Chapter 31

-

It was 5:00 a.m. It was time for the soon to be couples to wake up. The alarm rang, as it woke them both up.

"Where am I?" Xaviera asked herself. She could feel her head on someone's chest; in between wide arms.

She cursed Sandro under her breath, as she tried to leave his grasp.

"How did I get here?" She asked herself.

Still, Sandro pushed her head tightly on his chest. It seemed as if he was doing it on purpose, but, he was actually asleep.

"Sandro!" Xaviera whispered, trying to get herself out of his grasp.

She couldn't take her head from his chest, he was too strong.

"I should bite him." She told herself, and she did it. She bit his chest through his shirt. Sandro got up immediately, as he caressed his chest, and let go off Xaviera.

"Why did you do that?" He yelled at her. She chewed her fingers in fear. She didnt think before doing it; and it could cause Alessandro to talk for years.

"Sorry, I didn't know how to get my body away from yours, so I did it. I'm sorry." She said.

He hissed under his breath as he rubbed his hand on the area Xaviera bit.

"I would tell you nothing for now, but I swear. Read my lips, I SWEAR, I'd pay you back. Just make sure you don't cross me next time." Sandro cursed.

"I said I'm sorry. Wait, how did I get here? Did you bring me here?" She asked him.

"Yes. And I didn't want to. But you fell off the couch, and you laid there stupidly."

"Then why did you bring me here? You could have ignored me. You don't care about me, do you?" Xaviera asked, with her gaze on the floor; not making any eye contact.

"Oh, I get you now. It's now a crime to be nice, huh? You'd continue to sleep on that couch, and you'd continue to roll off, and I'd continue to leave you to lay there. It's you who's gonna fall sick. Why am I even wasting my time here? I need to prepare for work." Sandro scoffed, as he left for the bathroom.

"Sandro?" Xaviera called his name. He stopped, with his back facing her, as he said, "What again?"

Xaviera didn't know how to say what she was about to say. But she needed to remind him that today was their wedding day.

"Today is Sunday." She mumbled.

"So? Sunday comes every week, so why are you telling me it's Sunday? Do you want to go to the church to praise God? You can go, but count me out, because I'm not taking you there." Sandro said and walked to the bathroom.

'He managed to forget that today is his wedding. I even have to remind him. What an irresponsible man.' Xaviera mumbled to herself.

She walked into the closet, to look for Sandro and remind him. As she entered, she saw him almost naked in the closet. He had only a towel wrapped around his waist, and he was just heading to the bathroom to have his bathe.

Xaviera quickly pinned her gaze on the floor, as she said, "Ales,"

Sandro turned as he glared at her, at what she just blurted out.

"And who told you I'd accept that name from you? My name is Alessandro, or Sandro. Don't ever call me Ales, because nobody does." Sandro sneered.

"But I can be the first to call you that. I like 'Ales' and that's what I'm going to be calling you from today." Xaviera mumbled, with her gaze still pinned on the floor.

"I have warned you. Call me by that name and see what I'd do to you. Now what did you come to tell me?" Sandro asked.

"Ales, today is our wedding. You and I. How could you even forget about it?" Sandro squeaked in anger.

"Today is Sunday?" Sandro asked her.

"Yes, that was what I told you before. And you ignored me. Ales, today is Sunday, a sabbath and holy day. And the biggest of all, our wedding day!" Xaviera exclaimed, as she raised her head to look at him.

"Okay. I have heard. What do you want me to do now? I didn't remember because it means nothing to me. And one last time, don't call me Ales! Period!" He said and stormed into the bathroom.

'I'd continue to call you that name till we die; together.' Xaviera mumbled as she went to the bedroom.
