Chapter 97

Back at the hotel,

Renna stood from her seat and chased after Edward who was striding out of the hotel, avoiding her calling.

For once,she did not care about all the eyes that were popping at her curiously and awkwardly.

She was behaving like a lunatic.

She managed to get to Edward when they were already out of the hotel.She held his hand tightly as she looked at him,tears covering her cheeks.

She looked like a ghost with all the make up ruined by her tears.

"Let go of my hand Renna!"Edward barked angrily at her but she didn't let go of him.

"Just listen to me Edd,"she begged while tugging his arm with all her remaining might.

Edward really wanted to listen but when he remembered that she lied to him, telling him she was in Gel for business then tried to screw with another man,it hurt him that the interest to listen to her desipatated.

He had done everything in his power,not only to let the marriage between them work but also to give her everything she wanted despite her not loving him....and that was how that b*tch could repay him!

His anger surged all the way to his throat when he thought of all that.He spinned towards her,his hand on the air.

He wanted to slap the nonsense and stupidity out of her thick head but he didn't.He ended up pointing at her face with his index finger.

"I will land on you mercilessly if don't let go my hand,"he hissed angrily at her and forcefully yanked his hand away from her grip making her stagger backward but she didn't loose her balance.

Edward resumed walking towards his car.

"I did it for us Edd!"she yelled as he walked away.He halted,turned around and walked to where she was standing.

Renna looked at him expectantly as he walked towards her.He stood very close to her and glared down at her teary eyes, darkened by the black mascara and eyes pencil she had applied earlier.

"Did it for us you say?...you and who?"he asked in a low growl.

"I did it for you and me Edd!"she responded moving her hands towards his waist.He stopped them mid away and pushed them away.

"You and me?...I never knew I was that important to you and I must say am very much impressed...but how would cheating on me and wanting to ruin another woman's marriage be good for me?"he asked,his voice still a low growl.

"I wanted to make our marriage work Edd and all I could do was hurt that Maxwell Storm and I would be at peace and give our marriage a chance,"she spoke between her sobs.

Edward....

A smile...

A chuckle...

A louder chuckle...

A chortle...

Renna was confused by his reaction...what was amusing in what she just said?If it were in any normal circumstance,she would yelled angrily for him to stop laughing but now...all she could do was just stare at him in bewilderment.

"You take me for a fool Renna Evans, don't you?"he asked looking at the girl who stared at her confused,a smile still on his face.

She didn't understand what he meant by that and so she just stared at him with a more confused expression.

Edward saw that and he got a bit serious.

"No no... don't give me that expression Renna.You think am a fool like yourself right?...you think I don't know that you were dating Max then you left him and flew to Spark without telling him?...who was hurt between you two?"he asked angrily,his voice quite raised, attracting the attention of the few people around them who were already looking at them with interest.

"He was hurt and he didn't want any revenge towards you but why would you want to revenge?...what did you want to revenge for?"he asked moving closer and closer towards her.She stepped back as he continued moving towards her.

He was now yelling and it was beginning to get embarrassing for Renna as other couples walked past them and others kept on staring at them.

"Please lower your voice Edd,"she begged in a low voice while joining her palms before him.

So she could also be that humble,huh!

"Don't tell to lower my voice you shameless woman...never in your selfish life say that to me again.I have done everything I could to make you happy but I think am not enough for you.You are very shameless and very selfish and am filing a divorce right away,"he spoke as he stretched his hand another one of his bodyguards handed him his phone.

Renna rushed close to him and held his arms strongly so that he couldn't make the call.

"Please don't do this Edd.Lets talk this out...am ready to do anything for you to forgive me,"she spoke as she broke into tears again.

She couldn't get divorced.It would shame her and her entire family name.

Her fame and image will be tarnished and she couldn't let happen.

Her family and her would loose everything they had.

"You love me right?....you can't divorce me,"she continued coaxing him in tears.

"Ofcourse I love you and ofcourse I can divorce you...infact I will divorce you and get custody on my daughter...watch me,"he declared sternly making Renna fall on her knees.

"Nooo...nooo,Edd.Please don't do this to me.Dont separate me from my baby, please,"she begged tugging on his trousers.

Edward could feel her tears wetting his trousers.He felt very compassionate as he looked her.His heart softened but he couldn't let her act get the worst side of him.

He had to teach her some manners and a life time lesson.

"So you now remember that she is your baby?....I have tried making this work for four years Renna but no...you are too classic to make your marriage work...you left your two years old daughter in Spark and flew all the way to Gel just to retort a revenge on your ex lover...and you call her your daughter!?...no wonder she hates so much and I can't let my daughter be under the watch of a selfish and shameless woman,"he spoke, pushed her from his foot and walked away.

Renna landed on her butt when he pushed her.She hugged knees tightly and sobbed loudly.

"Let me not see you anywhere near my properties or my daughter!...see you in court,"he yelled at her as he walked to his car.

"Drive!"he growled at the driver when he got into the car.

His heart was aching and his whole mind was in agony.Just some hours ago,she had told him that she loved him.He thought she really did and was ready to start their marriage afresh but it was all a sham.

She called to tell him that something came up and she wouldn't make it to the dinner he wanted to take her.

He blindly believed her just find out that she lied to him so as she could go out with another man!...

She left him in Spark a week ago to take care of their baby,Princess, saying she had an important business to take care of in Gel.

Was that the important business that was worth leaving her daughter under the care of his father!?

A drop of tear rolled down Edward's cheek as he thought of all that.

What had he not done for her..?

Rayan got home late that night.He had gone for a party at his friend's place.

It was a bachelor's party and he dared not miss.He frowned a bit when he saw the lights in Renna's room on.

"Why are the lights in my sister's room on?"he asked his butler when he got into the house.The old man was standing there to welcome him home.

"Madam is home...she is in her room,"he responded calmly,his head slightly bowed down.

'Why would she be here!?...was she not supposed to be at Maxwell's house?'he questioned as he unhurriedly walked to her room.He twisted the knob open and walked inside.

Rayan was half shocked when he saw his sister sitting on the cold floor.She was hugging herself as though she was afraid of something.

"Renna,are you alright?"he asked with a frown on.

Silence***

Ofcourse he knew she wasn't okay.The Renna he knew would never sit on the floor and hug herself that helplessly.

sob*sob*sob!

'Is she crying?'Rayan asked himself as she sat close to her.

He wrapped his hands around her and pulled her to himself.He had never seen her sister cry except when their mother died.

He hugged her tightly as he caressed her hair softly.Renna broke down in her brothers arms.

She sobbed loudly as she shuddered in his arms.Rayan didn't know what was wrong all he could do was get her to calm down.

"Hey,it's fine now Renna...calm down,"he coaxed her in a soothing voice.

"It's not fine Rayan....I have messed up my life...I have messed our lives and our future now.I couldn't be a good sister.I couldn't be a good daughter.I couldn't be a good mother.I couldn't be a good wife either and now...,"she spoke within her sobs that were easily travelled through the quite night.

"What happened?"Rayan asked concernedly.Ofcourse all she said was true but again,he wanted to know what made her just realize that.

"He found out Rayan,"she began, confusing him even more.

"Who found out what?"he asked in a confused tone.He was infact running out of patience as he waited eagerly to know what happened.

"Edward.He found out about Max and I...he is going to divorce me...he is going to take my baby away from me Rayan...he said it.How will I leave now...how will I leave without my baby?"she sobbed as she looked at her brother's face.

Rayan felt hurt too.He knew that would loose everything if she got divorced because the President, Edward's father,sponcered all their businesses...but the most important thing was,it would tarnish Renna's image and she would be separated from her daughter.

He pulled her in his arms and hugged her tightly again.

"Calm down...I won't let it get to that extent.I will talk to Edd and I know he will listen to me,"he coaxed and she continued sobbing in his arms.

Edward was his very best friend too but he wasn't sure if he would be able to change his mind for Renna.Maybe for their friendship.

It was worth giving it a try though.
