The Lute Player

Of all the ancestors who were favoured by the immortals, one attained to the eternal realm for his goodness, wisdom and talent. His name was Pheno, a gifted youth who could heal a dying soul with the beautiful music he played on his lute. He composed divine melodies that could expel and vanquish evil spirits from people.

Pheno was playing his lute as he was tending a herd of sheep in the valley by his village. A long winding road passed through the land and led to a magnificent palace. The enchanting sounds of the lute strings filled the valleys and the fields with wonderful sounds.

A rich carriage was passing through the land. As the horse drawn carriage approached the young man it stopped in its tracks, and an elderly King stepped out.
