Barry and Nancy

"Take it easy." Barry also withdrew his shocked expression and tried to change the subject, "Is it for me?"

Nancy looked at the apple that was rolling around on the floor, nodded in shock and shook her head again, "Yes ... Oh! No! It's not!"

Amused by her reaction, Barry propped his chin up and whispered, "Can you tell me about the old days?"

Nancy's heart was beating wildly, trying to calm herself as she slowly sat back in her chair, "The old days, they weren't so good."

Once the words were out of her mouth, it didn't seem so hard to continue with what followed.

She tried to think, trying to find something slightly warmer in those confusing stories, "Back then, you weren't quite the same as you are now, a lot more impulsive than you are now."

"Don't you like blueberries?" He suddenly spoke up, looking serious, like he was sure of something.
