I'm supicious

A few days later.

"Oh it feels so good to be back after so long" said Maddie as she smiled and she sat down on her bed in her and Annie's room.

"I agree" said Annie as she smiled and she looked up from the book that she was reading.

"I mean everywhere just feels so different and yet the same, like nothing changed since we left, and that's weird" said Maddie.

"I agree" said Annie as she smiled.

"Are you only going to agree with everything that I say or what?" asked Maddie as Annie laughed.

"I mean, I am agreeing with what you are saying, because you are saying the truth" said Annie as she laughed.

"Hmm, I don't know why I don't believe you" said Maddie.

"Maybe because you are thinking of something bad, meanwhile here, I am innocently reading a book" said Annie as she laughed.

"Whatever, I am so bored" said Maddie as she groaned.

"You are always bored Maddie" said Annie as Maddie groaned.

"Well things are more or less the same here, we are all good, and you haven't insulted someone once, mostly because your favourite punching bag Ollie, is nowhere to be found" said Annie as she laughed and Maddie agreed with her.

"You know, you are right, I thought that blondie was only exaggerating and he would be back the next day, but for three days now, there is no sign of him, I guess he really is busy or whatever" said Maddie.

"I actually miss him, he was a great inspiration for insults" said Maddie as she sighed and Annie frowned.

"So you actually admit that he was your favourite punching bag?" asked Annie in disbelief.

"I mean yes, he still it" said Maddie.

"Maddie!!!" said Annie in nothing but disbelief.

"Hey what?? Don't look at me like that, I wasn't the one who called him my favourite punching bag, you did, I am only agreeing with your statement" said Maddie as Annie scoffed, she could not believe Maddie right now.

"You know, I wonder if you will ever be nice" said Annie.

"Correction my dear Annie, this is me being nice, this is as far as I can go with my niceness" said Maddie as she laughed.

"I wonder how we are friends" said Annie.

"Oh you know it's because you can't do without me" said Maddie as Annie laughed.

"Where is Matt when I need him to back me up?" asked Annie as she laughed.

"Oh so you do know that he backs you up in everything? Well sorry to say, he can't help you now, because he too knows just how valuable my friendship is, it's worth more than gold, and I gave it to you both for free" said Maddie as she laughed.

"Righttt" said Annie as she laughed.

"I never knew that you were a narcissist" said Annie as she laughed.

"I'm not a narcissist, the blondie is, and It's not narcissism, it's self-confidence, which I am full of" said Maddie as Annie laughed, Maddie would never change.

"Anyway, on a more serious note, I'm suspicious about Curtis and Aunt Stel" said Maddie as she yawned.

"How so?" asked Annie in confusion.

"I mean, they have so many secret meetings, which Curtis doesn't tell us about, and apart from that, I feel like there's something that they are both hiding from us" said Maddie.

"There I definitely something that they are not telling us" said Maddie.

"Hmm, well now that you say that, I agree with you, Curtis is being more… quiet than usual" said Annie.

"You see" said Maddie.

"So what do you think they are hiding from us?" asked Annie.

"I have no idea, but judging from past experience, is probably has something to do with Azazel, that's the only reason why they would hide something from us" said Maddie as Annie knew that was right, they mostly hid things that concerned Azazel.

"You must be right" said Annie as she sighed, she had almost forgotten for a second that Azazel was still alive.

"Which reminds me, have you seen your magic lately?" asked Maddie.

"Well nope, not at all, I haven't seen her since I got my powers, maybe she's back in me or whatever" said Annie.

"I honestly don't care, it wasn't like she was much help, she was more annoying than helpful" said Annie as Maddie laughed.

"Well this is a first, you never find anyone annoying" said Maddie as she laughed.

"There's a correction my magic is not a person, she is just very annoying, she shows up whenever she wants to, and she never gives me the full information" said Annie as she sighed and she shook her head.

"Well that's weird, anyway, are you going to tell Aunt Stella about you know the…" said Maddie as she took a pause.

"I mean, I don't know, I don't think that I should, what I saw was only the past, there is nothing that we can do to change it, and I think that Aunt Stella knows about it already" said Annie.

"You really think so?" asked Maddie as Annie nodded.

"Well then, that was some nice talking, see you later, I am going to go bug Matt" said Maddie as she got out of bed and Annie laughed.

"The fact that you can casually say that you are going to bug Matt" said Annie as she laughed.

"Well it's the truth, besides, let's be honest it's not bugging, he must be very bored now, and I will come and make him no longer bored" said Maddie as Annie laughed.

"Well have fun with that" said Annie as she laughed.

"I will" said Maddie as she laughed and she walked out of their room.

"Do you think that we should tell them about Azazel?" asked Stella as she looked at Curtis while they were both in her office.

"Let's be honest here, Annie, Maddie and Matt are not dumb, they probably already know that something is going on" said Curtis.

"True" said Stella.

"But I don't think that it will be a good idea to tell them, not just yet, not until we are sure of everything we will tell them" said Curtis.

"Right now, we don't know where Azazel is, and what he is up to, and how powerful he is this time, that information is null" said Curtis.

"I agree with you, so we won't tell them for now" said Stella.

"Yes" said Curtis as Stella heard a knock on her door.

"Come in" said Stella as the door opened.

"My Chancellor, I brought what you asked me to, files from the cauldron" said Armand as he walked into the room.

"Thank you Armand, you can leave now" said Stella as Armand looked at Curtis and Curtis looked at him.

"Yes my Chancellor" said Armand as he bowed and he walked out of Stella's office as the door closed behind him.

"You brought him back?" asked Curtis as he looked at Stella and she looked up from the files that she was looking at.

"Yes, I brought him back, you know how influential his family is in the council, and apart from that, I am sure that he has learnt his lesson" said Stella.

"Are you sure about that?" asked Curtis.

"Well yes, do you think otherwise?" asked Stella.

"That boy's eyes are full of mischief and anger, it won't get him anywhere far" said Curtis.

"Well I have warned him sternly, and he won't dare try to harm Annie again, or else this time, he will have me to deal with directly" said Stella in anger.

"You are too trusting" said Curtis.

"And you are too doubtful" said Stella.

"You be yourself, and I am myself" said Curtis.

"That you are, anyway, you said that Annie saw the initium?" asked Stella.

"She did, and she saw everything" said Curtis.

"You know, it is rather strange that drinking from the eternal waters would cause her to physically see the initium unfolding right in front of her eyes" said Stella.

"It's the so called bad past that all witches hate to recognize, that we were indeed fashioned from the vampires, which does make them and the wolves the first beings, but still we are more powerful, or so many believe" said Stella.

"Stella, I don't think that you seem to understand, she didn't just see the initium, she saw the beginning, and not the old folk's tale, the true one" said Curtis.

"I know, and what does that have to do with anything?" asked Stella.

"The first family of magic, the first boy of magic, that tale is real" said Curtis.

"But that cannot be possible, if that is true then it means that…" said Stella as she took a pause.

"Yes, magic did form from one family, and that was the Greys" said Curtis.

"Word of this must not get out, it will start a revolt among witchfolk, they won't want to believe that the family they hate the most was the beginning of all magic as we know it" said Stella.

"Which is why Annie doesn't want to tell anyone, and it should stay that way" said Curtis as Stella nodded, it was for the best.
