Lin Shuya was searching for Qin Churou's grades. Her eyes naturally fell upon the top name on the list. As expected, the first place was occupied by Su Yixiu, the perennial champion. Second place went to Lu Ming.
Lin Shuya confidently assumed that third place would surely be her own Rou'er. Qin Churou had consistently secured third place in most of her high school exams, occasionally fluctuating to other ranks but never dropping out of the top ten. No wonder Lin Shuya held such high expectations.
Yet, third place, with a score of 701, was Chen Chen—not Qin Churou. A sense of disappointment settled in Lin Shuya's heart. Rou'er must have underperformed this time. Surely, she thought, fourth place would be hers.
