CHAPTER FOURTEEN

DANIEL COLE

I haven't set my eyes on my mate since I got to school. We just made up and all yesterday.

I really want to see her cos things are different now. Anyways,there is still lunch break. Adrianna and I barely have classes together but that didn't hinder me from placing Keith and Danny to watch over her.

Well,yes. Only werewolves stay in Oak Creek but the thing is,we are not all from the same pack. There are five packs in all that live in Oak Creek but then Clear water pack is the superior pack so naturally,we would have a lot of enemies. Hence,the need to protect my mate.

So far so good,school is going smoothly for me. I have just one more class before lunch,then I get to grab my mate and kiss her senseless when I finally see her. I have P.E tho, I love it cos of the adrenaline that comes with it . I change to my gym clothes then we head to the field .I take off my shirt when we start stretching and that is when I sense something strong .I feel my mate watching me,I immediately stare up at the buildings then I see my beautiful mate checking me out in all my glory.

Damn!,these six packs only feel good when your girl starts ogling you. I send a smirk in her direction and she blushes knowing I caught her checking me out.

The male teacher barks orders at us to run laps,so we get to it. After running the first lap,I look up to stare at the window where my mate is sitting and she isn't there anymore. Panic surges through me. Calm down Daniel,she probably went to pee or something. Oh screw that shit!.I can't calm down,not until I see my mate. She is my oxygen,it's like I'm totally suffocated and it's really hard to breathe when she isn't with me. I immediately mind link Danny.

Hey,I told you to watch Adrianna didn't I?!.

Yes...I was with her at her last class but then it's Keith's turn.

Well,she is freaking missing!.I'm seriously going to break your bones this time!.

They are so incompetent. They never do anything right!.

Wait, I just mind linked Keith. Kate's best friend is in town so he went with her to Tarzan's Place to get her. They are going to the pack house from there.

At least I know she is safe. I was about to lose my mind thinking the worst. And she did tell me last night her best friend was coming today.

Okay,I'm will be there.

And with that response,I shut off the mind link as I keep running laps.

Okay,so recap people. Kate is Keith's mate.

I don't know if I should be happy or sad at the news but then that's not even the most important thing right now.

"Don't you freaking touch me!",Kate yells at Keith who desperately wants to talk to her . Yes people,the important issue is getting them to quit bickering and truthfully, Keith really sucks at this whole mate thing.

"Just shut up and listen to me!",he yells back at her as Kate gasps. One minute they are staring into each other's eyes like nothing else in the world matters except them. Now they are just completely impossible .I groan and take a sit at the booth Kate is at.

"Wherever did you get this imbecile from bestie?!. He obviously lacks proper manners!",she retorts as he glares at her. "Well,I wouldn't be this harsh if you would just listen".

"I'm not deaf okay?.You just said mate .I do watch movies and I read books. I know what that word means".

"That saves me the hassle then. I really hate giving explanations",he states matter of factly as he folds his hand on his chest.

"Well,I for one am not your mate okay?!",she yells as Keith growls in rage at her words.

Okay this is getting out of control.

"Both of you shut up!",I yell as they both stare at me in shock.

"Were the two of you even listening to yourselves?.You are causing quite a scene",I say as they both stare at the customers in the Diner all staring at us. Kate's face turns bright red when she realized this and she sits down with a sigh next to me. Keith scowls as he takes a seat opposite Kate and I.

I take a deep breath as I notice the atmosphere is less tense now.

"You guys really need to calm down",I say as Kate shrugs.

"Tell that to him. He is the one going all berserker on me",she says as he glares at her. His green eyes shooting daggers at Kate.

I have a lot of questions. I really am so confused. But these questions can't be answered here though.

"You both need to talk but not here. We need to get to the pack house. It's getting late",I say as my best friend stares at me like I just spoke magic words.

"Park house?!.Babe,you are literally living in one of my werewolf books I read!",she screams with a grin as I chuckle and Keith snorts causing Kate to hiss at him.

Oh God!.

"Well then let's get going",I say with a smile. We all get up to leave as Kate struggles with her heavy suitcase.

"Just how long are you planning on staying?",I ask with a raised eyebrow.

"Few weeks?",she says with a wink as I roll my eyes. Keith snorts again and walks over to Kate,swiftly carrying her luggage in one hand and starts walking towards the door. I think this is the sweetest gesture I have seen Keith do since I moved here.

"Well that's the least you can do after acting like a jerk"!,Kate calls after him as I sigh.

Lord please just help me arrive at the pack house safely.

"You are crazy",I say to her as she laughs."He is hot though",she says with a wink as I stare at her in shock. She laughs some more as she drags me out of the diner in my shocked state.
