Chapter Eleven

Kar looked over to see Lynn's eyes change once more as she looked at him. Her wolf was in control. "Why did you let her go?" he could tell she was mad. "I will not put my hands on a female like that. She was only upset her mate was killed." Kar explains. She walked over to him. "I don't care she treated what's mine. I want her found and killed." Kar didn't know what to say. This was not his mate. Lynn was a kind forgiving woman.

"Love we can't rule with fear we have to lead with care and compassion." She growled at him and he unknowingly took a step back from her. "I will rule how I see fit. I rule all. Even you." Kar looked down at her. "Let me talk to Lynn now." He was trying to stay calm. "You do not tell me what to do." She shifted and lunged at him. Kar dodged her but just barely. He shifted as well and ran outside to get her away from prying eyes.

Chandra ran after him and attacked she felt Lynn screaming at her in her head but blocked her out. She bit down on Kar's flank making him whimper a little. "What is wrong with our mate?" Miko asked him. "Hell, if I know. See if you can get her to see reason. I don't want to have to hurt her." Miko took over. "Chandra please stop and let us talk." He asked nicely. "I have nothing to say to someone who let a rouge walk away with there life." She jumped and had gotten him by the neck making him whimper again.

Kar then felt her release him and looked up to see Lynn was back in control. She looked terrified at what she had done. "Love it wasn't you." He went to stand but it sent pain down his body. Her head snapped up. She shifted back as did he. Lynn linked their Bata to come help Kar back to the house. She silently followed behind him her head down in shame. Kar was quickly asleep, and Lynn walked out to the balcony as the rain fell around her.

What had she done? Her wolf almost killed her own mate. She had tried to take control back, but Chandra blocked her out. She sat in the rain for hours her body soaked and shaking from the cold. She didn't deserve warmth right now. Her tears mixed in with the rain she didn't know when she fell asleep. "Love wake up. Lynn, shit your freezing cold." She felt him pick her up, but she didn't care what happened to her.

Kar placed her on the bathroom counter and tried to remove her wet clothes, but she refused to let him. "Lynn you are going to get sick." She just stared at the ground. She didn't deserve his help. "Love please don't shut me out." He lifted her chin and her eyes saw the bite mark from her on his neck. Lyn pulled away and ran from the room. She had made it outside and into the woods.

Kar tried to talk to her from the link she had hidden her sent from him. He and Miko were worried about her. She was soaked and had no shoes on. The wind was getting stronger and he started getting frantic. "Alpha she over here by the cliff edge." His Bata told him, and Kar took off to his mate. He was feeling her pain and hurt.

He stepped into the clearing and slowly walked towards her. When she looked up it broke his heart. She looked lost and scared. Her body was shaking as she stood there. Then she started to say something that damn near killed him. "I Lynn reject you." He ran to her and placed his hand over her mouth. "No love don't you dare. We will figure this out together like always. Don't leave me alone." She had tears in her eyes as he held her.

"Let's go home, Lynn." Kar picked her up and carried her home. Once more in their room he helps her into something dry and lays her in bed she hasn't made a noise since she almost rejected him out of fear. "Lynn please say something." She just turned on her side away from him and closed her eyes. he knew she was still crying, and he didn't know how to help this time.

When morning came, he woke up and found her still in bed. She was just laying there. He touched her arm. "Lynn, I think you're sick. I will go make you some tea and get you some meds." When she didn't respond he got up. Kar made her some tea and came up to the room grabbing some cold meds from the bathroom. "Here this will make you feel better." Kar saw her turn away from him. "Lynn you need to take them." But she refused to.

Kar placed them on the table and lifted her chin. "if you don't take care of yourself you will get worse and could die." Kar saw it in her eyes that she didn't care. He let out a growl. "Lynn you will take this." She looked at him and shook her head no. Kar went to get some air. He knew he couldn't force her. He had been out there for 15 mins when his Bata ran to him. "Get inside now something is wrong with our Luna."

Kar ran to her but couldn't find her. He followed her sent to the locked bathroom and that's when he smelled it wolfbane. "Lynn open this door now." When she didn't, he broke it down. He saw her with the vile in her hands and slapped it out. "What do you think your doing? That can kill you." She held no emotion in her eyes though. She truly didn't care anymore. "We are going to the Moon Goddess Lynn." He took her hand and pulled her from the house. He was not going to lose her.
