Be there

"Curtis, they really do seem upset with you, you need to apologize to them" said Annie as she looked at Curtis and she turned to look at Maddie and Matt who were talking in the far corner as they had both left her alone with Curtis.

"That is their problem if they want to act like that, I did nothing to them, so I will not apologize" said Curtis coldly.

"But Curtis you hurt them because you were being like this… so cold, angry, why??" asked Annie as she looked at Curtis, this was not the sweet, loving, funny Curtis she knew, the one who would always listen to her, the one who was always beside her, the Curtis here was different he had changed and Annie did not like that at all.

Curtis did not say anything to Annie at all, he just turned away and he stopped looking at Annie, and it made her sad, he was not telling her anything, he was not speaking to her at all, and it hurt her, she could not understand why he was being so cold when he would not tell her why.

"Curtis stop being like this please?" asked Annie as she pleaded with him, and he did not reply to her.

"Okay, Fine, I won't say anything anymore" said Annie as she decided that Curtis was not ready to speak to her now, she would just wait till he was ready to talk to her.

"Aunt Stella wants all of us to have dinner today, are you going to come?" asked Annie as she smiled at him.

"I will be there" replied Curtis.

"Yay" said Annie as she smiled at him, she wanted her old Curtis back, because this new one was cold and mean for no reason at all, she just could not pinpoint what caused him to change so much.

"Ahh…" said Annie as she felt a pain in her head again and Curtis turned to look at her.

"I'm alright" said Annie as she smiled, the pain had stopped very quickly, but her head was aching, like her memories were flooding, and still yet she could not remember anything at all.

"Don't lie to me Annie" said Curtis.

"And stop being cold to me and everyone Curtis" said Annie and Curtis just sighed as he did not want to have to deal with any of this, this was why he had stayed away from Annie, she just did not take things seriously at all.

"Don't say anything Annie, because I am not ready to argue with you" said Curtis coldly.

"Fine alright then, suite yourself" said Annie as she stood up and she walked over to where Maddie and Matt were sitting, well at least now she knew why they were all so upset with Curtis, he was being impossible.

"What's wrong with Curtis?" asked Maddie as she turned to look at Annie.

"He's being impossible, that's what wrong" said Annie as she sighed.

"He won't talk to me, and I don't like it when he does that" said Annie.

"Oh Annie, don't mind him, you don't need to get so upset just because of him" said Maddie as she just felt like punching Curtis for making Annie this upset.

"Maddie is right Annie, he just needs to relax, and realize that he's not doing anyone and himself, any good" said Matt as Annie looked at him.

"I hope he realizes that soon, I really hope so" said Annie as she sighed and Matt smiled at her.

Later that Day.

It was already dinner time, and for some strange reason, the sun had set very quickly and the moon had set it's place in the sky and the stars followed shortly after it, the Palace was very quiet, and everyone was having dinner together.

"It was such a shame that the Prince could not join us for dinner, he had to go back to the Castle" said Stella as she smiled as she drank her water.

"Oh it is such a shame" said Maddie as she laughed, she could not hide her happiness that Ollie was finally gone.

"Maddie" said Matt as he whispered.

"What?" asked Maddie as she looked at Matt and Aunt Stella laughed, Maddie was just being herself, and she could not help it.

"So how was your day John?" asked Stella as she smiled and she turned to look at John.

"And you as well Lisa" said Stella as she smiled at Lisa.

"Well the children at the orphanage had a race today, it was a sports day, and that is my speciality" said John as he smiled.

"Oh stop bragging John" said Lisa as she laughed and Stella laughed.

"Well it is the truth, I used to be a coach, and I still am" said John as he laughed.

"I only hoped that at least my child would get my genes and be as interested I sports like I am" said John as he looked at Annie.

"Oh Dad, don't look at me, you know that I am not a sporty person at all" said Annie as she laughed and everyone else laughed except for Curtis who was sitting beside Annie as he ate his food in silence and everyone basically ignored him.

"I gave up on you when I tried to teach you how to play football when you were six and you called it boring" said John as he laughed.

"Well I cannot help it, I would rather read than be chasing after a ball" said Annie as she laughed.

"Welp since that ship has sailed a long time ago, how about I teach you hot to play football Maddie??" asked John as he turned to look at Maddie.

"Oh Umm… sorry Uncle, but I'm with Annie on this one, sports is not my strong suite" said Maddie as she smiled and she shook her head, she hated exercise.

"Well alright then" said John as he smiled.

"And what about you Matt??" asked John as he looked at Matt.

"Ah…" said Matt in surprise as he did not expect John to call his name or even speak to him at all.

"Well I like sports, my dad and my brothers, we used to play football all the time" said Matt as he smiled.

"How about you and me have a game against each other then??" asked John as he smiled.

"Sure" said Matt as he felt like a miracle was happening right now, John was actually talking to him like a normal person.

"Great" said John as he smiled.

"Oh well everyone, this has been great, I had a good time, but I have to be going now, I have something very important to tend to" said Stella as she smiled.

"Alright Stella" said John as he smiled.

"Bye Aunt" said Maddie as she smiled.

"Bye Aunt Stella" said Annie and Matt as they smiled and Stella smiled at them.

"Curtis would you please follow me, I need to speak with you" said Stella as she stood up.

"Alright" said Curtis as he stood up and he followed after Stella.

After a few minutes Annie had finished her dinner.

"Can I be excused, I want to speak to Aunt Stella" said Annie as she looked at her mother.

"Well alright dear, you can go" said Lisa as she smiled.

"Thank you Mom, I will see you guys later, Bye Dad" said Annie as she smiled and she stood up.

"Bye dear" said John as he smiled.

"Bye Annie" said Maddie and Matt as they smiled and Annie walked away.

"Curtis, you cannot keep blaming me for something that is not my fault" said Stella as she sighed, Curtis was being unfair to her.

"No because it is your fault" said Curtis angrily.

"Why would you teach her that spell In the first place??" asked Curtis.

"*Sigh*, Look Curtis, my duty was to teach her everything… every single thing that I know about spells and I did just that, so what happened after in no way has nothing to do with me at all" said Stella as she sighed.

"Wow it is easy for you to say that, but if she did not know the revive spell, none of this would have happened" said Curtis.

"Look Curtis, I understand your anger, I know what you mean, and I take full responsibility, but at that point in time, I wasn't there, and if I was, I would have stopped her, you of all people know that, I care for Annie just like you do" said Stella as she explained and Curtis kept quiet.

"But that isn't important right now, and you know that, what is important it that…" said Stella as she paused.

"We need to tell Annie" said Stella as she sighed, and she looked at Curtis.

"Tell me what??" asked Annie as she opened the door to Stella's office and she walked in, leaving both Stella and Curtis surprise.
