Chapter 26 He Is Not Her Biological Brother
Her heart sank as if it had sunk to the bottom of the cold ocean.
She had never expected that Stephen, who she had called "brother" for twenty years, was not her biological brother.
Zayla felt a buzzing in her ears. She had no time to think about it and dragged Stephen out.
"Zayla?"
When they reached the yard, Stephen grabbed Zayla's wrist with a backhand!
Stephen held Zayla's cold wrist with his warm hand and frowned with concern.
"I knew it nine years ago."
Zayla trembled and turned to look at Stephen. Looking at his doting eyes, she did not know what to do.
"Stephen..."
Stephen said casually, "I was abandoned by my biological parents when I was born. Your parents adopted me out of kindness. I was afraid that you would think too much. I was afraid that you wouldn't recognize me as your brother. I was afraid that you would cry like this today, so I kept it from you. I didn't tell you."
