Chapter 22- For Justice

Chapter 22

I just close my eye subconsciously when I heard that sound and my hand was trembling. 'I just kill a human!' that was the only thought in my head, I never even punch a human and now I just kill a human.

I cannot think for a moment because of the panic, after the muffle sound of gun were heard, the room is now silent. I slowly open my eye and preparing myself mentally to witness a dead body infront of me.

But the moment I open my eye, the only thing I see is a pair of violet blue eyes staring at me with hint of amusement in his eye not far away from my position.

'When did he get so close' was my thought when he just suddenly appear in front of me. Didn't he suppose to be on the ground right now, writhing in pain, ask to call ambulance, beg for mercy, give a sad backstory?

I back away from him, afraid of what he's going to do now. But it was my mistake because when I back away I stumble on the bed and land on it, the gun on my hand slip away from my already trembling hand.

I see he grasp the gun and lift it up, I close my eye resign to my fate.

I'm sorry Mom, Dad, I'll go first.

But the sound of the anticipating gun was not heard. The only sound that was heard is some solid object knock my head.

*Chop*

"OWWWW" I cover the top of my head and start to roll around the bed, it's hurt a lot. I think dying is not that pain but I was wrong, it hurt a lot.

'Wait, dead? How come I can still think if my head was blown up?' I slowly open my teary eye and search for my murderer. I see that he is now dressing up. I can see that he has no intention of doing anything next because I cant see the gun anymore. Maybe he hide it

"Why didn't you kill me?" I ask in a low voice hoping that he cant hear me, but my gambling is wrong. He turn his head toward me and looking at me weirdly.

". . . Do you want to die that bad?" he said while putting on his long black hoodie. If he is not a law breaker maybe he will have a successful career as a model, or just marry some rich horny lady.

"NO!!" I protest and sat back up on the bed. And looking at him with my still teary eye " Who want to die!! B-but I just shot at you. Didn't you want a revenge or something" I ask fearfully, god I feel stupid asking this question. What if he really want revenge?

"Ouh I will take my revenge then" he said simply, reach his hand behind his pant and pull out the gun he hide there. I close my eye again, this is it. Goodbye Mom, Da-

*Chop*

"Ow Ow Ow Ow" it was so painful that I start holding it with both my hand and roll around the bed. Why did he do that?

"WHY DID YOU DO THAT?!!" I just yelled at him, not caring what is his identity. It hurt like hell, I can see he tilted his head a little to side and look at me with confuse gaze.

"… Revenge?" he said in questioning tone. This guy is getting on my nerve now, even a anti-social person like can get angry you know?

After a couple of minute of tossing around my bed I start to calm down. I look at him and see that he already fully dress, must take his time dressing up I was rolling in pain here, he just sat there on my makeup table crossing leg and 'play' with his phone.

On his mouth there's a new cigarette that he just lit up, he made this house as if it was his home.

"Why are you still here, aren't you suppose to run or something?" I ask. He just look up from his phone and look at me, this guy is weird. He has a gun, break into my house, attacking the innocent me, and still looking innocent infront of me as if he didn't do anything wrong.

". . . . to explain myself ? I have not ever been caught before by innocent people, so I didn't know how the procedure are." he reply. I just stare at him and was speechless. What is up with this guy? Did he think this an army or something? Or is he just joking right now.

" Are you joking?" I ask, his calm facial expression didn't change but I notice that his mouth twitch a little bit.

"Yes"

" Then explain yourself" I decide not to bother with it and ask him.

"I'm just guarding your door while you're out, the window is not locked and the open wide open. So I think you should be grateful to me?" he reply with serious expression. I don't know whether this guy is joking or not, I cant read his expression AT ALL!!.

"Y-You Lia-" I didn't get to finish my word when I heard someone shout my name from outside the door.

"BELLA!! Are you home? Come here for a sec" Mom voice was heard from the outside. Great! Mom is back, I can just let her handle this. I glare at the man in front of me and made a quick dash to the door.

"MOOM!!! Quickly call the police. There is someone break-ins in our house, the intruder is in my room!!" I open the door and quickly shout for mom.

"Y-You better stay here and –" I didn't get to finish my word because when I turn around the guy that was just standing behind me already disappear.

I heard a quick step getting nearer,

"BELLA!! What happen, are you alright?" Mom rush at me and check on my condition. After making sure I'm okay she look around my messy room, with the still wet towel on the table and the messy bed.

And then she look at me weirdly

"Bella, are you alright my dear?" she touch my forehead "Hmm, you don't have any fever either. Aren't you just lazy to clean up your room and made up this excuse?"

Lazy? What lazy? Who does all the chore in the house all this time? *sigh* " Mom it's true. Listen to me first" I then start to tell mom how the thing's goes. The more she listen, the more I notice that her expression is trembling, as if holding back her laugh? After I finish, I just stare at her waiting for us to go report to the police.

But I didn't expect her first reaction was….

"Pfft" she start laughing " Hahahaha, Bella are you really alright dear? There no way someone that break-in to house will just do nothing to you if you really shot him aren't you just mistake a dream and a reality? Hahaha" she laugh again.

"B-But"

"Okay Okay, that's enough drama for now. Come on, help me pick up the grocery I buy yesterday." She get up and head out side the room.

Alone in the room, I start to process what mom just said. True, if it was any intruder they will not hesitate to flee or bound me or any other horrible thing. I start to touch my head, sting. The pain is still there so it's mean that it was real

"Hmph, whoever you are. I Bella Swan will bring you to JUSTICE" hmph. I then get out to help mom.

Somewhere else near Bella house

"Fuh, luckily the book didn't lie. Otherwise I will just have to runway" Alex said while wiping the 'sweat' from his forehead. He other hand is holding a book with a title " Master of lying and Distraction 101".

" I Guess it's time to settle down. Maybe in the countryside? Hmmmm, maybe I can built a house there near the forest or something. Didn't need to pay any tax or bill, as long as I didn't get caught that is." Alex said as he stretch his arm and leg. He felt quite refresh after so long didn't have any shower.

He open up his phone and search for 'a peaceful place to live in' and it show to many result. So he narrow down the search, since he is going to Washington anyway to settle some deal he just type 'a peaceful place to live in Washington'.

".. Fork huh?" he put the phone back in his pocket " I hope there no vampire there, or if there is I hope it didn't bother me" with that Alex disappear from there, heading toward the airport
