Chapter 13: Facing the black spider queen

"you guys ready?" Leo Asked looking at the back

Everyone has been working extremely hard for 1month which includes Leo who has been trying to understand and increase his proficiency in the existing skills

"Yes!" Everyone said in Unison

"Remember our goal is to destroy that nest entirely before going back to the palace so leave none behind!" Leo roared

"Yes!" Everyone said in unison

The group wasted no time and rushed towards the nest

Near the nest,

Boom! Boom! Boom!

Multiple gun explosions can be heard with gunfires

The ground was full of corpses from dead black spiders and soldiers

Tanks kept firing while missiles were sometimes shot at the entrance

"Roar!" A huge black spider stood tall and roared at the sky

Thousands of black spiders covered the ground like a wave of ants and they were endless in numbers as they kept on coming out from the inside

In a calm not far away from there,

"How is it going?" A bulky man spoke

"Reporting General, The attack is going on in a very bad situation we have already consumed 30% of the total firepower and atleast 100,000 men died at the war but the black spiders are endless in numbers so it's extremely hard for us to attack the queen" The soldier said with respect but a sad face

"Why dont you guys aim the high power ones at the queen?" The general stood up from his seat

"Reporting General, The troops have tried this but so far it has no effect since even though the explosives are working it's doing negative damage since its base defence is powerful " The soldier again said

"This is a problem, if we don't clear this nest then these beasts will cause a beast tide in the nearest city!" The general said with a disdainful look

"Reporting General!" Another man came in

"What is it?" The general asked

"We were able to detect 6 Third order and a fourth order beast rushing at this direction!" The man spoke

The general was stunned

"Are they about to attack is?!" The general roared

"No Sir, according to the reports these spiders seem to be coming from the direction of the Scarlet Spider Mother's territory if anything they should be good spiders" the man reported

Upon hearing this the general sat down

"It should be good since she is an ally of our race" The general said with a smile

In the battlefield,

"When will backup arrive?!" A soldier said

"I don't know!" Another soldier said

"Commander please tell us when the backup is arriving!" A seriously wounded man with one of his arms missing said

" I just got the report that they will be here in a few days" The burly man said

Suddenly,

Boom!

An ice lance was shot at the huge black spider causing it to die on spot

The commander looked back nd saw several huge spiders with Terryfing aura around them heading their way

"Leo there are humans here!" Rose said in a surprised tone

"I can see that but our goal won't change!" Leo roared

"Why are the humans here?!" Ember was shocked

"We have a common enemy, these spiders will attack anyone or anything they see so it's not wonder that humans retaliated" Leo roared again

Everyone nodded after hearing his explanation

Such a vicious group of beasts will be surely be held as a major threat to all intelligent lifeforms whether it is humans or beasts

Boom! Boom!

A barrage of earth spikes came out of the ground and pierced multiple black spiders at once

At the same time series of sharp vines came out of the ground and kept piercing the incoming horde

A huge later of water also rose up blocking the incoming horde

"Bolt stay here with Rick and help them heal while Rick pierce any spiders that get past our attacks" Leo roared

The two nodded and stopped next to the soldiers

Rick used his production ability to boost the production of various plants in the basket causing them to become full fledged trees with fruits and various herbs also scattered around

Seeing this scene the soldiers rushed and picked some of them and ate them

"Who are you?" The Commander asked

"We are from the Eternal Palace" Bolt said

"Why are you helping us?" The commander asked again

"We have the same enemy so why not?" Bolt pointed at the corpse of the black spiders

The commander also agreed to the explanation

The entire field was filled with ice causing a large number of spiders to be frozen

"Roar!" Seeing the incoming group, the spider queen roared

3 huge spiders 100m in length came out of the hole

"You three take them down and I will take care of the queen" Leo said in a serious tone

The three agreed and went to fight the guards

When the queen saw Leo approaching, it roared again and rushed

Boom!

The two spiders released their full auras causing the air around them to distort

Leo lefted his sharp blade like legs and attacked the queen

The queen also used its own to counter Leo

At the same time it shot a sticky web at Leo making his body sticky all over

"Go die!" Leo roared and the purple flame in his body surged up like a volcano erupting causing the nearby rocks to melt into boiling hot lava

Seeing the dangerous flamesz the queen roared again and began to jump over the webs

The two parties clashed causing the surrounding land to become dry and full of craters

Rose used her ice powers and trapped the Huge black spider and then summoned a ice tornado to distract it with blades of ice inside it

Ember used his earth body ability to harden his scales even more and then used his air spikes along with earth lances and earth walls to attack the spider while making huge craters that extended to the groundwater source

Saphy also used the groundwater to cover herself with a water body while using the water to attack the spider from all directions

Leo continued to barrage the huge spider with his blade like legs and sometimes also used his fangs to corrode some of the armour

"Flame Mastery! Poison Flame Dragon!" Leo roared at the sky

The purple flame in his body surged to a great height and split into hundreds of small dragons

Leo then controlled the dragons to attack the queen

Noticing the incoming attack the queen also used its defence ability but it was not good

Each attack caused a minor crack on its defence and corroded some more

The queen looked at the Purple beast and rushed at it

Leo also countered it with his own attacks

Some of his dragons also attacked the guards causing them to be seriously injured

"Metal control! Golden Barrage!" Leo roared again

The metal fragments began to melt due to the heat and become spear shaped

In a moment, thousands of metal spikes condensed in the air and attacked all the guards and surrounding black spiders

Looking at the opportunity the other three also attacked them

Unable to defend, the guards while pierced by the incoming attacks causing them to die

"Leo!" Rose said with a worried face

"Take those guards! I will end this hell's gate at once!" Leo roared

The others agreed and used their website to drag the guards along with some huge spiders to the camp

Leo kept on attacking the queen

The queen was enraged due to the lack of its guards and became even more ruthless

10minutes later,

"Where is Leo?" Ember asked seeing the three coming back

"He ordered us to come back since he wants to end this at once" Ember frowned

In the battlefield,

"This should be enough time for them" Leo smiled

The queen felt a great sense of danger from Leo and began to retreat when suddenly a web caught it's leg

"Not so fast!" Leo laughed

The queen unable to break free jumped at Leo

"Purple poison Flame! Tectonic Explosion!" As the voice fell

A bright purple light covered everything in a 100m radius causing the world to fall silent for a few seconds

Suddenly,

BOOM!

A huge explosion sounded as various parts of ground began to crack and explode

All the spiders were cleared innthe terrifying flames turning into ashes

Thousands of mushroom clouds ranging between 100-150m in height and the largest in the back being 1000m in height rose up

The sudden explosion caused all the personal including the Monsters to look at the direction

Looking at the huge mushroom clouds, everyone was speechless

"Leo..." Rose said in a frightened and worried expression

As the clouds subsided, the beasts began to move

"Can I come with you?" The commander asked Ember

Ember nodded and carried the commander to Leo

On the battlefield,

"Ugh is it finally over?" Leo said and looked around

The place was full of thousands of corpses and a huge corpse was lying all burned up in the middle but it was still moving

"Stab!"

Leo stabbed the abdomen of the queen causing it to stop moving

Leo sat down and began to look around

When suddenly a group of spiders came towards him

Rose and the others looked at the weak Leo and the dead Queen beside him

The flames on his body was no longer there and his cyan body had cracks over it

"Is it dead?" The commander asked from behind Ember in a frightened face

Leo nodded

Still in a daze, the commander reported to the HQ

In the headquarters,

"Reporting General!" A man said with a bright smile

"What happened now" The general said while sitting in his chair with eyes full of fear and worries

"The commander has reported, the beasts have helped kill the queen completely destroying it and it's nest resulting in our victory!" The man said with bright eyes full of joy

"What did you say?!" The general was stunned

"It is our victory!" The man said it again

"Yes!" The general cheered

The battle which had been full of risk has finally ended and the humans are in no danger anymore!

"Can we take back the corpses?" Leo said while pointing at the few large spiders and the queen

"You are our savior so of course!" The commander said with a joy

Leo nodded and took the corpses to the base

The others also followed

The army also retreated back to the headquarters to celebrate their victory
