Shibuya cross.

"YES! I'M A GOOD CONSUMER!" Hachi was screaming with her arms wide open. As if saying 'see world? I'm also good'

Thinking about all the anti-consumerism campaigns that were prevalent in 2021. He wanted to laugh out loud. 'I don't think that it was that kind of consumerism Hachi…'

…Meanwhile, Azusa was thinking, 'How can she scream in front of so many people!?'

Hachi went and hugged the pair while screaming "Thanks Kanae-kun! I will become a great artist!"

Kanae didn't say anything. A lot of the things that he said to Azusa were things that he knew now that he had the memories of two lives.

The truth was that his 16-year-old self before his new memories appear, was also going on the wrong way about making clothing.

He had told the girls about the importance of learning the basics. Something that a lot of beginners didn't do.

And how would they? They wanted to put their imagination into reality. They were anxious to put a mark on the world. And with so many ideas floating around. It was hard to have the mentality of first the basic.

The virgin brain of a newbie was a lot of times the most creative but also the one with the worst ideas. Imagination was like using any other tool. You needed time to develop it and a lot of practice.

There was a reason why an artist like Picasso a savant of the arts, was obsessed with children's paintings. To recreate with a purpose what a child did without thinking.

16 years old Kanae on the other hand was just obsessed with making clothes.

He wasn't learning about the basics. He didn't know the why's and the hows. He just makes clothes. Trial and error. Always putting his ideas into reality.

He progressed through quantity. When you needed to progress with quantity AND quality.

Every worker needed to be your best to truly progress while also not treating them as your baby.

Did you finish a pair of pants that took you a month to make? Good now take notes about all the wrong things. Read about how to make it better and then, put it aside and make another one.

He thought that maybe he could start talking about these things to the girls.

There were a lot of steps to becoming a great artist. And there wasn't a single path. In the end, it was always about what the person wanted in his career. There were a lot of happy musicians that made amazing music and couldn't sing or play an instrument. In the end, merit would never be more important than the final product.

The paths of an artist were endless.

He wanted to keep telling Azusa all of these things, but it had been a lot of information already.

The brain needs time to properly absorb knowledge.

While thinking about all of this he was looking at Hachi that was being scolded by Azusa for bothering the passerby.

He didn't know what to think about Hachi's path in life.

Not that he should think anything about her choices in the first place. They didn't know each other enough for that.

The past week living together had shown him that both Hachi and Nana were really good people. Hachi was a naive girl and an over-romantic. The combination was a dangerous thing for manipulative people with bad intentions and an easy way to make bad decisions.

Like running away to Tokyo and starting Art University only because her best friends were also going. Not that it was a problem for making art.

Some great artists started from old age or just because they feel like it. In the end, the most important thing was to produce and think. The first one everyone could do it.

The second?…they were exceptions to any rule. (A/N: Looking at you people that use the words Beta and Simp!)

Still, he knew that in these moments, when an artist was feeling anxious about the way they took art was important for growing. The best thing to do was to encourage.

And so he did. Putting his hand on Hachi's shoulder and Azusa's, he said to the two of them, "You two will become great artists. Work hard. The world is always in need of new art"

The two of them nodded their head, Hachi being her dog self jumping for another group hug, "Hachi stop! People are watching!" Azusa yells with a red face.

After the emotional roller coaster, the group of three keep walking toward the Shibuya Station.

As they walked, Kanae had the idea of playing a nice game.

One needed to point at a person and tell what music or art that person liked and why.

The game was silly and didn't have much sense.

But helped with observation skills, imagination, and more importantly, help to peek a little about the way that the other could see the world.

It was these silly things that best described a person.

Azusa for example saw an old lady that had a lot of grocery bags with her. She said that, obviously, the old grandma was a heavy metal listener. And the reason she didn't use an old lady trolley was that she was training her muscles for the next concert. Plus the old lady moved her head up a down like those giant head dolls that stick on cars. It was, obviously, thinking about a metal song.

This makes him and Hachi laugh out loud.

Hachi on the other hand had described ten deferents persons. All of them ended up in romantic situations and listen to love songs. It was amazing how much of an over-sharing person Hachi was.

He, on the other hand, liked to describe their living situation through the clothes and style they were using. It was a nice game that help them to get some enjoyment as they walked toward the station.

The first thing they noted after arriving at the station was the famous cross street of Shibuya.

Kanae and Azusa were looking with wonder at the famous 110 building. Kanae especially was getting a little emotional. Seeing such an iconic building was truly bringing home the fact that he was outside the hospital bed.

"It's really great, right mochi?"

"Umu!"

He smiled while looking at the people crossing the street with wonder. It was nice to be alive.
