Figured it out

Alice took me by the hands as though she were praying, her body sparkled in the radiance of the crimson sky reflecting the void against the halo. Her body evaporates, turning into a large red-orange saber in my hand. 

I swing out gripping her carefully, she trusts me enough to allow me to utilize her. I became nervous thrusting out at Shaan, I was already feeling sick dodging his claws, missing opportunities to sway the blade at him. 

"What are you doing?" Alice argues. 

Holding my face the motions are affecting me, Shaaan's features contorted in anger as I hobble around. Letting the sunset sword hit the ground bowing forward disoriented. 

CRACK 

"You really are an idiot!" The nurse yells. 

The nurse is holding a rifle, her bullet doesn't catch failing to hit Shaan, she cocks it readying her finger on the trigger. 

"Pick me back up!" Alice chides.
