ALL the calls I've received today faded to become background noise. The conversation was muted. It wasn't even noon yet, and here I am feeling like the whole world decided to simultaneously direct their attention to Dark Mountains.

Alphas from other packs have extended their condolences, but we all know they just want to get inside information about the murder. Since it was also related to the killing in Flamed Rue, it was even more crucial for these Alphas to know more.

They all want to keep their packs safe. For some reason, the information about my father's death quickly and easily transpired outside the pack.

It wasn't something to be bothered about since many of the Dark Mountains wolves have jobs in towns where they work with wolves from other packs. The werewolf community in the country was linked by human settlement. We communicate and meet in towns where there are more humans than wolves, the neutral ground.
