Chapter 15: Festival

Later that night, the festival was in full swing. The sound of music and laughter filled the air as people danced, ate, and enjoyed various activities.

Charmel had reluctantly agreed to attend the festival, mostly due to Chika's tempting offer to let her copy her assignment.

Chika and Leo walked ahead, chatting excitedly about the various stalls and attractions.

Chika clapped her hands together, her eyes glowing with excitement. "Come on, guys! Let's check out that horror house over there," she said, pointing at a small, dimly lit building at the edge of the festival grounds.

Kai, Leo, and Charmel looked at each other, each with a mix of apprehension and eagerness. Kai's eyes sparkled with anticipation, Leo grinned with a hint of fear, and Charmel glanced at the horror house, her expression is curious

"Alright, let's do this," Kai said, determined.

Chika and leo screaming "ahhhhhhhhh @h&#gl" Kai and Charmel watched in disbelief as Chika and Leo screamed in terror at the corny, low-budget zombie actors.

"Are they serious?" Kai muttered under his breath.

"I can't believe they're scared of these guys. They're just human!" Charmel whispered, trying not to laugh.

"I think they're overreacting a bit," Kai added, suppressing a laugh. "It's just a bunch of guys in cheap costumes."

Kai and Charmel exchanged a glance, their anticipation turning into disappointment. They had expected a thrilling experience, but the low-budget actors were disappointing.

"This is so lame," Charmel muttered under her breath, feeling annoyed.

Kai agreed with her, and they just stared unamusedly as Leo and Chika scrambled away from the ghostly encounter.

As the chainsaw man approached, ready to terrify everyone, Kai and Charmel remained unfazed. They stood their ground, unimpressed by the attempt to scare them.

The chainsaw man came closer, revving up the chainsaw and making loud noises. But Charmel and Kai just looked at him, unfazed they give him a scary face.

"huh? is that all you got" Kai said

The chainsaw man was taken aback, realizing his attempt to elicit a reaction had failed. He stumbled backward and accidentally tripped, dropping his chainsaw start running away.

Kai and Charmel looked at each other, trying to hold back their laughter

Charmel have a evil smirk "hey kai, do you think what I think?"Kai noticed Charmel's evil smirk and knew exactly what she was thinking. He grinned back at her, matching her mischievous expression.

"I know exactly what you're thinking," he said, a twinkle in his eyes. "Let's do it."

Kai and Charmel locked eyes with a mischievous glint. They both knew exactly how to turn the tables and scare the horror house workers back.

"Let's give them a taste of their own medicine," Charmel whispered, her voice filled with glee.

Kai nodded, a devious smile crossing his face. Together, they crept toward the unsuspecting horror house workers, ready to unleash their own brand of terror.

Charmel quickly grabbed a discarded fake chainsaw that had been used in the horror house display. She knew how realistic it could look in the right circumstances.

Kai took a nearby black hoodie that had been discarded by one of the actors. He quickly put it on and pulled the hood over his head, concealing his face.

Charmel raised the chainsaw and started revving it up. Kai stood next to her, his face covered by the hood, and started making a creepy whispering sound.

It only took a mere few seconds before the unsuspecting horror house workers noticed them. Their eyes widened in terror, and their faces pale with fear. Panic set in as they frantically tried to escape.

Charms and Kai exchanged a mischievous glance, knowing they had successfully turned the tables on the horror house workers.

They reveled in the chaos they had caused, their laughter filled the air as they continued to terrorize the workers. It was the perfect revenge for the disappointing experience they had initially endured.

Charmel and Kai exited the horror house, their laughter echoing through the air. The workers inside were thoroughly terrorized, and the once spooky vibe had been ruined.

"Did you see the look on their faces?" Kai asked, chuckling uncontrollably.

Charmel grinned, equally amused by their successful revenge. "That was priceless," she said, wiping away tears from laughing so hard.

They continued to walk, still giddy from the adrenaline rush. Their unexpected retaliation had turned the night from disappointing to unforgettable.

Leo and Chika, completely traumatized by their experience in the horror house, clung to each other, shaking in terror. They had encountered not one, not two, but three terrifying beings within the house – first the low-budget zombies, then the cheesy ghost, and finally, the chilling chainsaw man.

As they stood there, trembling in fear, Chika clung tightly to Leo for support.

"Leo," she whimpered, her voice quivering, "can we never come here again?

Charmel couldn't believe her eyes as she saw how traumatized Chika and Leo had become after their encounter with the low-budget horror house. She and Kai had made the best of a disappointing situation and had some fun at the expense of the workers, while Chika and Leo had been genuinely scared.

Charmel burst into laughter, nearly doubling over from the sheer ridiculousness of it all.

"Oh my god," she managed to say, gasping for breath. "You guys are such scaredy-cats."

As the night continued, the quartet enjoyed the various attractions of the city festival. They went on rides, played carnival games, and indulged in delicious festival food. The earlier scare was forgotten as they reveled in the excitement of the festivities.

Leo laughed as he swung around on a wild carnival ride, forgetting his earlier fears. Chika couldn't resist the charming carnival games, determined to win prizes for everyone. Kai playfully challenged Charmel to a dance battle, their moves and laughter filling the air.

Hours passed as the quartet enjoyed the festival, their spirits lifted by the thrill and fun of it all. They tried their luck at every game, ate enough food to burst, and rode the most exhilarating rides.

As the night grew darker, the vibrant colors of the fairgrounds glimmered against the night sky. The music, laughter, and screams of excitement echoed throughout the festival grounds.

Kai looked at his friends, his face beaming with joy. "This was the best festival ever!" he exclaimed, grinning from ear to ear.
