God-King Awakening

The Shrek Seven Devils and Six Tyrants started for the Golden Generation who had broken apart to attack. But an invisible wall suddenly stopped them. They turned to look at the Little God who's eyes had sharpened to the greatest degree.

"Go deal with the Flamens, Xie Yue, and Yan. Hu Liena is mine."

They nodded in agreement and dispersed. Ru Shenqi floated to the ground and stalked forward.

"Mentor, shall we?"

"Xiao Shen, if Ru Zuanshi hadn't hid you from me, then the victory would already be ours."

"Well, unfortunately, my mom did. And I grew up with the best of friends and the greatest Seniors and teachers one could ask for. I wouldn't change how my life turned out at all. Even if I could change time and go back, I'd still choose to absorb those decade millennium spirit rings and become a student of Shrek Academy."

The Three-Tailed Charm Fox gritted her teeth. Hands clenching, Hu Liena straightened and glared at the Little God.

"You said it yourself before, you belong to Spirit Empire. Why are you so loyal to Heaven Dou Empire?!"

"Spirit Empire is crooked. My mom found out too late just how ambitious you all are. I am perfectly content where I am."

A red century millennium spirit ring lit up around Hu Liena. "Ninth spirit skill, Boundless Charm!"

Not this skill! Ru Shenqi thought in a panic. The incantation for her divine domain spilled out of her lips.

"Darkness clouds the sky. Misery clouds the mind. Realm of Sorrowful Souls!"

The cries of the dead fought back against the Three-Tailed Charm Fox's powerful, century millennium, spirit skill. Just then, Seven Treasures Glazed Tile Pagodas rose up all over Spirit City, timely supporting the joint army's troops and spirit masters. All over the city, battles raged on.

The conflict in the north were Supreme Pontiff Palace was located continued. In the east, the Star Luo Army led by the Dai Royal Family and the reinforcements from the Clear Sky Clan battled against Spirit Empire spirit masters. In the west, the Seven Clans fought against the Heaven Dou Royal Army and Tang's Clan. The Gods aided the Ocean spirit masters, led by Sea Dragon Douluo, to fight in the south, drawing on the river that flowed through the city. 

The skies darkened as Gu Xingyun launched his Barrage of Storms. Ming Yong's oppressive Melody and Harmony Domain greatly reduced the coordination of Spirit Empire's people. Tang San and Xiao Wu formed the Coexistence of Two Gods spirit fusion skill. Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing bonded for their White Tiger of Netherworld. The Golden Saint Dragon Luo San Pao glowed from the three pillars of golden white light as Yu Xiaogang, Flender, and Liu Erlong faced off against the Tool spirit Flamens. As the Shrek Seven Devils dealt with the Beast spirit Flamens, the Shrek Six Tyrants fought with Xie Yue and Yan. Ru Shenqi still vied with Hu Liena, but her capabilities as a temporary God-King were starting to become prevalent.

Soon, the Three-Tailed Charm Fox was blown back into the wall of the Supreme Pontiff Palace. Seeing this, Xie Yue and Yan growled. Both launched their ninth spirit skills at her in unison.

"Ninth spirit skill, Fire Overlord!"

"Ninth spirit skill, Falling Moon!"

Ru Shenqi was first caught in Yan's pressurized skill. Much to her shock, she was actually forced to one knee. Leaning on her Golden Scepter, she gritted her teeth, eyeing the multitude of Moon Blades that seemed to fall from the sky like her Nine Stars Meteor Shower. Her Clear Crystal Armor launched along with her seventh spirit skill. And as a Ghost God, she wouldn't bleed anyways. But she was still forced into the ground as a crater was formed all around her. After experiencing the Golden Generation's ninth spirit skills, she had to admit that they were the best of the best in Spirit Empire.

The other Tyrants can running over to help. Together, the seven of them formed their Shrek Tyrants Seven-In-One. With three of them being Gods, and the rest at the bottleneck to the ninetieth rank, their spirit fusion skill was on par with the Shrek Seven Devils' spirit skill fusion technique. Seeing this Godly Spirit Fusion, Xie Yue and Yan could only bemoan in their hearts. Hu Liena picked herself out of the Supreme Pontiff Palace.

"Gege!"

The two formed their Charm Genie skill, and Yan boosted them with his flames. As the two spirit fusion skills faced off against one another, it was indeed a battle to behold. The pink mist from the Charm Genie spread out all over the courtyard. With a roar, the Shrek Seven Tyrants' beastly apparition released its own poison as Shu Jiaxiang and Liao Suyin released their skills. And thanks to Fang Youyou's Flowering Lotus Sky, those without flight-providing spirit bones could lift into the air as well. As such, the Shrek Tyrants Seven-In-One rose up above the mist line and eyed the weapon-holding apparition formed by the siblings. Hu Liena and Xie Yue growled in frustration.

Their voices blended together to say, "Shrek Academy! You have provoked us for far too long. Today, Spirit Empire will emerge victorious! Today, you and your Seniors shall learn the true meaning of power! Flamens, to us!"

The six Flamens broke away from their battles with the Shrek Seven Devils and the Golden Iron Triangle. They surrounded the Shrek Seven Tyrants when Tang San suddenly realized it.

He dashed forward, calling out, "XIAO SHEN, DON'T LET THEM LAUNCH THEIR FORMATION!"

Hearing him, Ru Shenqi broke from her friends and ended their spirit fusion skill. She rose up higher than them and summoned her black jade flute.

Sixth divine skill, Requiem of Souls!

Her tune radiated all over. The enemy slowly began to lose their will to fight. As she played her tune, she launched her Realm of Sorrowful Souls divine domain. The souls of the dead rose up and began to lilt towards the six Flamens and the Golden Generation. Their eyebrows twitched in bewilderment.

She curled up into a ball and began to draw of the aura of death that permeated the air over Spirit City. Soon, a glowing icy blue light grew from around her. Ming Yong's eyes widened.

"Xiao Shen, no!"

"What's she doing?" Gu Xingyun cried.

"You were being controlled by the Rakshasa God the last time she did this," Bai Shanxin explained quickly. "Xiao Shen is forcing the cultivation of the world. She's trying to gain her ninth divine God ring. Permanently!!"

"Stop her!" Xiang Yuezu yelled. "Don't let her become a God-King!"

The six Flamens of Spirit Empire became bathed in pillars of light. This was a coordination technique, much like a spirit skill fusion. But all six came together to create a unique attack without putting all their power onto one person.

"Protect Xiao Shen!" Liao Suyin cried.

Gu Xingyun launched his Heavenly Lion Pride, and his shield spread over the seven of them. Ming Yong's Melody and Harmony Domain snaked out, encasing the entire Supreme Pontiff Palace, cutting the Golden Generation and Flamens off from the rest of their spirit masters, soldiers, and the Seven Clans. Fang Youyou merged with his Rainbow Colored Flowering Lotus as he entered his Spirit Avatar State. Liao Suyin, Shu Jiaxiang, and Bai Shanxin all launched their seventh spirit skills. Fang Youyou boosted them accurately, and they shot out towards the six Flamens.

Ru Shenqi continued to gather the power of the world. Her eyebrows scrunched, and her veins bulged. Sweat beaded on her forehead and soaked through her clothes. She groaned in pain but persevered.

Dai Mubai and Zhu Zhuqing combined for their White Tiger of Netherworld to battle Xie Yue. Tang San and Xiao Wu combined for their Coexistence of Two Gods, helping the Shrek Six Tyrants. Oscar and Ning Rongrong supported their friends and Juniors. Ma Hongjun launched his seventh spirit skill and his Nine Headed Fire Phoenix Domain, going head-to-head with Yan.

Finally, after two hours of an arduous battle, icy blue light exploded. Ru Shenqi's Penta Divine Pearl Diadem instantly lit up.

"Divine Pearl Sea Life!"

She, her friends, and her Seniors were strengthened, and their fatigue faded away. Sent into a frenzy, their attack power increased by one hundred percent. Ru Shenqi hadn't ever used her diadem since become the Head Flamen of Haishen Island, and now she gave the Golden Generation and Six Flamens a fright.

"They just rejuvenated?!"

Even the Golden Iron Triangle and the Shrek Seven Devils hadn't seen her use it. They, too, were speechless but grateful.

"Sect Leader, can you bring me some water?"

Tang San nodded and summoned the Sea God's Trident. He summoned waves of water, and her eyes flashed with a mischievous glint.

"Divine Pearl Sea Assault!"

Her diadem glowed with a bright white light. Soon, storms rolled in. Water and lightning attacks together. Taking the opportunity, Gu Xingyun commanded his Barrage of Storms. Lightning crackled down from the grey-black clouds, striking all over Supreme Pontiff Palace.

Ru Shenqi glowed with a godly aura. "Mentor, how does it feel to have nurtured a God-King? Hahahaha!"

"Xiao Shen's broken through!" the Shrek Six Tyrants cried joyously.

She nodded. "I, Ru Shenqi, the Head Flamen of Haishen Island and Goddess of Souls, am a one hundred and fifty fifth ranked GOD KING! And I will end you all!"

Her eight red spirit rings descended first. Then, her nine, icy blue, divine God rings appeared. Everyone's eyes bugged.

"SHE REALLY IS A GOD-KING!!!"
