Alice: "Sigh~~~"

Alice sighed while looking at the box given by her friend, murmuring to herself.

Alice said to herself.

Alice: "Vanessa always pushes me to play games even though she knows I'm lazy."

Alice has a peculiar trait: if she doesn't need to run, she will walk; if she doesn't need to stand, she will sit down; if she can lie down, she will do so without any hesitation.

Alice also quickly finishes every task she needs to do. For instance, with homework, she completes it promptly, then lounges around afterward. If Alice doesn't need to go to school, she prefers staying inside her room, even on holidays.

Alice opened the box and found a CD case displaying pictures of various figures such as humans, elves, giants, zombies, vampires, and several other races from fantasy stories. At the top of the CD case was the title of the game: 'Apocalypse Online'.

It was a VRMMO, a popular game genre that had seen a rapid increase in sales recently due to technological advancements. Alice had the necessary hardware to play this kind of game, although it was covered in dust. It had been a gift from Vanessa on her 12th birthday.

After removing the dust by wiping it, Alice muttered, 'Ha… it's not like I can refuse her.'

Alice then looked at the message Vanessa sent her.

Vanessa's message read: 'Please play the game I gave you; it's a new one. I won't tell you much about it. If you don't play, I'll use my most powerful weapon on you.'

When Alice read the part 'I will use my most powerful weapon on you,' she couldn't help but remember Vanessa's puppy eyes, knowing she couldn't refuse her. Just like every other girl, Alice had a soft spot for cute things, and Vanessa knew how to use that to her advantage.

Vanessa was already convinced that Alice would play the game without hesitation. Alice, considering that not playing the game would be a shame, just shrugged.

Alice said.

Alice: "It can't be helped! Let's start."
