The night after the trials there was a graduation ceremony and Lord Imad took the time to say a few words and present the family crest to all the young bloods who had passed the trials.

Alice and Lily were in the same group and naturally stood together, but they were followed by a bemused Roosevelt, who had seen the split between them and was now standing between them with a clearly disturbed look on his face.

The graduation ceremony was not a grand one, there were not many people, but the atmosphere was solemn.

Alice forced herself to focus on Lord Imad and watched as he handed out the family crests to each of the young bloods who had passed the trials.

The school was located in Lord Imad's castle, after all, and Alice saw him quite often, but every time she saluted respectfully and left as quickly as she could, not wanting to talk to him at all. It was clear that she hated him.
