(1st POV)
"Me? I'm an Angel." I say with a grin. By the look on her face, she looks at me with disdain.
"Angel? If you don't want to tell me then don't." She replies back to me. It's all Michael's fault, who told him to glorify Angels so much. Now she won't believe me.
To show proof I snapped my fingers and the whole town was put in a time spot. I made sure to not let her be affected by the time stop.
"Follow me." I say with a smirk.
Walking out of the store, Anna witnessed nothing short of a miracle. Everyone was suspended. It was as if they were all mannequins. Time has stopped for the woke town, no matter it be a human or even a bacteria, time was stopped.
Walking around in silence, I go towards the road to where the was about to be a collision. A car was recklessly driving through a red light about to hit an elderly man. Going towards the car, I open the door and pull the handbrake on the car, as well as position the drivers leg on the brakes. Just to be sure I move the elderly man away from the collision.
Carrying on walking, I fixed any minor accident, ranging from tea spillings to a crime. I'm an angel after all.
Giving her some time to digest we walk back to the coffee shop and sit down on one of the empty tables.
"So you're an actual angel?" She asks just to be sure.
"Of course, an archangel to be precise. I was there at the dawn of time and have already witnessed the ends of time." I reply back in a monk like state.
"So God exists? Do demons exist aswell? What about heaven or hell? What about…." She continues asking questions, to which I answer.
"Do you have wings?" Was the final question she asks. She is a teenager so it's normal to be that curious.
Standing up, the light start to flicker, winds start to whistle and howl. A faint noise of an old clock starts to ring in the background. Opening all my wings would cause serious effects to the mortal world, so I just open one set of wings. My ethereal wings spread out from behind me, vast and shadowy, the edges blending into the darkness, almost cosmic, exuding both power and grace. But they shimmer faintly suggesting an ancient, divine origin.
Looking at Anna's face, I'm met with complete shock as she stares at me with a gaping mouth. Closing my set of wings, I sit back down opposite her, waiting for her to get her bearings in order.
"Helloooo!" I say waving my hand in front of her and snapping my fingers, trying to get her attention. It worked.
"So…. COOOOL!!!" She exclaims with starry eyes, making me recoil in shock. Looking at her face, I start chuckling, which ultimately turns into a full blown laughter.
"Hahahaha! Sorry, that was the first time I got that reaction. Usually humans would start bowing down in reverence, praying to me for Gods favour. Haaaaa, this was sort of refreshing." I say calming down my laughter.
Looking at her once more, I start to feel my paternal instincts increasing. This was the first person to make me laugh in this world. Since my creation, I have never had someone who could make me feel human emotions. Angels were slaves to God, emotionless robots, they are the perfect soldiers.
Looking at her now, she is terribly malnourished. My aura is keeping her monster side at bay for the moment, but if I keep showering her in my aura, the hunger will build up more and more till she goes on a psychotic rampage.
Snapping my fingers, time starts to move normally again. Looking out the window, we can see near accidents happening, such as the elderly man finding himself on the other side of the pavement. The confusion on human faces were prominent.
"You seem hungry, let me get you some food." I say to her.
"But I can't eat, food starts to taste like dirty socks dipped in manure. It's disgusting." She replies back with her head down, her hair blanketing her eyes.
"That's because your a ghoul, you need dead humans flesh." I reply
Disappearing from my spot, I look for recently dead humans. I don't want her to be eating rotten flesh. Finding a recently dead woman, I approach. Giving a silent prayer, I start to butcher her body. Draining the blood from slicing the carotid artery. Finally, I butcher her body into pieces, getting all the meat. I've already smelled her to see if she had any infections or diseases, which she hardly does.
Returning back to the shop, I enter the kitchen and I start cooking the meat. (A/N: Hannibal Lecter learnt from him ;) - I won't go into detail since that'll just be weird.) I put the meat in a refrigerator, and put a time stop on the meat so that it doesn't spoil.
Coming out of the kitchen with a steak, I present it to Anna.
"Eat." I order her.
Grabbing the utensils, she slices a piece of the meat, with her hand shaking, expecting it to taste disgusting. She puts the food in her mouth, and starts chewing.
After a couple of seconds, she starts to eat the steak quickly, feeding her hunger.
"Slow down there's more." I say to make her slow down her eating.
Slowing down, she finally starts to wonder what type of meat it is.
"Where did you get this? Usually I can't eat normal food." She asks.
"Some things are better left unsaid." I reply.
Looking at her, I can see she finally connects the dots. She drops her forks and starts shaking.
"It's for your own survival. So eat."
She looks at the food for a couple more seconds, then she starts eating. Tears where coming out of her eyes. Her hand shaking, and her face showing a mixture of disgust and hunger.
"Do not worry, I will get the meat for you. You don't need to know anything about it, just eat." I reassure her, turning from human to monster is the hardest transition.
"Mister, I finished." She says snapping me out of my stupor l.
"Do you want more?" I ask.
"No, No! I'm already full for today, thank you."
Looking at her plate, it's spotless clean. Maybe not knowing what the meat is exactly helped her eat.
"Ummm, mister, what's your name?" She asks
"Amon." I reply back to her whiles taking her plate from the table to wash it.
After cleaning the plates and utensils, I brew some coffee for the both of us. Ripe coffee beans, picked from the southern western part of Ethiopia. I make her a mocha, whiles I have a longberry.
Bringing the freshly brewed coffee, we both drink in a bit of silence before I say,
"From now on you'll be living in the motel, you still have to go to school, but I'll be your legal guardian. You'll come back into the coffee shop after school to start working. I'll pack your lunches, and you'll get paid whiles working for me. Other than that you are free to hang out with your friends or do whatever."
"I don't have any friends." She replies looking downcast.
"Then make some, you don't have to live in fear of hurting someone." I say with a calm look on my face to reassure her.
"Then I agree." She says with a small smile.
"Tomorrow you'll go to school as normal. Today you'll start your job as a barista. I'll teach you the basics." I say, getting up to start preparing.
~~~~~~~~
-A week later-
"I'm back!" Anna says coming back from school.
After a week she has started to look more human, her cheeks are starting to fill in, she's gained back some fat. Plus she's starting to look more cheerful.
During this week, I fed her as normal. I fed her double the amount of normal humans because she needs to gain back her muscle and fat. I've also taught her how to serve customers whiles taking down orders and delivering coffee to them.
"Then put on your uniform and get started." I order her
"Oh yeah Amon, did you hear about the recent animal attacks? Apparently 3 people were found dead with their hearts missing, and they were mutilated by claw marks." Anna informed me.
Hmmm, what to do? Looking into the future, I smile towards Anna.
"Don't worry your little head about it. It'll be taken car of soon." I tell her, looking mysterious.
"Get ready, its peak times now, people will be coming in."
-The next day-
In the morning, I finished cleaning up the store to get it ready for opening. Anna comes down, still in her pyjamas. She has terrible bed hair. She comes down the stairs yawning, whiles scratching her belly.
"You've really gotten comfortable haven't you?" I ask her with my lips twitching.
"Yeah, yeah. What's for breakfast." She dismisses.
"Nothing if you don't brush your teeth and shower."
Saying that done the trick as she runs upstairs to quickly change her clothes and shower.
Making breakfast, I look outside from the kitchen mirror, and I see a black impala, parked in the parking lot of the motel.
'So they've arrived.'
Dismissing those thoughts for the time being, I make breakfast for Anna. Obviously consisting of meat and black pudding. I also make her a latte. I put I fine stop on the food so that it doesn't cool down and would still be hot after she comes downstairs.
After half an hour, Anna comes downstairs finally looking proper and clean. Giving her the breakfast, I sit her down.
"Do you remember telling you about hunters?" I ask her
"Yeah you did." She looks up at me, replying to my question.
"Well there are two of them in town right now, I know you don't cause trouble and I really couldn't care less if you do, it'll just be troublesome to take care of without any of my siblings knowing I'm here." I warn her.
To be honest, it's really no problem that they are here. To me, humans are ants. They can never be anything more than ants. However these two brothers are in the limelight of all creation. Various beings are looking out for them. So to not make things more trouble than it's worth, I warned Anna do nit create problems, act normally and warn him if anything happens.
"Why are they here?" She asks.
"Because of the 'animal' attacks. Wherever there's a possibility of a monster attacking innocents, hunters will always be there. So watch out."
She nods at me, understanding the situation. It's good that she understood. If not then she'd be more trouble than what it's worth.
"Hurry up and finish your food, it's time to open up."
An hour later, the store opens and customers come flying through. Im at the front desk taking in orders, and Anna is helping me with it. It'll be fine for me to take care of it myself, but to human eyes it'll look way too suspicious.
As the rush of people slow down, and the ones left are those sitting at tables, the door rings.
"Welcome, what can I do for you." Anna asks the tall man.
"Two coffee, black, no sugar." Orders the man.
"May I have your name for the order sir."
"Uh.. Sam. Uh Sam Winchester."
To be continued….
Sooo, how did you find the chapter. I hope you liked it. I was going to give the lore of the Mc in this chapter but I wanted it to be a special reveal. Like Sam and Dean looking for a way to defeat the Mc and they go search for his history.
Cass telling them about him. Death mentioning him. You know, all that jazz.
Anyways I don't know if you've noticed, but I've been writing this fan fic on my phone. I done this whole chapter with one thumb, aswell as half asleep. So if there's any mistake, do find it in your heart to forgive me.
Anyways, thank you for the chapter. See you next chapter.
