Fat Brain

Wang Kai became to talk of the city once the results came out. He scored the highest score in the last several dacades. Because other people didn't know him, his picture circulated in the internet and many people couldn't believe a fatty like that could be a genius.

Meanwhile the Wang family is recieving hate from the internet for not throwing a banquet to celebrate their adopted family member's achievement. There are several hurtful comments in the internet.

"The Wang family is openly biased, are they not afraid to be scolded by the public?"

"Eh? Show off the fatty's achievements in public? If your son was so disgusting, wouldn't you want to lock him up and throw away the key?"

"Yeah, you're such a genius in school but can you take care of yourself a little bit?"

"You people upstairs are all paid off by the Wang family. That child is only 14 years old and his family doesn't love him. Of course he will turn to an unhealthy lifestyle. The only reason it has got to this point is because no one cared enough to monitor his lifestyle because no one cares for him."

"Having a family like this, wouldn't you die at a young age from negligence? Even being adopted by normal family should be better than dying at the hands of these rich heartless people right?"

"You said it so cleanly but would fatty Kai trade a life of a rich young master for a life of an ordinary office worker who can't afford to eat luxurious junk food?"

"Let me answer for the fatty, no. It is fine to be rich and not be happy than to be poor and have loving parents. Also fatty might be big but he is not ugly at all."

"Eh? Really? I don't believe it!"

"Did everyone also see how lovable that fatty is? He is big and his face is round but he is not ugly at all. Is this how rich people get fat? They get cute and meaty while we get dark and oily skin?"

"So unfair, he is clearly not taking care of himself but he looks like a beautiful round ball."

The comments went up and down in attitude. The boy they are all talking about is leisurely sipping juice while watching an action movie.

He would occasionally imitate the karate moves in the movie but careful not to hurt himself. He still has a would on his neck.

Wang Yan and Wang Chen would occasionally watch the feed of Kai doing silly things like this. A month went by quickly.

Time of graduation is approaching but the boy in the video makes no move to get a graduation gown or RSVP in the up coming ceremony. He didn't even invite his parents to attend.

Wang Yan knew that he can not let this continue like this, Kai has already isolated himself from the people of his age, his family and now he won't even go to the internet. The father and son are certain that Kai knows nothing about the internet gossip.

What youth spends his days making medicine and not interacting with anyone at all except for the home system. They watched him modify the home system and even make several small computers like it is no big deal.

There is a mechanical pet in his villa now that can take instructions even if you only use your voice. It is a smart computer but it was built ground up by Kai on his own. At the moment they are sure he is trying to make high artificial skin and muscle tissue.

How do they know? They compiled the list of materials he bought and went through his browser history to find him researching and reading many theoretical articles on artificial skin and muscle. The Wang father and son are practically on the edge of their seats waiting.

They even chase away their secretaries when they watch the feed because they don't want the news to spread before he even finishes it. They are both sure he can do it because they have seen him do so much these past months.

First he lost weight using normal medicinal herbs from the market. He passed all his exams with a perfect score and refused to go for an IQ testing as if he already knows the answer. He made a monitoring cameras the size of a pin.

Those may exist but their functionality is so poor that no one uses them. But Kai made a high level functioning camera and sold it on the internet. When the father and son saw it is for sale they bought it and their eyes were astonished.

This is very dangerous if it falls in the hands of enemies. They planned to warn Kai but the boy made something else. A battery that can power his home for the next ten years if anything ever happens to the electricity.

The battery needs to be charged using a form of power and for now there is the solar power and the already existing electricity. To save time the boy developed a solar sucking feature into the battery.

It sucks the energy from the sun to the battery at an accelerated pace recharging the battery that has been modified to accept large amount of energy without burning because inside there is an energy compressor which works more effectively the more energy it receives.

The battery can report the amount of energy stored in time. Kai had been hoping that it will not be full no mater how many days he charges it but he was disappointed that it said full capacity in only 18 days. He called it a failure but kept it since it was his first successful attempt.

He modified here and there on the next batteries he made, two exploded and 8 were recharged for 29 to 45 days. The idea of compressed energy was found on a scientific article online. He has developed these theories because he doesn't have anything else to do.

The result of the battery system shocked the duo so much that they wanted to break into that villa and take away the batteries for themselves. This breakthrough in energy development will revolutionize the world of energy. But...Kai keeps calling them failures.

"Perhaps he wants one that can be used for a century without dying." Wang Chen suggested

"He is being overly ambitious." Wang Yan scoffed.

They said so but they didn't look away from the screen. Kai tried day after day and finally, he accepted that he can only make one that can be used for 30 years but if one counts winter over use they can only last for 15 years at most.

Deciding not to waste more time on this project, he wrote an email to the professor who had originally written the paper.

In the email he wrote the precise calculations and the equipment required. He also made a safe fun size model that will not kill people if it explodes and sent it to the man using the alias 'Fat brain'.
