A place which connects two worlds

"What?" Alastor was taken aback by Alexa's request. She was asking him to become his slave. He rolled his eyes and sighed.

"Alexa, I didn't saved you for making you my slave! It's my job to free innocent beings from evil forces. So, you are free to live your life." He patted her shoulders and asked her to stand up.

But she refused and bursted into tears.

"I-I don't know where I should go...I don't know if there is anyone who knows me. What will I do ?''

"I-I am sorry, please don't cry..." Alastor panicked and quickly took out his handkerchief to wipe off her tears. It was his first time seeing a young woman crying because in his sect he has only seen warrior women who only have bad tempers.

"I think you should take her with you because I don't think anyone from her family is alive. In these 300 years no-one came searching for her! The only person she knows now is you ," old witch added.

Alastor sighed again. 'Let's prepare myself for scolding from mother.' He murmured under his breath and forwarded his hand towards Alexa.

"Let's go, I don't want to waste anymore time."

"Really?" Her face brightens up as she stood up and thanked the old witch.

"Don't be too excited because where you are going is a very dangerous place for innocent woman like you!"

"Why? Does your place only have men?" Her innocent question surprised Alastor.

He laughed and commented,"You are quite funny."

Alexa smiled brightly. And after struggling for a few minutes she mumbled,"Master you were so cool before fighting with demon werewolves. You didn't even have to use your fist, with just a single glance of your eyes they were scared off!"

Alastor stopped after hearing her comment and turned back, bending over to face her . He felt like drowning in those green eyes of hers, he gulped when his gaze stuck on her blood red lips. He quickly stood up and turned his face in another direction, he said,"You don't try to butter me up with your sugar coated words."

"No, I'm telling the truth..you were really cool."

"Really! Ahem.. thank you! Now let's get out of this forest, otherwise who knows they may attack again!"

Alastor holds Alexa's hand and with countdown 3,2,1, 0 both of them ran like they were tearing off the winds. Sorry,no they were not running, they were actually flying. Alexa was holding Alastor's shoulders and her face was buried in his chest.

"Are you scared? This is my power ability... look how beautiful the forest is from a distance." He smiled, increasing his speed.

"No, no...I will fall down."

He bursted into laughter again.

After a few minutes of staying in the air, Alastor landed on the ground at a safe pace.

"Master, you have arrived. We were so worried about death." Group of men approached him and bowed their respect to Alastor.

"Master, you should be a little bit concerned about your identity. You can't go wandering around like a bachelor. Do you want me to inform this to grandmaster?" A sharp, concerned voice echoed from the darkness.

"Oh, general Diana Ross is here!" He chuckled .

The men who were stunned silenced because they were eyeing on the woman who was in their master's arm. They wanted to ask but their guts were zero.

"Who's that woman with you?" General Diana asked, coming forward. Her tall sexy body came in contact with moonlight, making her face gleam gorgeously.

Her long straight brown hair dazzled over her waist and her piercing blue eyes stared deep in Alastor's eyes.

She was holding her swords which had blood dripping down but not a single drop of blood was on her. This showed how deadly and brutal Diana's swordsmanship was.

"She is someone who I have saved from demon wolves. Her name is Alexa, she is unconscious."

"So , what are you planning to do with her?" Diana asked, raising her left eyebrow in concern.

"Take with me to our sect!"

"What?" Group of men reacted in shock.

"Master, are you aware of what exactly you are saying? You can't simply bring anyone because you feel sympathy for them!" Diana storms at him and puts her swords back in stabbars.

"Leave her here and let's head back. Our boat must be waiting, if we miss that we'll have to wait for another month and live in this hell forest which is currently habited by demon werewolves."

"I'm not leaving her, let's go!" Alastor walked towards.

"Alastor Creed, how can you go against me?" She yelled angrily at him losing her temper.

"It should be Master Alastor Creed, you shouldn't have called me by my name." He turned back and glanced sharply at her .

"Also I'm the heir of our sect, I can take anyone with me. Your job is to keep quiet and follow my orders not to give orders. Do you get it, general Diana Ross?"

"Y-Yes , master."

Diana looked at him, she had first witnessed Alastor losing his temper. All because of that woman. 'Who exactly is she?'She murmured, clenching her fist.

All of them walked through the snowy mountains. It was dark but the moonlight was playing a good role as a source of light to them.

Alastor rolled his fingers in the air and fire flames crawled out forming into a light ball.

"Who was that woman whom you scolded?" Alexa murmured softly. All this time she was pretending to be unconscious because Alastor had told her to do so.

"She is a general who has a duty to protect me! She sometimes loses her temper but she is a very good warrior and has a kind heart."

"Really?" She smiled.

"No, I don't mean she will be kind hearted to you. So don't get on her nerves when you will be staying in my place because her only way to vent out anger is killing!" Alastor replied casually and whistled.

"Oh!" Alexa hides her face , her eyes fluttering in concern imagining how tough her life was going to be in Alastor's place.

They all stopped in front of a large mountain cave. Diana walked in front and placed her right hand on the closed cave surface. Fire flames erupted from her palm melting the snow of that area. She takes out a round pendant from her pocket and places it on the rocky surface which suddenly lits up in gold.

Diana steps back , and there is a magical activity. The snow covering the cave all melted down and a strange structure of magical figures formed on the wall. The ground shakes a bit and the cave's door cracked open.

"Catch those wizards , they were the ones who killed our brothers!" A loud growling of werewolves roared there in the dead snow mountain.

"Oh my god! Hurry up fast, master, get inside." Diana took out her swords and ran towards the attacking werewolves.

"Diana came back,now . Otherwise the cave doors will be closed." Alastor shouted, they were getting late.

Diana slaughters the pathetic wolves and rushes inside the cave, unfortunately some of the werewolves were able to get inside the cave.

Diana and her campaigns slaughtered them one by one. Alastor ran towards the end point of the cave. Diana and other men followed Alastor because from here only Alastor was one who remembers the way out.

This was not just a cave but a connection between two worlds. And whoever mistakenly enters inside this cave is bound to get lost and meet their death because this cave has no source of food,water and the temperature inside is very low enough to freeze anyone to death. Only the masters of the Falling Mountain Sect knew the path which links two different worlds.

One is the mortal world where humans, werewolves, vampires and lower witches live . Another is a magical world where everyone lives a very long life span. It's a world of higher wizards, witches, sorceresses, mages and elfs. Alastor Creed and his campaigns were from the magical world .

But every world has evil energies which causes harm to innocents. And the higher residers of magical world discovered that there was evil deeds done by black magic in mortal world. But the other world cannot interfere in other matters, so the elders decided to conduct a search mission. Because they believed that the witches and wizards of magical world were the one who somehow travelled to the mortal world and were doing such hideous deeds with innocent mortals.

"Do you find any clue of who is behind those demon werewolves' creations?" Alastor asked.

"No, I attacked their pack but they were only the dead ones who were resurrected by black magic," Diana reported.

"What about you guys?" Alastor glanced at others.

"Um..we were.. like...!" They messed up their sentences.

"Good, I will need to teach you some manners after we return back." Diana pointed her sword towards them.

"Speaking of which, have we arrived early? Where is that old boat man?" Alastor looked restlessly towards the distant river.

Alexa opened her eyes slowly to see where exactly they were but all she could see was darkness.

'Should I ask the master to put me down? He has been carrying me for this long time!' Alexa thought and looked at Alastor.

A very handsome face came into her view, she blushed.

"What happened? Are you alright? I'm sorry the temperature here is a bit down so just bear with it!"

'Why is he so polite with me ? It's making my heart beat crazily! Get hold of yourself girl, he is your master who saved your life. How can you harbour such evil thoughts about your saviour? Shameless!' She cursed herself in frustration.

"M-Master can you put me down?"

Alastor looks at her with a worried face. "Why?"

"Um..you must be tired because I'm heavy."

"No, you are light as a feather . I don't mind carrying you for your whole life!" He laughed.

'Oh! He is not giving up . I need to bring up something else!' She placed her hand on her stomach and pretended to be in pain.

"It's an emergency, please let me down. I think my period has started." She murmured, making a painful face.

Alastor was stunned, he quickly let her down. "Ahem, I am sorry..I don't know about womanly things but you can use this handkerchief." He pulled out his handkerchief and gave it to her and walked to his campaigns.

Alexa stares at the handkerchief and smiles. 'He was so cute with his embarrassed face, LoL.' She puts that handkerchief safely inside her dress's pocket.

'Why do I feel like someone is staring at me ?' She turned back and was almost startled to see Diana standing there.

"Hello, I'm Alexa. You are General Diana Ross who is a great warrior, right?" She forwarded her hand to shake with her but Diana stood there , no expression on her face.

Alexa backs her hand and with a low voice she murmurs,"I am sorry for causing discomfort. Please don't be angry, I will work hard to please everyone."

Hearing those sorry sentences Diana laughs and leans forward near Alexa's ear. "You know what, you can never please everyone because you are just a mere mortal."

Alexa felt like she was openly insulted but she kept her cool because Diana was telling the truth. And truth is always cruel.

"Hurry up , you two." One of the men called over.

"Yeah coming." Diana looks at Alexa in frustration as if she was internally cursing her how dumb she was.

"Are you planning to stay here? He called us, didn't your ears hear their calling?" Diana grabbed Alexa's hand and dragged her behind.

They arrived near the bank of black river. Alexa looked around, the water of the river was emitting a strange green smoke. And she looked up ,the sky had a red moon and there were no clouds.. very strange!

"Please step in!" Alastor forwarded his hand, Alexa smiled and held his hand and stepped inside the bed.

After getting inside, Alexa tried to give her hand so that Diana could come but she was given an unfriendly glance instead.

"Don't worry Alexa, strong women don't need help from others. Only weak one need support and sympathy!" Diana's cold answer pierced her heart. She was just trying to be friendly but she was given warning.

Alexa quietly sits, Alastor also sits beside her. 'Don't be friendly with her , she is a very cold hearted woman!' He whispered near her ears giving Diana a creepy look.

Alexa nodded and peeped at Diana, beside her temper... she was a gorgeous lady.

Suddenly, her gaze met with the old man who was rowing the boat. But what the heck! That old man doesn't have any face, his face is just a skeleton of a human and his hands were all bones.

"M-Master that man...is he not a living being.. he is..."

And before Alexa could say anything, Alastor placed his fingers on her lips. "Shhh! Living beings can't stay in this place. This is a place between life and death...here no life exists."

"But... We are living beings, right?" Alexa reacted in shock.

Everyone sighed in frustration.

"It's because we have the current ability which allows us to cross this dead river. And you are alive, we all are alive... don't panic ." He patted her shoulders and nodded at his campaigns to stop whining at her.

Alexa shivered in fear, this was the first time she was experiencing such strange things. She glanced at the water of the river and a string of shivers was sent down to her spines. 'The skeletons of dead human bodies are floating in this river. What exactly is this place? And who is the master and these people! They look like human beings but why do they seem so powerful?' Alexa thought , all confused.

"Don't look back! They'll drag you into the river." Alastor covered Alexa's eyes with his hand because she was about to look back.

"Why shouldn't we look back?"
