All Might went silent and turned to look at the tired face cop.
It was apparent to anyone that there is a reason both of them are particularly interested in this story. Especially to Sora who had developed ultra-sensitive senses. He could feel All Might's anger, pain and worry. Not to mention that All Might had been appearing paler as time went on, his breathing was turning labored, and it seemed to be costing him a lot to simply breathe.
Narrowing his eyes, Sora figured that there is much more to All Might than he expected.
But then again, Sora didn't care.
All he wants is a fight with him.
"This will do. Alright… we have both kept our side of the deal. Report to the police once a day in the morning and where you will be going," the tired-faced cop looked at All Might and noticed the difference in his friend before turning to Sora.
Hearing the man, Sora simply nodded.
"Alright. All Might and I have somewhere to be, so we will not be able to offer you a ride home," the cop mentioned as he and All Might stood up together.
Sora sipped from his coffee, watching them leave under the intense gazes and photo taking of All Might's fans.
Quietly, Sora left as well after finishing his coffee. With a smile, he took a calm stroll as he went on home. Running past city after city, Sora felt the wind on his face as his clothes rustled in the air.
By the time it was night, Sora had finally arrived at his city and outside his family's house. He stood outside and looked at it, but he didn't go in immediately. Instead, he held back and went to the backyard before entering the shed.
He went down to his underground base to check up on Eve and the kid she had saved.
Entering the base, Sora found a beautiful silver haired woman covered in flour and dough. Her face had small pieces of dough stuck to it but that didn't affect her beauty at all. Instead, the apron she was wearing, and her dirty appearance seemed to give her a clumsy girl beauty.
Next to her, is a small girl in a similar state to her, her little horn carried small amounts of dough as well. She looked adorable in her little apron as she tried to knead a small amount of dough in her little hands.
As Sora stepped out of the elevator, Eve's sensitive hearing heard something, and she turned her gaze vigilantly. Her eyes widened when she noticed Sora and they softened as her eyes moistened a little.
"Master!"
Eve jumped up seeing Sora and ran at him, launching herself into his arms. Compared to Akira and Toga, Eve couldn't go visit Sora at all and had spent all these months anxiously waiting for Sora.
She had spent an entire year alone with Eri. although some robots Sora had built had Artificial Intelligence, Eve just didn't feel as satisfied talking with them than with Sora.
"I've missed you!"
Sora raised his eyebrows as he felt Eve's soft embrace. He returned the hug and smiled as Eve had finally begun to embrace her new feelings more and more.
"Yes… I can tell," Sora said with a chuckle.
When Eve realized what Sora meant, she blushed and tried to remove herself from him. But she couldn't move an inch as Sora simply allowed her to hug him.
"Hugs aren't bad. Enjoy them as much as you want," Sora whispered to her.
Eve stood stunned and she returned the hug with a smile. She nodded her head, a small light in her eyes.
"Mm."
Still at the table with a ball of dough in her little hands, Eri turned to look at the new face in the underground base. She recalled how Eve had called him and pressed her two little lips together as she grabbed at the hems of her apron.
Lowering her head, her red eyes looked at her little feet.
Climbing down the stool she was on, Eri's eyes moved from the floor to Sora's face as she walked to him. She was nervous and felt a little frightened by what she was planning to say. Afraid that the she will say something that will make Sora mad, Eri's eyes began to tear up.
"We-welcome back… papa…"
!!!
Sora felt his body tense up.
Years of memory he thought wouldn't resurface came to mind in that instant. Memories of his past life's children, how they would swarm around him and shower him with their love.
His gaze softened as he turned to the little girl behind Eve and chuckled. Sensing Sora's intentions, Eve let go of Sora and stood to the side to watch.
"Hey… who told you to call me that, little cutie?" Sora asked Eri, his voice soft and gentle.
Tightening her grip on her apron, Eri grew nervous at Sora's words. The tears in her eyes grew larger and her little cheeks flushed. She brought her gaze up from the floor and looked at him.
"My mommy…" She spoke softly.
"Your mommy?" Sora smiled and turned to look at Eve, who nodded at Sora's questioning look with a face as red as a tomato.
"I see…"
Chuckling, Sora grabbed Eri and lifted her up into the air. The little girl panicked a little but soon calmed down as Sora didn't do anything more. She felt his hands on her sides were being gentle as they hoisted her up. Eri looked at Sora and felt his gentle gaze on her.
Biting her lips, Eri yelled once more. "Papa!"
"Hahaha!" Sora chuckled and brought little Eri in for a hug. "How's my little girl?"
Sora couldn't help but accept the girl as his daughter. He caressed her little back and let her hug him as tightly as she wanted. A little smile broke on her face and her tears had long disappeared.
"Okay… let's- "
Suddenly, whilst Sora was hugging Eri, he felt a change in her. Her horn lit up and he began to feel a strange energy surge into him. His eyes widened and he felt his senses warming him about something.
Eri had grown so happy in this little moment. Her emotions grew strong, and her happiness surged everywhere. Her emotions were intense, and her quirk was affected by it. It was such a dangerous thing to anyone who knew what her quirk is.
Rewind
The ability to put something into a previous state, including before birth.
With a pale face, Eve tried reacting to it when she realized what had happened.
At that moment, Sora's senses surged and warned him of danger. Something imperceptible moved within his body. It surged from deep within his body and combatted Eri's energy and expelled it out of his body.
The instant he was safe, Sora quickly, but gently, set Eri down on the floor. His face was still a little worried about what would have happened, but he was now more curious about what had happened to him. That thing he felt within his body was all too familiar to him.
It was the same mysterious force that always got summoned when he trained in the Great Body Forging Technique.
But Sora didn't think about that right now.
Stopping in her tracks, Eve looked at Sora with a stunned expression. She couldn't wrap her head around what had just happened. No matter how she thought about it, Sora could have returned to being a child, or a baby, but none of that happened. It relieved her to say the least, but it made her curious as well.
'How did he do it?' Eve questioned herself.
She had seen Eri continuously turn little ants that appeared in the underground base into larvae when she played with them. There were a couple of times when there wouldn't be a larva, and it would completely disappear. It worried Eve, so she never directly touched Eri and would always be from afar.
At times, she would instead have the robots help her with Eri
Turning to Eri, who appeared to realize what had almost occurred, Sora sighed softly. She appeared scared, but Sora gently placed a hand on her little head and ruffled her hair until it was a mess, and she calmed down.
"It's okay. Nothing happened." Sora consoled her. "Wait for me here. I know just the thing for you."
Sora smiled and walked over to the Molecular Structure Rearrangement Device. He created a couple of items and then walked over to his personal computer where he wrote up a quick little program.
Minutes later, Sora returned to a curious little Eri before handing her two things. A cute little necklace and a sleeping mask.
"These are for you. They're my little gifts for you," Sora smiled before placing the cute necklace around Eri's neck. The necklace's pendant was a small locket where inside held a picture of Sora and Eve.
"Wow…"
Eve let out a breath of awe.
"Mm. And this little mask will help you sleep very well, and you will look so adorable in it," Sora said as he handed the sleeping mask to Eri in her little hands. She grasped the mask and caressed it gently, feeling how soft it was and how comfortable it felt in her hands.
The little mask is light gray in color, combing slightly with her hair. It has a cute little design on it that Eri liked a lot in an instant. On the front of the mask's face, a little doodle of Sora, Eve and she, huddled around together like a happy family. On top of them, was a big red heart with the word family over it.
Clutching it tight to her chest, Eri smiled, and her little cheeks turned rosy.
"Thank you, Papa!"
Eri's excitement got the best of her, and she jumped at Sora, hugging him tightly. Even with her strong emotions right now, Eri's quirk didn't activate.
"Haha, my cute little girl," Sora said with a chuckle before sending Eri off to finish kneading her dough.
As he looked at her knead the dough, Eve approached him from the side and looked at him warily. She bit her lips and opened her mouth.
"What did you gift her?" Curiosity filled Eve.
"An Inhibitor. It will stop her quick from activating," Sora said as he turned to look at Eve. "It's harmless and doesn't have any side effects. As long as the inhibitor doesn't stay on for more than five years, it won't leave any damage."
Like a muscle, Quirks need to be used every now and then or they will 'atrophy' and become useless. They will struggle to answer the summons of their holders and sometimes completely disappear.
It's a rare case when a Quirk user suddenly loses their quirk. The opposite is also true, sometimes pushing a quirk beyond it's limit can break it and may be extremely difficult to recuperate. This case has hardly happened, but Sora is sure it has happened already before.
It only wasn't recorded.
"As for the mask… it's to help her train her quirk," Sora muttered as he turned to look back at Eri. "Now you can hug her as much as you want."
Eve felt her heart shudder at Sora's words. She looked at Sora with wide eyes before realizing what it meant.
For many months, she had been feeling terrible. She had accepted the little girl as her daughter, but she couldn't shower her with hugs and kisses as a mother should. All her motherly love could only be locked inside her silver heart.
Hope lit up inside her and smiled brightly as she jogged over excitedly to Eri and gave her a surprise hug. She hugged her as tightly and gently as she could.
"Hahaha!" Eri giggled at Eve's hug, enjoying it very much. She was a little surprised by the sudden hug but loved it very much.
Turning her little head around, Eri looked at Eve and Sora who stood behind them and smiled as brightly as she possibly could.
"I love you, mommy! I love you, Papa!"
