Itennu charged with his spear, using his momentum and speed to generate more power. The spear pierced and the boar squealed loudly, it thrashed about and Itennu pulled the spear out from its body as he couldn't push it any deeper with its tough muscles. The boar kept squealing and snarling, turning to face Itennu. It kicked the ground in anger and took up a stance readying itself to charge.
Itennu stayed calm, as large amounts of blood were spilled on the ground near the boar. The spear was stained with blood and Itennu readied himself for the charge. The boar screeched loudly, and charged forward, kicking up dirt. Itennu's heart raced but he held fast in the creatures charge, it was as if he had been in this situation before.
He gripped his spear tightly awaiting the boar's charge, his feet planted to the ground in a wide stance. Itennu didnt notice he took the stance reading himself for the enemy ahead. The boar was coming closer and closer until the last moment where Itennu took a step forward, pushing the spear using his right hand and using the momentum of the boar against itself thrusted the spear in between its small eyes. as it punctured the boar, Itennu gripped tightly with his left so he wouldn't lose control and pushed hard with his right. Itennu's feet dug into the dirt being pushed back but he wasn't knocked off balance.
Itennu blinked twice as he wiped the blood off his face as the boar fell dead, and as it did something strange came up before him, it was translucent, and seemed to resemble a piece of parchment and had a hint of blue to it as well. It read as,

Itennu read the ghostly text many times wondering if his body knew what this was, but it didn't as the sense of familiarity or instinct he had with other things was absent. Then who bestowed upon him this piece of parchment?
He reached to touch it but he felt nothing but air as his hand right through it, this took Itennu aback as he dropped his spear and fell to the floor. He was experiencing a seemingly paranormal phenomenon, the piece of parchment followed him down glued to the center of his vision. Just what mythical creature could have given him this?
Itennu looked at the words in front of him wondering what they could mean. He will have to use his investigative abilities to find out what these stats, skills, and abilities must be. The text showed his name but not his last which he didn't even bother remembering, it also showed his Level? Titles, a Class?, and Experience. He recognized how the titles described him as a Hunter, Forgotten, and Betrayed. He took a keen interest in the titles Forgotten, and Betrayed, could these pertain to how he ended in the forest but why would someone leave him in this forest?? To kill him? But wouldn't they know he had experience in being a hunter? And why was he even betrayed?
He pondered his brain but as usual nothing came up, and a headache formed. At this point, Itennu was more curious as to why he was betrayed, then angry that he was even betrayed. The thoughts in his head swirled round and round, but he was getting nowhere. He needed his memories back. He had no idea what Class could mean, does it refer to a social hierarchy presented by a society?
If it does then why is nothing there, he referred back to his Forgotten title and kind of inferred it probably had something to with that but he honestly didn't know. Experience, Itennu knows what the word means, but does it mean something else? It also seems to measure something, and stop at a certain threshold of 100. He would have to experiment to find out what it measures
He made assumptions on stats based on what they say and deduced that Stats measure his power(strength), speed(agility), and intelligence(Intellect), and skills are things he has learned to use, such using a spear(Spear Mastery) or making a fire(Engineering) and loincloth(Crafting). Itennu couldn't tell if he had these skills beforehand or if they only appeared once he did a task that resonated with the skill. The numbers seemed low in his eyes
He rested on the fact that the skills shown have been there beforehand as that would make the most sense, on how he was able to make a fire, hunt and skin animals, and to throw a spear. However, all of this was just a hypothesis and he really didn't know what this stuff meant.
Itennu felt he should deal with this latter and should skin the boar immediately before it would bask in the sun too much. The ghostly text vanished in the blink of an eye, just like it arrived, Itennu worried it would never come up again, but at the thought of it, it once again appeared. The sudden arrival made Itennu jump, it appears with a single thought. Itennu can call upon this translucent piece of parchment, like a royal servant but what was a 'royal servant'?
Itennu recognized this time he was thinking too much and focused back on the boar. It took him some time to skin the large creature but he eventually did, washing away the blood at the nearby river. He didn't cook the boar, as it would take too long to cook and it was much too large to eat, but he retrieved and took the bones and tusks of the boar.
He also made the fur into a makeshift sack with the same type of branches to make the fire and tied it around his waist like the loincloth. He put the bones inside and continued his journey until it grew dark and thought he should give his power recorder a look.
As he thought of it, it appeared before him, out of thin air, he saw it twice and was still astounded by it. He looked at his stats and wondered what stat points did. It appeared he had ten of them but he didn't know how to use them. He felt like since Strength, Agility, Vitality, etc, are all stats then these points should have something to with them.
He looked at seemingly random numbers next to these stats and tried to invest a point into a random stat. He decided to pick agility, and sure enough, he saw the number go up by one, and his stat points go down to nine.
He invested three points in Agi which he believed helped his speed, and three in Strength which he believed increased his physical power and the rest in Vitality which he believed increased his resilience somehow, he still was very unsure with this stat in particular. Itennu set up a sort of measuring course regularly jumping from trees he would measure if the agility stat made him faster and punching trees he would measure if the strength stat made him stronger.
He also had three ability points which he didn't see the last time, but he had no abilities to spend it on so he couldn't do anything with them.
Str: 14 -> 18
Vit: 8 -> 10
Agi: 15 ->19
IItennu woke up from his sleep and continued on his path along the river, hunting rabbits and the occasional boar, with each hunted animal he would gain experience, which in turn caused him to level up upon reaching the set exp threshold.
He leveled three more times and with each level up he would get 10 stat points and 3 ability points. He deduced that level was also something that measured his power more broadly and invented his stat points like he did the first time, making his strength 30, his agility 31, and his vitality 16, he noticed as these stats were increased he would get faster, stronger, and recover his stamina faster he found this out after recording his speed during his measuring course but the increase was minuscule but this seemed to prove his hypothesis on strength and agility correct.
Itennu wondered if there were limits to this power recorder or if he would infinitely get stronger, he felt, as of right now he was in the bottom of a very deep hole and he could only get stronger. Silent Foot, Spear Mastery, and Dagger Mastery increased by one, and by this time Itennu had retrieved enough bones of boars, and fur to make some armor.
He first made his boar sack larger, and then thought about how to make armor utilizing boar fur and bones. He came up with many drafts in his mind, although he had never crafted armor before he felt it would be easy as all of it would be just tied up together. He used the rib cages from the boars, to protect his own, and saw the bones as good protection against slashing attacks, and used rabbit and boar fur to tie it together and hold in place.
The ribs of the boar wrapped around his ribs, with gaps in between them, his chest and shoulders were covered in the tough boar hide, and soft, and flexible rabbit fur tied it together. He also improved his loincloth making it tighter so it wouldn't fall, and the front longer using boars instead of rabbits.
He sharpened the tusk utilizing his dagger and carried them around his loincloth. He would use these like throwing knives. Doing this gives him one new skill and increased Crafting to 4, and Skinning to 5 also.
The new skill was Armor Worker lvl1, he got the skill when he made the boar armor, and this showed to him at least that these skills only appeared once he does a certain activity and having prior knowledge does not grant you the skill and he noticed as his skills increased he became more proficient at what he did, as skinning became second thought, and since he was always hiding his presence he would honestly do it without thinking which he increased to level 7.
Hiding one's presence has to do with their breathing, and intent, as most people or animals have a tingling sensation when they are being watched but hide presence negates this. However it does not mute the sound of one's movement, and as Itennu started to carry many things with him he was making a lot of noise.
Using his silent foot he would muff;e his footsteps and silently come up behind creatures, but first, he would drop his boar sack, as it shifted and rattled when he moved. Itennu was now a seasoned hunter, it was funny that only three days ago he had no knowledge of anything. This body obviously remembered doing these things so it came naturally to him but why hasn't he known them since he woke up, why has he only remembered them when the situation arrived or have a vague understanding of what to do.
In truth he hadn't a single thought, he hoped he would remember something he recognized as being familiar as he walked through the forest, but three days and still nothing. It appeared to Itennu he would have to leave the forest for answers. Itennu stopped as he saw a large cave, and torches lit up near it. There it was again 'torches' something he doesn't know of but the name just appears in his head.
They looked to harness fire, and they burned adamantly in the forest. The cave was in a large rock that Itennu couldn't see the end of as it dipped down further into the earth. He observed quietly from the trees, covered by the shadows. He heard a rattle coming from the cave, echoing loudly, coming closer to the entrance, Itennu went into cover more and more, as the rattling was loud enough to burst from the cave, and it did.
A creature made of bones, carrying a blade, that was chipped and damaged but still seemed to be in good shape. The creature rattled with each step as it dwelled outside the cave, it seemed to have no eyes, and no idea Itennu was near, but it commanded a sense of eeriness and danger that made it unapproachable. Itennu's mind had a familiarity with these creatures, which calmed him down a considerable amount at first taken aback by the creature's unusual appearance.
Itennu couldn't tell the power of this creature, but he wanted that blade he carried in his bony hand. It was a blade with a good length, longer than his dagger, both had leather handles, and metal crossguards, the dagger, however, was a curved blade with one edge, and the sword was double-edged.
Although he recognized the blade as a sword, he still felt a somewhat unfamiliarity to it. He quietly moved through the bushes and trees, until he was behind it, he started his slow creep towards the skeleton moving accordingly when it turned. The creature seemed dull and unaware, it walked around with no clear goal, it stopped occasionally until Itennu was in attack range, instead of using the spear, he had used the butt of the dagger, swinging with all his strength, at its head.
The reason he did was because he recognized bones were resistant to slashing attacks and since most bones are curved, attempts at stabbing are not only ineffective but might slide off due to the bone's natural curvature. The blow shattered its skull, and it meekly and slowly lumbered before falling like a pile of bones, dropping its sword. Itennu grabbed the sword and felt its weight, the creature he just killed was new to him so he studied it picking up the bones, and skull. The skeleton was obviously that of a human, but something phenomenal happened before his eyes,
The skeleton's white bones, turned bright blue and a bright light blinded Itennu, as the body disappeared leaving a murky, ominous, purple crystal, about the size of his fingertip, but a little larger. Itennu's heart raced, as he watched these events unfolded, what just happened?
