"The Spirit Removal pill? Will it harm his future potential?"

Shaking her head, Diana relieves Rodrick's concerns, "Since Cedric has yet to start ingesting essence to strengthen his mind and body, the medicine will have no effect on his potential. It is meant to be used on cultivators afflicted with curses or outside interference. The medicine will reset Cedric's body back to the way it was supposed to be born, as the heavens will it."

After taking some time to think, Rodrick sighs in indignation: "Alright. Do what you must. I trust you will do what you think is right. Now, go. Save my boy."

Nodding, Diana is illuminated by a silver shimmer as she disappears from her spot.

Noticing that by the time they were finished talking, the evening has turned into night. As Rodrick raises his head to look at the stars illuminating the night sky, a tinge of anger appears in his otherwise concerned gaze.

"This is all your fucking fault. Castia. I swear that if I don't wring your neck myself, some day, Cedric shall do it in my stead."

Putting his hand over the old battle wound aching on his chest, Rodrick makes a silent vow to avenge his wife and the many tribulations set upon them by her sister.

Somewhere in space, deep within the federation's borders, Diana was gliding like a leaf towards the federation's capital planet.

'This damn pill will cost me all of my saved up contribution points. I'm lucky there's nothing I need hidden in that ridiculously massive vault.'

The federation's vault held many of the federation's secret archives. As-well as a mind boggling collection of weapons, techniques, artifacts and medicine. All of which, could be exchanged for contribution points.

Every soldier in the service of the federation has the privilege of obtaining contribution points as a reward for their service.

Suddenly, as she was gliding on her path to the vault, Diana registers a strange phenomenon happening around her.

'Huh? I stopped moving? Wait.. Someone froze time around me'

Diana lights up like a beacon of silver light as she spreads her aura around her, attempting to cancel out the mysterious force binding the reality around her.

She hears a voice echo around her, "Child. Stillness can not be stopped."

'Fuck!'

Her eyes widen as her mouth opens in wonder. She drops on her knees, kneeling to whichever figure is in her presence

'An Archon!'

"Yes, Child. Raise your head."

Diana slowly looks up as she is assaulted by an unpleasant sensation, a feeling not unlike receiving a thousand cuts all over her body.

Steeling her mind, she fights off the overwhelming aura of the Archon.

The first thing she recognizes was the Archon's hair color, appearing as if a someone took a part of space and put it on their own head in the form of hair with red streaks of light flashing on it's surface.

Then she saw the eyes.

A tier 8 immortal being such as her, known for her ability to squash entire planets into paste. Was sitting frozen on her knees, unable to breathe.

Such was the existence of the Archons.

"I have heard of your plan in passing. And I see you care deeply for the boy."

As the gears in Diana's head started turning, she began trying to comprehend the Archon's meaning.

'Is he talking about Cedric!?'

"Yes. Cedric. You see, I have taken an interest in the child. Better yet, I have glimpsed into his mind. I know what afflicts Cedric's mind and I come to you with an order."

Lightening his grasp on reality around them, Diana gasps as she is finally able to breathe. She lowers her gaze and inquires, "What would you have me do?"

Thisreon takes a moment to observe their surroundings, noticing a murky shade hiding in the distant space 'Seems like we have a spectator.'

He lowers his gaze onto Diana and utters, "You are not to interfere with the child's destiny. Do not give him any medication nor pills. Do that, and you may keep your life."

"U-understood. Sir."

"Good."

Suddenly the oppressive aura disappears as Diana is able to sense her surroundings again.

Feeling the ominous entity now gone from her senses, she exhales a long and painful sigh.

'Damn Roddie. It looks like your boy has been chosen. I could not have been happier, old friend.'

Turning back towards the Star-Shatter's location, Diana zooms into the distance.

As Thisreon reappears not far from where he just met Diana. He is greeted with an unpleasantly familiar visage of one other Archon.

He flares his aura of sharpness as his eyes narrow, giving out a warning to the pesky intruder, "Mischief. You better not touch my chosen. I would hate to see your existence erased."

The Archon of Mischief, clad in his purple suit and a silver mask with a smile drawn upon it, replies to Thisreon: "Archon of the Sword. Tsk. Tsk. Tsk. This is just a simple misunderstanding. You see, I was just passing by to make sure you were making the right choice."

Seeing Thisreon's glare unchanging, Mischief breaks out in a cold sweat as he stammers: "P-Please believe me! I have glimpsed a tad into the future and the child appeared within it! When I sensed the presence of the abyss hiding inside him, I decided that it would be a shame for this mortal to ruin all the fun."

"Is that so?"

"Yes! Yes! I Swear I would have stopped the mortal in your stead!"

Thisreon relaxes his gaze as his domineering aura vanishes. As he turns to leave, he gives Mischief one final glance, "You know of the consequences were you to interfere with the boy's future. Yours will not be the first life that I have reaped. Be it Archon or not."

Thisreon proceeds to swing his hand like a blade at the space in front of him, resulting in the plane of reality being cut open.

As he steps through the passage and disappears, the smile on Mischief's mask turns into a furious glare.

"Some day. Thisreon. I will have your head. This child is mine to toy with. MINE!"

Stay tuned everybody! Two chapters planned for tomorrow!
