Who the hell is this woman?

'It's been 6 years since I've reincarnated, I have constantly been strengthening and forming my mana core but I still did not awaken. Well, it's better not to rush things. I'm able to walk and talk now and I spend most of my time researching magic, both inside the house and outside the house. I have a grasp of how magic works now. Strengthening your mana core early is a way to awaken quickly but most people don't know this.

'However, based on your mana capacity there are limits to what can you accomplish. For example, an ice mage might be able to change the temperature of the water and freeze it but there are a few limitations, while some people can freeze rain and turn it into icicles, others may not be able to do so based on your mana capacity, so it is split into ranks based on your mana supply.

' An archmage can wisely accomplish high deeds such as affecting wide areas like causing rain to fall or summoning storms, probably even cause a tornado with wind magic while others can't. One example is my mother because even though she may be able to do high feats, she still can't do things like making a wind current or anything involving wide areas because of her average mana capacity.

' Magic can't be used legally unless you have a job that includes it or if you're from a magic academy. Most nobles adopt children with the ability to use magic as their tools since they aren't able to perform such great feats as being able to control elemental energy.

' Magic though being unstoppable has its limits on certain sights. Holy knights are a force against illegal magic-users or mana beasts who can manipulate elements, they are incredibly overpowered. Magic is very interesting to research. I also discussed a proper way to boost spells.

'By causing an elemental reaction, I believe that you can boost the spell— a proper way of saying this is by probably releasing a flame spell then applying wind to it you should be able to boost the spell of the flame spell and the impact or doing a strong water spell then applying a high amount of electricity that should be a fast kill or a knockout move.

' Also, I believe that the environment matters much on the element you use, say the environment is heated and I decided to use a flame spell wouldn't that make the temperature on the spell a bit higher which boosts the burning effect on the spell?'

All of Xavier's newfound knowledge of magic proved that within those four years he had not been wasting time as he was desperate to get stronger and find new uses of magic. Xavier was on his study tree; it was a tree where he sat while studying magic and also where he formed his mana core because not only was it windy but also comfortable and quiet just like he liked it.

" Xavier!" It was the voice of Vivian calling out for Xavier.

" Coming, mom!" Xavier got up and scurried to the house.

He had now made it there.

" What is it, mom?" He took off his shoes and closed the door which he had just come from.

" I'm not feeling quite well now so can you go buy some eggs?" One could hear the sickness in Vivian's voice.

" Okay, get better soon!" Xavier then rushes off.

Xavier walked through the town making a trip back since he got the eggs. Suddenly, he bumped into someone, and all the eggs smashed.

" Oh sorry about that." A woman stood in front of Xavier.

She was remarkably tall. She had jet black hair, a perfect nose and lips that didn't need any lipsticks, and a very fair skin tone. She wore interesting all-black clothing, it looked as if she was a traveler, and not to mention she had a sword strapped to her waist.

" I'll buy you back twice the number of eggs you just bought."

" Thanks, I guess?" Xavier was confused,' just who was this woman?' he thought.

" I'm simply repaying you for the eggs you dropped because of me. Thanks are not necessary but anyway your welcome." The woman showed no emotion in what she did or said, she was just like a robot.

" You can pay back the amount I dropped. The eggs are expensive." Xavier thought since the woman was a traveler she probably didn't use the same currency they used in the town.

" Oh, so you're underestimating me. Just to be clear, I have more money than you'll ever have in your entire life."

" Is that so?" Even though he was trying to say polite and smile, one could see the irritation on his face as his smile twitched uncontrollably.

The woman then left.

After waiting a while, Xavier had thought she bailed on him but she came back.

" Here are your eggs. For your mom?"

"Yeah."

" Xavier!" It was Vivian, she had gotten worried since Xavier took forever to get back home.

" Oh, there you— Susan?" Vivian was now shocked.

Xavier turned around, it seemed that his mom was talking to the lady from before.' Eh?'

Vivian rushed and hugged the woman called Susan. It would seem that they both knew each other well.

" What are you doing here?" Vivian asked Susan.

" I got a commission from the guild to investigate an area around here."

' So there is some kind of adventurers guild— so is this woman an adventurer and why does mom know her?' A situation like this was too much for Xavier's puny but intelligent brain to process.

" How about you stay by my home for a while?" Vivian held her hand and asked.

" Sure, I guess? Is this your kid?" Susan then pointed to Xavier.

" Yeah, he's Xavier."

" Isn't that my dead brother's name. I'm guessing it was Feran who named him?" She then did a Pokerface.

"Oh, you know it!" Vivian replied promptly.

Having heard what Susan said, Xavier thought,' So this woman is my auntie?'
