Rose and Jeff

"A child?" The old man was surprised at what his wife said and rushed to look. "By the gods. It really is a child. What is he doing over here?"

"I don't know but I am damn sure we shouldn't leave him here. Let's bring him over to our house and then let's see what we will do after we help this poor child."

The old man nodded and picked up the boy on his back and carried him.

After arriving at their house, the old man laid down the boy on his bed.

"What now?" The old man questioned.

"Now... we'll take care of this boy until he wakes up and then we will see why he was at the place where we found him."

But they didn't know, it would be a year until he woke up.

"—then the dragon said to the boy, 'The people and all races in the world thank you for your service in saving them, Hero.'" The woman was reading a book to the boy sleeping peacefully on the bed.

Twitch —

The boy's eyelids slowly opened and saw his surroundings. "Huh?"

The old woman's ears perked and looked at the boy. Then she saw the boy's eyes open and shift around.

"You are awake!"

Unfortunately, the first thing the boy hears after waking up is a scream.

"Ugh." the boy grabbed his head as if he was suffering a huge headache.

"Oh." The old woman's voice immediately quieted down. "You are finally awake."

"Finally awake?" The boy wondered.

'This doesn't look like a hospital.'

"Yes. We... um, found you at the end of the river unconscious. So, we brought here to take care of you," She paused for a second then continued. "It's been a year since then."

The boy feeling a bit out of it just said slowly, "Unconscious... at the... end... of the... river. For... a... year?"

"Um, where am I?" the boy asked.

"Oh. You are at my house." The woman said.

"Where is your house?"

'Where am I? Did I get kidnapped or something? Doesn't seem like it but I don't exactly know what to think right now.'

"We are on the outskirts of the Colifin Empire."

'Empire? Colifin Empire?' The boy's thoughts were put on hold by the woman's voice.

"Are you okay?"

The boy looked at the old woman and nodded, "Who are you?" He asked.

"Oh." She chuckled, "I forgot to introduce myself. I am Rose." She introduced herself with a friendly and gentle smile. Something he hasn't seen directed at him in a long time which got him a bit stunted.

"Do you remember how you got to the river?" She questioned.

"No," I answered.

"What about family? Do you have any family?"

"... I am an orphan"

She was not really surprised as she and her husband went looking around a couple of months back to see if anyone lost their child but still showed a sad smile at the boy since he has no family.

"Ugh, the people are crazy these days. The Zephyr Empire is still fighting against the Kabain Empire, and the Zephyr Empire is also dealing with its many rebellions. They really are str—" The old man then saw that the boy was awake, and his eyes opened wide.

"—ong"

"You are awake!"

"Don't yell, you old fool!" Rose screamed.

"You are yelling too!" The old man yelled back.

"—op yelling."

""Huh?"" The couple ceased their yelling and looked back at the boy.

The boy sighed, "Please stop yelling. My head hurts."

The woman's eyes turned sharp and looked at her husband in anger.

The husband just sighed and kept his eyes on the boy.

Rose just sighed and introduced her husband, "This fool's name is Jeff."

Jeff smiled and just sat down on the chair next to the bed. "It is nice to finally meet you."

"Hmm." The boy nodded. "I heard from Rose that you guys took care of me for a year. Thank you."

Jeff just waved his hand, "Don't worry. It was nice to take care of someone other than ourselves in a long time." He gave off a sad smile as he reminisced his memories.

Rose also gave a sad smile as if she knew exactly what Jeff was thinking about.

While the old people were having their sad thoughts, the boy was having thoughts of his own.

'When Jeff walked in, he said something about the Zephyr Empire and Kabain Empire.' Sirius added all the facts in his head and it all came together, 'The Colifin Empire in the north, the Zephyr Empire in the west, and the Kabain Empire in the south.'

"Shit." A rare curse came out of the boy's mouth.

'There is also another empire called the Qilin Empire that is located in the east though they weren't really in the story much.

"Hey!" Rose exclaimed and Jeff just shook his head however the boy paid them no mind.

'I'm in deep shit right now. I am in the world of the fanfiction I just read some time ago.' Another realization appears in the boy's head, 'Ha. That means I am in a different world, and I really died. and even worse... I am in the buffed version of Akame Ga Kill!'

The boy didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

"So, we are in the Colifin Empire?" the boy asked.

"Yes." Rose nodded.

'That's good. The Colifin Empire is one of the more peaceful empires. For now anyways.'

"Anyways, do you know your name child?" Rose asked.

Thinking that he didn't want to change his identity and the name his mother has given him, he gave his name from his past life. "Sirius."

"Sirius... that is a nice name. A very manly name. Like mine, maybe a little bit less but still manly." Jeff said.

Rose and I just gave Jeff a weird look to which Jeff just proudly stuck out his chest.

"So, what are you going to do now Sirius?" Rose asked.

"I don't know yet. I can't really move my body that much." Sirius responded with a chuckle.

Everyone laughed. Including the readers.

"I will go make some soup." Rose got up and left to make some of the best soup to exist.

"Hey, Sirius," Jeff said softly.

I looked at him and wondered what he was going to say.

He looked at me curiously and asked, "So what is the story with you and the tattoo?"

'Tattoo?'
