Ancestor of Cultivation

Zhou Yongnian was taught the way of cultivation by the supreme deity Shangdi. However, what the god didn't tell Zhou Yongnian is that he must teach the humans of modern times how to cultivate. Follow him as he tries his hardest to follow up on the impossible. Disclaimer: This is a parallel universe. Not everything may be historically accurate. No clue why I must disclaim this.

Cultivation. Are you okay son?

"Erh, son are you okay?" Nate said in a worried voice.

"Yes, Li I think something is wrong with you" Katy repeated in the same worried tone that lingered in Nate's voice.

"Now parents, you must listen to me, please at least try it." Li's fears were coming to light. No one would believe him. But that didn't mean he didn't plan for this exact moment.

He put his plan into effect. Trying to convince his parents to at least try it. And after seeing his hesitation he was very anxious, but they decided to give it a try.

Maybe they tried because they thought it may be Li's imagination and his own fantasy, so they would pretend it would work.

Or so they thought. However this one fateful March night would be the beginning of the Kennedy couple's cultivation journey.

"Okay, just sit in the lotus position and the-" Li was swiftly cut off by Nate because he was asking an important question.

"What is the lotus position." Then Li proceeded to explain and show what the lotus position is. After the explanation Li proceeded to explain how to cultivate, and what his method was.

Not expecting anything the parent's both closed their eyes and followed along with the instructions they had been provided by Li.

And to their absolute surprise, it worked like a charm. But before they knew it, they had been cultivating for 20 minutes.

After that time Nate opened his eyes and he expressed his bewilderment but also managed to stay rational, thus he asked his child a series of very important questions.

Questions like; "Where did you learn this, why does it work, and why didn't you tell us sooner. Even though Nate was able to maintain some level of composure he was still pretty panicked.

"Calm down father, you will learn all of this info in due time. I'm going to my room for another night of cultivation, please do not disturb me." And without another word Li left the room.

"But son-" Nate was stopped by Katy and she had an odd look on her face.

One week later...

Li and his parents talked a whole lot. They were just very short conversations, and he was just giving them advice about how to cultivate and the other necessities that come with it.

Li was sitting in his room contemplating about his cultivation and when he should reveal it to the world.

Although it may be selfish Li decided to become a little stronger because he realised his opportunities with the Qi in this world.

But of course that isn't the only restraint holding him back because age is also something to take into consideration.

But Li was still very excited about the thought and opportunities. His heart would always palpitate at the thought of it.

But these were all things for the future.

His monologue ended with his father yelling frantically. "Son, son, come down here, something amazing happened!"

Li was slightly confused, but obliged with his request regardless, and once he got down the stairs he could tell the Spirit Qi was slightly altered in the surrounding area. This would typically infer someone recently had a breakthrough.

But Li obviously didn't know that. However as soon as he saw his dad he could see the manifestation of strength surrounding his father.

This only lasted for a second because someone with such a brittle cultivation couldn't possibly keep his aura up for long and it would obviously be very weak.

"What happened son, why am I so much stronger? Why do I feel so much more radiant?" Nate had a multitude of unanswered questions.

"Father what you have just experienced is what I call a breakthrough. It is a dramatic increase in strength and there are 9 of these breakthroughs in a realm.

And for a while Li sat on the couch of the living room explaining to his father about the concept of realms he came up with.

Currently it was only up to Meridian Tempering because that was the stage he was at. And his father was pretty astounded by the thought of immortality.

And Li was pretty stoked to. He was able to open his ignorant parents eyes to a much better future.
