"You did this," I growled to my feet. "You made me kill him."
"You killed my son and somehow I am to blame for this? You must be pathetic."
"Silence!" I snapped ready to chew him alive. "Not… another… word."
He raised his hands in defeat taking two steps back to avoid me from getting to him.
"Reya calm down," Aaron floated between the Xaj and I.
"Why have you not taken him out?" I asked. "Why is he still alive?"
"Well," the mage scratched the back of his head nervously. "He apologized and turned a new leaf."
"Is that right?" I scoffed, turning to see the Xaj grinning. "And that was reason enough to scrap his name out of your book?"
"Yeah. He has changed."
"What about his son I just beheaded?!"
"He was evil…"
"He was ready to drop his arms and surrender before that monster over there triggered something within him."
"I'm done listening to this. Do you know how crazy that sounds?"
