Chapter 20: Elements

"hmm, okay but I say this first, even though mages is powerful but there numbers are small, people that has an aptitude for magic is rare, it is estimated that in every 10,000 people 1 person will has a qualification." Lyr said and in a watchful eyes of Coulson Lyr took out a strange looking crystal out of thin air.

The crystal in Lyr hand is the item that Senior mages use to know if a person has a talent for magic and what element is suitable for him, Lyr also use this item to himself and coincidentally he has an aptitude for ice element.

seeing Coulson questioning look.

Lyr explain"this crystal is the item that'll tell whether you have talent for magic and what element is suitable for you"

"What element?" Coulson ask.

"Mages were also tested on what element they suitable with as it will greatly help for their future training, there are four main element water, fire, wind, and earth, there are also the sub elements which is rare even for mages lightning, Ice, Magma, wood"Lyr explain and continue."training in a suitable element is a great help for Mages, for example if you have an affinity for element of fire the fire spell you release will be stronger and a lot easier to perform."

Hearing this Coulson immediately ask" So what element do you have?"

"Mine is the rare element of Ice"Lyr said and perform a simple freeze spell that froze the coffee on the table.

when Coulson saw this he began to think hard and suddenly ask"if you have an Ice element then who's fire shows in the tape?" as a Professional agent he clearly observe the situation carefully.

"oh that" Lyr said and look at Ellie who is doing something on the cashier area.

Seeing Lyr look at the direction of the beautiful girl Coulson also look and as smart as he is he clearly understand what Lyr means.

"she did that" Coulson unconciously blurted the word."She's a mage too?"

"you can say that"Lyr said but did not explain.

"so as I saying mages are rare only few gifted people can become a mage so pray for you luck"Lyr said and continue"Usually people who has an aptitude in magic are those who have thirst for knowledge and from my observation to you, you have no qualification at all."

hearing this Coulson lose some of his hope "but I still want to try" Coulson said.

"okay then"Lyr reply and make the crystal in his hand float in the Middle of the table.

seeing this Coulson ask " what would I do?"

"jus put your hand on the crystal, and of the crystal lit up it states that you have an aptitude for magic and there are also different color that corresponds to what your element is red states that you have fire affinity, blue for water, green for wind and brown for earth" Lyr answer Coulson question and explain oh how the crystal works.

"okay" *huu* Coulson reply and took a deep breath praying in his heart before extending his hand towards the crystal ball.
