Tartarus had two levels to it and the first level didn’t look all that terrifying at first glance. It was run like a small working town but If you paid attention the people walking around all had collars around their neck or wrist. The collars were to keep track of them and if they tried to leave they would be electrocuted until they died and if they were already dead it would destroy their spirit. There have been times that I heard of where someone tried to escape and they were met with the end or they didn’t get far and were put in the lower level.
The top level that we entered on, guided by Death, had people doing different tasks. They had a few rundown inns and diners where the people or spirits could stop by but the food wasn’t that great and neither was the inside of the inns. The air here wasn’t clean and there was a strange smell that seemed to float around. And in the far distance, you could see a big mansion that was surrounded by a fence that belonged to Odysseus.
