Chapter 3: The Awakening: Gabriel Heart Part 2

As the class continued, the teacher's voice echoed through the room, calling out the next student's name.

"Next, Gabriel Heart," Mr. Hanz announced. Gabriel felt a rush of nervous energy as he heard his name.

He quickly gathered his things and made his way to the front of the room, where the podium awaited him.

With a curious expression, Gabriel looked up at his teacher, who met his gaze and nodded, indicating that it was his turn to perform the ritual. Gabriel took a deep breath and stepped up to the podium, placing his hands on the smooth surface of the crystal ball. He could feel its cool energy pulsing beneath his fingertips as he began the incantation, drawing upon his own inner power to complete the ritual.

Gabriel was a young man full of curiosity and excitement. He had heard about the Mana Orb, a crystal ball that could reveal the hidden potential within a person. As he waited nervously in front of the crystal ball, he couldn't help but ponder his future. "What class will I get? And what is my talent?" he asked himself, lost in thought.

Suddenly, his attention was drawn to the crystal ball before him. It was glowing softly, emanating a sense of mystique and wonder. This was the Mana Orb, the legendary artifact that could reveal a person's true potential.

As Gabriel gazed into the crystal ball, he felt a surge of energy coursing through his body. The Mana Orb was scanning him, analyzing his mana capacity and determining his potential. If his mana was sufficient, he would be granted two initial skills and one talent, all tailored to his individual traits.

Gabriel held his breath as the crystal ball shone brightly, illuminating the entire room. He felt a rush of excitement and anticipation, wondering what destiny held in store for him. The Mana Orb had spoken, and Gabriel was ready to embark on a journey of self-discovery and adventure.

As the students conversed below the stage, the topic of discussion centered on Gabriel's future class. Gabriel, known as one of the top students in the classroom, had yet to awaken his class. Although his academic performance was impressive, several factors would determine whether he could be classified among the best.

"I wonder what class Gabriel will get," one student said, a mix of curiosity and envy in his voice. "He's been top of our class every year. Do you think he'll get a powerful combat class?"

"Well, awakening is a random process," another classmate responded. "Remember Tigram? No one thought he'd get a strong class, but look at him now."

"True," another added, "but Gabriel's theoretical knowledge is off the charts. That has to count for something, right?"

"Yes, but theory alone won't guarantee a strong class," a different student chimed in. "What if he gets a Support Class? He'd be at a disadvantage. Support Classes aren't combat-focused. He'd need a team to level up, unlike those with combat classes who can take on low-level monsters by themselves."

"Don't forget," another student pointed out, "the two initial skills you get after awakening are critical. They're tied to your class and talent. Sure, you can learn other skills from books, but those are expensive and hard to find. What you awaken with really sets the course for your life."

As the group speculated about what class Gabriel might awaken, he felt a strange sensation coursing through his body from the Mana Orb. Suddenly, the orb began to glow with a golden light that enveloped him, causing him to feel as though he were floating in the sky, his body brimming with energy. This sensation lasted for several minutes, and as it faded, all eyes were on him.

However, unbeknownst to everyone else, inside the Mana Orb, three different colors of light illuminated—purple, silver, and green. In a flash, the purple light blurred and was replaced by a brilliant blue light. The change happened so quickly that no one noticed it.

Mr. Hanz, the instructor, waved his hand, causing the Mana Orb to float in his grasp. He then turned his attention back to Gabriel and announced to the entire group that Gabriel had successfully awakened.

"Gabriel Heart, Successful Awakening…"

As the teacher prepared to make an important announcement to the class, he paused for a moment and directed his gaze toward Gabriel.

Gabriel acknowledged the teacher's gaze with a nod. Mr. Hanz then made the announcement, but instead of the expected excitement and chatter, the room fell into an eerie silence.

"Support Class, Healer."

The news that Gabriel had awakened to a Support Class, with a specialization in Healing, left the class in shock and disbelief. Gabriel had always been a top-performing student with incredible potential for success. The unexpected revelation of his class left everyone stunned, as they had expected him to awaken to something more combat-oriented, given his outstanding academic performance.
