Spider Van

John left the skill booth and walked towards other booths. He saw them selling tier 1 weapons and Armour. Most of the weapons and armor were made from monster materials except for enchantment which required crystal cores. As for iron and other alloys, they were used sparingly as they had become very precious ores after being mutated. So it was hard to find those ores and also mine them.

" Sir do you want to buy any armor or weapons?".

The shopkeeper asked John with a smile.

John asked," What is the price of the armor?".

The shopkeeper replied," The Armor depends on the quality you want. Tier 1 costs 10 and if it's enchanted then it will cost 300000. For tier 2 it will cost 1 million, and enchanted 3 million".

John looked at the armor and asked," How good is the defense of the armor?".

The shopkeeper replied immediately with a smile," Sir the tier 1 armor can easily block attacks of tier 1 and below. As for tier 2 attacks, it might not be able to handle tier 2 armor".

John thought for a while and then he said," I will think about it".

Saying so he left the place and the shopkeeper immediately cursed in a low tone," F*ck poor thrash".

John didn't bother to argue with the shopkeeper, instead, he went to the next booth and it was Rune's shop. He could see several scrolls were placed inside the shop. But he saw the price of any scroll started from a million coins he was stunned.

He wanted to leave this place as he felt that he didn't have enough money to buy them. He wanted to try to buy some pill recipes and herbs also.

So he left the booth and soon came to the place where herbs were being sold.

He saw the receptionist was a young girl. She had a beautiful face and was wearing beautiful red clothes. He just glanced at her and then asked in a calm tone," Do you sell pill recipes?".

The receptionist looked at the boy in front of her with a surprised expression on her face. As she felt this boy had dressed so poorly how could he come to the second floor? But on second thought the guards would do their job so just replied," Of course we have. But all of them are tier 0 do you need to buy them?"

John shook his head and asked," Is there any tier 1 recipe?".

The receptionist shook her head and she replied," Nope sir. Pill recipes are strictly controlled by the Alchemists Association. But some of them are Auctioned off in rare cases only".

John was surprised to hear it and then he asked," When will the Auction begin?".

The receptionist immediately laughed and said," Do you think anyone can enter the third floor. You need at least 10 million Federation coins to enter the third floor".

John just smiled and he left the place. He walked towards another booth and bought a tier 2 armor that was enchanted with a Swift rune. The Swift rune could be used only once a day and it could only be used three times. After using this rune the speed will be doubled for ten seconds.

John then left the Auction house and soon came to the Caravan. Due to the monsters present outside the city, the trains couldn't be used as they required huge manpower and it was not possible.  Not to mention the tracks needed maintenance and sometimes they were even destroyed when monsters fought with each other.

So the train had been replaced with a Caravan which was powered with monster cores and could easily reach 40 kilometres per hour. The Caravan in this world was designed in a huge spider shape that could carry at least 50 people in one spider van.

The spider van could be used in any terrain, even if it could float on water.

John looked at a huge spider that was the size of a bus. He immediately walked toward the counter and bought a ticket for 10000 Federation coins the ticket was for Blood Ivy City which would take almost 15 hours to travel if you didn't encounter any monster or else time might even be extended.

Not only that he also got a small GPS live map which could be used to bring him to the nearest human settlements in case of emergency. Like in rare cases some monster would attack the caravan and in case of emergency, the passenger could either choose to stay or leave the caravan at that time.

Of course, there were also tier 2 teams who were responsible for escorting people. That's why most people would use Spider vans to travel from one place to another.

John looked at the details and found that it would depart the next day at 7 AM.

So he decided to return home and relax himself. After that, he would come out to get his weapons from the Blacksmith shop.

Three hours later.

It had already turned dark.

John closed the door and left the house once again. He could hear the people's voices coming from all over the place. The streets were brightly lit and the vendors were selling vegetables, meats, etc.

He left the place and soon came to the Blacksmith shop he found the young shopkeeper was looking around for someone and when he saw his figure a smile bloomed on his face.

" Master Alchemist, you are finally here".

John nodded his head and asked," Have you completed the work?".

The young shopkeeper immediately took out two box opened them one by one.

John was immediately attracted by the slingshot. The body size was 15 centimetres and it perfectly fitted his hand. Then he began to pull the catapult and found that it was made from very soft materials which made his grip easier. He also found that the rubber band was made from very strong material and he pulled them and found that even with his full strength it was only half pulled. Seeing this his eyes lit up.

He then released the catapult to only see a flash and the empty box in front of him fell down.
