He could still remember the day when he had joined the soccer club in middle school. Only because he had wanted to impress his father.
His father had never been easily impressed. Being a persistent child, he had not thought of giving up. Playing his father's favourite sports would get his attention. He had thought that. And succeeded.
From that event on, it was like the dream of a son who seemed his father's acknowledgement had come true. All of the sudden, Lucien seemed interested. Sometimes, he would even come to Nevan's games. It pushed him further into becoming better.
