Prologue

The gentle morning light scattered over the clouds. The air rich with the smell of sweet flowers filled the city. The "heaven", as what mortals called it, does indeed exist. It's a place where the supreme deity and angels live. There are even legends among the folks of mankind where only people with a good heart can reach such a place when they pass away.

Like humans, angels and deities also have a fixed lifespan in which people can get old and brittle. Death is also a mystery to them. It is said that there was once a time where humans and angels lived together, but due to the angels unnatural powers and differences to humans, they were discriminated against and wars erupt. The greedy king of the human empire demands a cloak made of feathers of the angel's wings and will reward the human who is able to bring back the feathers from angels. This results in the large massacre of angels being hunted down like animals just for mankind to remove their feathers.

An angel wing, unlike bird's, does not have the ability to regrow back their feathers which means each feather is as important as an angel's life. The angel's feathers were also demanded for its ability to never rot or wither despite falling off the wings. It is stated in the legend a kind young man has specially warned the angels of a huge army which was ordered to invade them for their feathers. This causes the angels to flee their land and reside in an alternate dimension called heaven, and while they were relocating their home, the young man sacrificed his own life to buy time for the angels. After relocating to heaven, a young female angel who claims to have planned this out with the young man took the place of being the leader of angels. She and the forefathers built this nation in heaven in order for the future generations to live. It's a tragic story, but the mystery of the reason that young man saved the angel clan is unknown, some people say its because the young man view the angel clans as important as humans, while some claim that the young man planned to save the angel clan so he can be rewarded, blinded by the greed, he was killed by the soldiers of mankind, resulting in his own death.

After this incident, the angel clan continues to live in heaven, with a tradition set by the first supreme deity that a candidate of a new supreme deity will be only chosen by a special insignia, which is said to be able to choose the angels worthy of being the supreme diety, or at least, the candidate…...
