Chapter 119

Before he knew it, the two of them arrived at the site for the water lantern festival. After getting out from the car and showing their tickets to the staff, they were allowed entry into the festival area and also provided with a floating water lantern, keychain LED flashlight, marker, and wristband. They were informed the price of the tickets covered the cost of collecting and removing the lanterns from the water following the event as well as cleaning up any trash that might have been previously been in or around the water. Then they began to decorate their lanterns and write out their aspirations for the upcoming year. Vincent was pleasantly surprised to read the words on Anthony’s lantern.

“Great minds think alike.”

Anthony blushed. “You, too?”

Vincent lifted his lantern and turned it around slowly to show Anthony the words on it. “I hope to spend the rest of my life with you, so we can continue to do fun activities like this for the rest of our lives together.”
