50,000 years ago, Hell was destroyed because of too much Foul from the resentment of the souls that later turned to Soul Eaters and devoured everything in their wake, leaving nothing of Hell. The gods above in Heaven, in order to take care of the newly-died souls, created the Afterlife Department comprised of grim reapers. Huo Ling was delivering food that day when he met Yi Bing and the guy gave him a warning. When he arrived to the customer's unit, he was killed. Huo Ling: you set up a death flag for me! The door was suddenly opened and two women appeared, with one of them following behind the other.
"I am sorry I was late." Lili spoke as she sat beside Gu Lin. Then, she removed her sunglasses off her face before she looked at Yi Bing, Huo Ling, and the others sitting across her.
Lili's assistant was surprised to find a group of 'people' inside the room, especially that they are all men! "Li – Lili-jie…" she timidly called, feeling worried that if someone was going to sneakily snap a picture of this scene, their company's PR department would fight an intense battle again on the internet. They actually just had escaped from those paparazzi tailing them!
Lili turned to her. "They are my relatives." She explained, assuring her assistant. Well, technically, the grim reapers are all relatives. And their factions – the Afterlife Department and Deserters, are just two different families.
