The Letter

The next day Breakfast was as lively as it was before, everyone was back and of course Evie the chatter Queen made everyone chip into the conversation.

Annie and Maddie finally felt relived, over the past two weeks, everything had been bland and boring, they would just eat breakfast, lunch and Dinner as quickly as they could because the huge Dining room was somewhat depressive.

Before Breakfast could be wrapped up, a woman entered the dining area without notice, she was wearing a black cloak and she came straight in front of Stella and bowed before her and said "Vice Chancellor"

Stella looked at the lady and said "Rise" and the lady rose and said "Thank you Vice Chancellor"

"What is the matter?" asked Stella

The Lady Looked around the area at everyone. she seemed to be in doubt of whether she should say what brought her here.

"My Chancellor I think it's best that we talk privately, it concerns him" she said as she stepped closer to where Stella was sitting.

Stella had learnt her lesson from the last time "He" was involved so she quickly took the hint and said

"Excuse me everyone I have some official matters to attend to"

"Aunt Stella is everything alright??" asked Annie

"Oh my dear everything is fine, everyone enjoy breakfast!" she said as she walked away with the lady.

Back in Stella's Office

"Now what is it??" asked Stella

"My Vice Chancellor, it's Azazel he sent..." said the lady shakily

"He sent what??" asked Stella

"He sent... a letter" replied the lady

Stella calmed down a bit after she heard letter

"Why would Azazel send me a letter?? except... it's a trap" said Stella to herself as she ignored the lady's presence

"No my Chancellor I did a scanning spell and the later is perfectly safe" replied the lady

"Okay give me the letter" replied Stella

The lady shakily handed Stella the letter just the thought of Azazel and what he could have written in that letter made her shake uncontrollably, everyone in the realm knew what Azazel was capable off and the countless lives he had ended and now he sends a letter.

Who in the whole realm has ever heard of Azazel writing a letter?? if not for the fact that she casted the most powerful scanning spell on the letter she would have doubted that it was safe to open.

Stella slowly opened the envelope of the letter, it made a scrunching sound as she got the letter out of the envelope.

Stella wore her reading glasses, but they were not ordinary glasses they were specifically enchanted to ward off any spell casted, as long as Stella was wearing those glasses no normal spell would be able to be casted on her.

She was the Vice Chancellor of the whole realm so of course she had to make sure to take precautions.

Stella read the letter silently and her face dropped, she could not believe the contents of the letter.

"When did you receive this letter?" she asked the lady

"Well Vice Chancellor it was early this morning, once of the guardians of the gate rushed to me in fear saying that Azazel came to him and asked him to deliver this letter to the Vice Chancellor and i came straight to the Palace to deliver it to you" the lady replied

"What about the guardian where is he now??" asked Stella

"Vice Chancellor i do not know" replied the lady

"I need you to go now and find that guardian and on your way get me Curtis" said Stella

"Yes Vice Chancellor" bowed the lady as she rushed out of the office

Stella sighed and removed her glasses and put massaged her temples

"Azazel what are you up to?" she asked herself in her empty office.

After a few minutes there was a knock on the door.

"Come in" said Stella

"Stella what is it? You called for me??" asked Curtis as he came in and took a seat.

"Curtis we have a big problem" replied Stella

"What is it??" he asked

"It is Azazel" she replied but Curtis did not seem to be surprised

"What about Azazel?" he asked

"Curtis he sent me a letter" she replied

"A letter??" asked Curtis as even he was shocked, he was the guardian on the Greys for many generations and not once had Azazel sent a letter.

Stella handed Curtis the letter and Curtis looked at her with a questioning gaze and she replied "Don't worry it's not enchanted"

Curtis looked at the letter and it read :

Stella,

I have a proposal for you, i come in peace , the proposal concerns the girl and her fate, i know what i have in mind will solve all our problems, i come on the next full moon, if you are intelligent you will not lay any ambush for me.

"So what do we do?" asked Stella

"He said not to lay any ambush for him" she continued

"Well let's play along for now, but one thing is certain... Annie must not be here when he comes" said Curtis

"Yes that is true Annie is not safe in the whole realm as long as Azazel is coming here.. so what do you suggest?" asked Stella

"Although i do not know what Azazel's deal is and what he is playing at but i do have an idea" said Curtis

"Well what is it??" asked Stella doubtfully

"Don't worry i will get back to you, for now just relax and do not tell anyone...especially Annie and Maddie, we do not want to get them worried" said Curtis

"Okay yes i agree, they need to feel safe...especially Maddie she is not stable and she will easily fear if she hears about this and the last thing we want is for her to be vulnerable" replied Stella as she sighed

"Wait.. what about Matt could he have been hearing us" said Curtis

"No don't worry i casted a dome spell on my office, no one from the outside can hear what we are saying" replied Stella

"We can never be too careful, with him around" continued Stella

"Yes i agree" replied Curtis

"Okay that settles it then, get back to me later today" said Stella

"Yes I will" said Curtis as he stood up and walked out the door, leaving Stella in deep thought.
