Summary of Events in Overlord Arc (IV)

I finally declared the start of my empire the Kruzium Empire. Rulers of the other nations that submitted will stay in power as something akin to governors of the territories. Except for Re-Estize the kingdom where I put the princess on the throne.

She was really easy to get on our side.

I got the dwarves to plan the same constructions to all the cities be it water, sewage, electricity(for lights, heaters) using magic stones and lightning. We also started developing some prototypes of long-way communication.

After that, it was time to focus on building ships and getting ready to explore beyond the sea.

First I will send scouts and a few merchants and builders to establish a base/outpost.

Meanwhile, I will focus on Albedo, Shalltear. First I will take Albedo on a few dates I get the feeling that if I didn't she would jump me any second. Then I will focus on Shalltear. Who most likely try to do everything to one-up my dates with Albedo.

(A few months later)

Well first five ships were built they can house 250 crewmates plus passengers. We chose to send three of them in the west direction.

While we wait if they find new land I'll go see the dwarves if they have any new inventions and then focus on managing the empire.

Who would have thought that running an empire with so many ethnicities would be such a hassle?

The elves wanted to have more forests protected against lumberjacks.

The dark elves wanted to have more funds to establishing High Gardens(something akin to botanic gardens medieval style).

Dwarves wanted permission to dig under some of the Cities so they could build their huge furnaces and some communities and small underground cities.

Lizardmen wanted someone to help build more efficient fish farms.

And many more requests from every race be they merchant who wanted more lenient taxes, peasants that wanted more time for their taxes, or nobles who wanted to get permits for new laws/orders on their territories.

Now that I'm talking about nobles I looked into every noble in the empire to see if they were competent or not.

If there was a chance they would try to not pay the correct amount of taxes or forced the citizens more taxes. I would have them killed or imprisoned.

I also made slavery and forced prostitution illegal only those that chose to go into slavery of their own choice may be to pay a debt or if they had a fetish. (same principle as Interspecies Reviewers)

I had started a tradition that Every year or two years if there was a war, famine, or something like that there will be an Empire-wide tournament.

Every city above 3,000 would have a small tournament to have five champions for every category who would travel to governor cities(former capitals).

Then it would be three champions from every governor city who would go to the capital and then from every category there would be one winner.

The rewards would be chosen from the winners themselves either monetary reward or weapons forged from the best materials by the best blacksmiths with or without enchantments or a position in military or government position or they could request to be made nobles.

I also made it so nobles aren't that much above average people. Their benefits were that they would inherit territories. And had a much bigger limit on how much military personnel they could have in their personal armies. But that could be taken away.

The territory could be given to a government official of not noble background who would govern the territory and appoint a successor.

If he didn't choose a successor the people in the territory would vote.

The same could be done about the limit on the military personnel.

Or if the government official or his successor were competent enough and they could request to be given the status of noble which meant that the territory would be inherited by their blood.

For the military position and government position, they could be chosen by someone to be trained under them.

Another few months went by and we finally got a message back from the ships that they discovered a new continent.

They managed to get a crude map of how it most likely looked from explanations of locals.

Now it was time to send more ships with diplomats, merchants, soldiers, and builders to the continent to build a provisional town or something akin to an embassy.

We must also get ready if the locals were warmongers or they wanted to conquer the empire or they were someone that we wouldn't be able to get along with.

Well, we will see how it goes.

The ships arrived on to the continent and build a provisional town plus an embassy.

We established some trade routes with towns in proximity to our town.

It was also learned that nobles of that Empire don't really care about the towns in that particular part of the Empire.

The report also says that somewhere close to where the town was established is some kind of large Demi-human tribe.

It seems it's a tribe of only one species but we don't know which one it is yet.

We also got more information about the Empire. And honestly, I don't like it one bit most nobles are arrogant pricks who don't even really care about their territories.

The Royalty is the same except for the princess but she is more used as a propaganda symbol than anything.

The Emperor is an arrogant old man that doesn't listen to anyone and sees everyone as disposable pawns.

The first prince has the same arrogance as his father and doesn't care enough to even try to gather connections and supporters.

The second prince well that's something else entirely. He is as arrogant as his father and brother but he is also stupid and a little incompetent he also likes to attack everyone around him. His father doesn't even stop him.

He attacked few towns in the empire and killed all the men and then r/ped the woman. He also likes enslaving women and having them serve him.

I sent an envoy to the Demi-human tribe. It turns out it was rabbit demi-humans. They call themselves Warrior Rabbits.

We made a trade agreement and also after few days of negotiating it was agreed that they would send an envoy to our empire so I need to prepare when the ship arrives with the envoy.

The meeting has gone well it was agreed That another meeting shall take this time in their territory.

This time I will be going to meet their Queen.

Now to explain it to Albedo and Shalltear.

Suddenly I have a headache.
