CHAPTER 14- GETTING A TEACHER 1

Just at that moment, the man climbed down the tree while clapping his hands and heading towards the boys.

"Amazing amazing...simply too amazing" he spoke with bright eyes as if he had just found a treasure.

Lucian and Nate turned their heads and stared at the stranger before their eyes with furrowed brows.

"Who are you?" Lucian asked

Even though his guards were still up, it wasn't as intense as when the beast had appeared. He knew the other party was human. Although his aura seemed stronger with a large amount of Qi circulating within, he felt no danger around him.

The man was stunned, he hadn't seen the boy well enough when he fought the beast. But looking at him now...If this boy grew up, his looks would cause even a man to fall head over heels. And is that a pair of golden eyes he is seeing? He felt he had seen those eyes somewhere before, those magical eyes, but where?? Regardless of who the boy was, he couldn't sense any danger from him. He just found him pretty interesting. He fixed his gaze and answered him.

"Relax am not a bad person. But to be honest you're good. I arrived here for the three-horned wolf. I only needed its horns for something, but as you have killed it, it is yours now to take. I suggest you remove its crystal core from its body now. The energy depletes after remaining in the body for long."

"Crystal core???" Nate asked, looking curious.

"you two look ignorant, ooh yhh. I almost forgot. Just now I saw your little playfight, am guessing you're new to all this. Do you need a teacher?"

He asked because, to be honest, their fighting was too pathetic.

He walked closer to the beast then, he searched the heart region and skillfully carved out a shiny blue stone. After wiping the blood off it, he tossed it to Lucian as he was the one who killed it.

Although the crystal core was important in making swords and other weapons, one intermediate crystal core didn't mean anything. Besides he didn't come there for that. It would have only been a plus after getting the horns. And also he wasn't selfish, he didn't kill it, so it naturally didn't belong to him.

Aside from that, looking at the two boys, he thought that he had found a much better treasure. He had never seen a boy that age kill even a low-class beast, let alone an intermediate one. Though...he could have killed that thing easily, it would have taken some time. But just with two moves, he saw a boy about 12 years kill a beast that should require 6 to 7 moves even for a skilled man like him.

The three-horned wolves are known for their especially tough skin. But the boy didn't seem to have difficulties in killing it at all. He felt he wasn't ordinary, he suddenly wanted to know him more.

Play fight?? That was swordsmanship they were practicing ok?? And he was the master. He dared called his serious business a playfight... Nate thought staring daggers at him.

Lucian caught the shining blue-looking stone, that had been thrown at him.

' I almost forgot, absorb the energy in it. Although it doesn't have much effect on you. It will be useful that way' Raphael's voice rang in his head.

'How...??'

'just activate the energy in you, it will naturally attract it into your body.'

Lucian followed and he felt the power from the crystal flow into him, it was very little. He didn't feel any change in him at all.

Just then Nate snatched the core and stared at it in awe. Today was indeed his fruitful journey, he had seen things he never thought existed.

" So would you boys like to get trained?..." The man asked again.

Before Lucian could answer, Nate rushed and stood in front of him, with his arms spread out to protect Lucian.

" Why do you want to help us? You don't know us, we were doing fine on our own." Nate said, genuinely afraid the man might have something up his sleeves. Especially after seeing Lucian do something out of the ordinary. Everyone feared and pushed his best friend away after just looking at him, why would this one suddenly show kindness?

Nate couldn't help thinking. He felt so useless when Lucian faced the beast alone. He wanted to help. He wanted to be able to protect his friend too.

" I agree I was a little shocked after seeing what happened. In fact,

that is what piqued my interest, but I have no ill intentions. The thought of being able to see the result after training you two earnestly is enough to make me feel good. Besides you both look different from the kids I've met in the town. And am sure you know about the academy recruitment, it's not easy to pass the test. I don't know if you have a teacher, but I can groom you guys. Looking at how united you are, you'd be better than any they have met."
