Chapter 4 - The Secret Baby

Ryan's outburst earned him two things, one of which was a slap at the back of his head. It was Miller.

"What the hell?!" His eyes red as he turned to his friend.

"She knows she's an Omega, you don't have to pronounce it for her, you stupid alpha." Miller scolded him.

The second implication of his outburst shocked Alison that made the smile vanish from her lips.

"Oh sorry sorry baby, he is not that social, forgive his caveman behavior." Miller apologized on his behalf, attempting to laugh it off.

He doesn't know the story behind those two, but he could feel the tension between them.

"Um, do you two know each other?" He asked, looking from one person to the other.

"No." Alison answered, sitting well, almost like standing tall on her chair. In her company.

In that moment, she knew she had the upper hand and she was going to make him pay for the hell he made her go through while she was still a member of the Moonlight pack.

"What brings you here, Miller?" In a professional tone, Alison Jaden, CEO of Jaden Insurance Corporation , asked.

"Oh yeah, he is in much trouble, Bella, much worse than mine before we met." Miller's expression turned from playful to serious in a span of seconds.

"Oh?" Confused, Alison said.

"Yes, so please we need him in one of those programs you have for packs, and the extra one too, you know where you investigate the problem." Millar said.

"That is not a problem, but I kinda need him to speak for himself." Alison said, pointing to a frozen Ryan.

He stood there like a rock, blinking as he took a good look at the Omega he used to molest and force to do his bidding.

"Um, Ryan, you have to speak…" Miller said tentatively, moving closer to his Alpha friend to give him a nudge.

"You know what? Fuck it!" Ryan walked out of the office without looking back.

Kira, who was working on her system, was surprised to see Mr. Night's friend walking out without him.

"Is everything okay sir?" She called out, but there was no response.

Alison smiled and looked at Miller. "I don't think he needs help."

"He does! I don't know what is wrong with him, I am very sorry Miss Jaden, I'll talk to him and we will come later." Miller apologized in a serious manner before running after Ryan.

"Bye Mr. Night." Kira called after a running Miller.

"Bye Bye Kira darling." Miller replied without stopping.

"What's wrong with them?" She mused, before returning to her task. Then she remembered that her Boss was inside. She rushed in.

"Is everything okay, ma'am?"

"Just fine Kira, everything is just fine." Alison replied with a smile, shu-ing Kira away with her hand.

Ryan didn't bother to wait for Miller, he walked straight into the forest nearby and shifted into his gigantic brown colored wolf.

He raced to his pack, his mind all over the place.

There was guilt, anger, suffocation, confusion. His emotion was heightened, but he managed to calm down before his pack house came into view.

"Jackson , come to my office now." He sent through the mind link.

"Yes Alpha." The beta replied, racing to his Alpha's office.

Jackson had initially thought he was coming back by night, so he planned to spend the day with his mate, Linda.

"You have to go?" Linda pouted, feeling dejected. She was looking forward to spending the day with her mate.

"I'm sorry Sweetheart, I'll make it up to you." Jackson knew she loved when he called her sweet names.

"Okay, stay safe." She hugged him.

When he got to Ryan's office, the alpha was pacing, looking like he had a lot on his mind.

"Is everything okay, Alpha?" Jackson asked, silently praying that whatever it was, was not his fault.

"What do you know of a company called Jaden Insurance Corporation ?" Ryan questioned, stopping his pace.

"I know they are very good in handling pack finances, they also produce a really good clothing line called JIC Brand, it's sort of like an all round business." Jackson answered, stating everything he knew about the company.

"What about the CEO?" Ryan asked again.

"Oh, Simon and Emily Jaden? They come from old money, I think. From what I heard, they are extremely wealthy and influential." Jackson  nodded, after remembering the information.

"Do you know of Alison Jaden?" Ryan was almost fuming, not getting the answer he wanted.

"I think she is their daughter. Is everything okay Alpha?" Jackson  saw that Ryan was acting strange and he didn't like it. It could lead to him having to do extra pack work.

"Look into her, I want every information on her, where she was born and raised, everything." Ryan commanded. "Now!" He shouted, prompting Jackson  into action.

"Oh yes Alpha." He bowed and rushed out of the office.

Being a modern pack has its peck, Jackson was able to gather information in no time.

"Alpha, I am back." Jackson called out, almost out of breath.

He took a deep breath, before reading off of the paper.

"She is 25 years old, she was adopted by Emily and Simon, we don't know when, but now that they are dead she is in charge of everything they own, their money, company, even influences." Jackson  stated, then stopped.

This action made Ryan get suspicious, he asked. "What is it, Jackson?" That was the first time he would call Jackson by his given name.

They say Betas didn't miss it and almost got emotional from it.

"It is a strange one sir." He replied, a frown adorning his face.

"Just tell me!" Ryan commanded, shooting out of his chair to look Jackson  in the eyes.

"She has a child that no one has ever seen."

"A child?" Ryan inquired in a whisper.

"Yes alpha, a child." Jackson replied, whispering as well.

"How old is this child?" Ryan questioned, after clearing his throat.

He blinked once, then twice …then he swallowed in anticipation as Jackson opened his mouth to respond.

"The child is Six years old, Alpha."

Two words rang in Ryan's head.

"Oh no!"
