dangerous that will come for him, the supposed leader of this group immediately began to retreat, but suddenly, Satoru was already behind him.
"Both of you, let's leave this place. The knights from above are coming after us again." He said, before vanishing from his vision.
Eri clicked her tongue, and Endou nodded, before the two of them vanished.
The leader, being confused, wanted to leave immediately. The only problem was, he was hit by ten blows from all around his body. It was painful enough to knock him out, too.
When the knights of the kingdom arrived along with Meld, they weren't that surprised that nobody but several dead or unconscious bodies were around.
"This again? Why is the church even trying to find them?" Meld muttered under his mouth, wondering what could be the case.
The three weren't criminals, but they were being targeted, for some reason... why?
One of the people following them was known to the public as Ainz Arsalk, a white haired, blue eyed nun who strangely felt slightly inhuman, was observing the area.
"Has one of the Liberators truly returned?" She asked nobody in particular, thinking of one person that looked very familiar to her.
The nun shook her head afterwards, deciding not to report three specific persons who were diverging from the script set out by Ehit. However, the divergence was minor, so it wouldn't bother her to tell him about this.
But..... she was curious.
"Oscar... Orcus....." She remembered that time where she was defeated by the two of the Liberators, because she wasn't truly a human. She was one of the apostles made by Ehit, in short, she belonged to the strongest race in Tortus, despite being artificial.
So right now, what she must do was meet the one who looked like him. Satoru Mikami, a jewellery maker from the northwest district, and also one of the pawns that were "diverging" from the script.
And so.... Ainz Arsalk, no, Hearst, has begun her move.
The next day in early morning she arrived on the store he was managing and stared at him from behind the entrance.
Before that, she knocked on the door.
"It's open, come in." Satoru said behind the door, focusing on drinking his morning coffee and bread.
Unluckily for him, there was nobody here but both of them. So Ainz immediately approached Satoru after she entered the shop.
Once she was near, Satoru stared up at her until.....
She grabbed his neck and chokeslammed him on the nearby wall, almost making him cough up saliva. He was completely caught off guard by this action of hers.
".... We need to talk, Oscar Orcus."

Extra Note:
I expanded this chapter, sorta.
Group ≠ Gang. Simply put, they're a small group of members from a bigger organization. Maybe it's useless for me to just put this here.
Who's worse? Motoyasu or Kouki?
I mean, one is more redeemable and the other is less.
