Chapter 14
Lynn was in their office looking over some papers when her phone rang. "Hello." She said as she placed a file down. "Yes, is this Luna Lynn?" the voice said. "Yes, it is. How may I help you?" she asked. "I'm the alpha of the blood moon pack. We are having a lot of rouges attacking our pack and we were just wondering what we should do?" She sat up in her chair. "How many times have you been attacked?" Kar walked in and saw the look on her face. "Over six times now." She needed to ask but didn't want to. "Did they have red eyes?" she heard the alpha gasp. "Yes, they did how do you know?" she felt Kar rub her shoulders. "We will come to help you drive them away." She hung up the phone.
She looked at Kar. "They have the rouges from my dreams attacking them. They asked for our help in driving them out." Kar tells his Bata he is in charge until they get back. Both him and Lynn head to the pack next to theirs to help. As they get closer Lynn jumps out of the car shifting as she ran to the woods. She smelled the blood and followed it talking to both of her wolves.
"They are close," Chandra says with a growl. "Relax Chandra we can't just run in without a plan," Ulva tells the wolf. "They need to die already." Lynn groans. "Love we are behind you." She comes to a stop. "Kar can I mute out my wolves. There fighting is giving me a headache?" she heard him laugh. "We are not that bad Lynn. Now let's go kill shit." Chandra says as four rouges come out of the woods, she lets out a warning growl.
When they don't back down, she gives Chandra control. "There lives end here." She was all black as she lunged at the rouges. She had killed three of them when four others came running at her. Just then she saw one hit the tree next to her. She looked up to see Miko. "You will not touch what is mine you filth. You will wish you were never born." Lynn even felt the shiver as he stood in front of her to protect her from harm.
Chandra stood up slowly and stood next to her mate. "We do this together." She growled out. Miko nods his head and the two-fight side by side. A wolf had Chandra pinned when Miko came over and grabbed it by the neck-snapping it with ease. "And you get on to me for doing that." He touched what is mine and only mine." She felt the power coming over him. She walked over to her mate rubbing her head under his. "I love when you say stuff like that." As the pack they came to help catches up to them Miko lets out a growl letting them know they are close enough to his mate.
Lynn takes over and shifts holding Miko's head against her. "It's okay my love they won't take me from you." The alpha took a step closer causing her head to snap up. "You will fall back now unless you want my mate coming after you." The man bowed and took his pack home. "Miko we are safe. Can you please let me talk to Kar?" she whispered as her hand lightly tailed down the fur on his back. Kar shifted pulling her close. "MINE." He growled out.
Kar sank his teeth into her mate mark causing her to moan out. She grabbed on to him. "Mark me love now." He asked his voice was a mix between him and Miko. "As my Alpha commands." She did and when he let out a howl that shook the trees around them. She smiled as she licks the blood off him.
When she looked down, she saw her mark had formed a wolf howling at the moon with trees on the wolf. She looked up at him both had only one thing on their mind this night.
It was another two hours before they made it to the packs house they were helping. The alpha bowed to them. "Alpha and Luna I thank you for coming to our aid." Kar and Lynn both nod. "Rise and show us the ones injured." They followed the man. "This way our Luna is with them trying to help them." As they walk in a woman runs over and bows. "I'm sorry I wasn't there to greet you. My pack needed me down here. I do hope it was not seen as disrespect." Lynn raised her hand. "No, it wasn't I understand. What can I do to help?"
After walking around seeing all the wounded they are shown to a room. "Sorry, it is nothing like you used to." The Luna says. "It is fine Luna. We will see you tomorrow morning." Before she shut the door though she heard someone yelling. "You dumb runt. Can't you do anything right?" Lynn let out a growl and walked over grabbing the man. "Don't even think about laying a hand on her." She growls. "Or what? You may have everyone fooled, but I know the truth. You're a runt and always will." This time it was Lynn that snapped his neck.
The alpha and Luna both looked at her as she kneeled in front of the girl. "Are you okay little one?" the girl nods slowly. "Kar link our Bata to come here. This girl will become part of our pack." Lynn stood up. "If I ever see another person treated like this the whole pack will suffer for it." Lynn takes the girl their room to clean up and wait. When there was a knock on the door the girl looked up and the Bata growled. "Mine." He said walking over to the girl who was shaking.
He kneeled next to her. "I will not harm you, my little mate. Let's get you home okay." The girl nods as she takes his hand. At the door, she stops and turns. "Thank you, Luna Lynn. No one has ever stood up for me." Lynn smiles. "Trust me dear I know what you have gone through and it will never happen again. Your mate is a good man. I hope we can be friends."
