A World of Reincarnators

Mizuki was an otherworldly beauty in her first world. Born as an albino, having the best grades in class while taking interest in technological advancement and music in her free time. Her parents who had died a year after her birth left her a large inheritance. Her aunt has tried to kill her for her money ever since it was decided that all the inheritance would go to her. 'Human greed is a vile thing.' Mizuki was not stupid by any means. The moment she realized her life was being targeted she left to live alone. The inheritance would let her live nicely until the age of 40 at the least but she was not content with that and started to do work in the stock market. Mizuki was now living in a moderately sized apartment near her school. She had multiple bodyguards that were receiving quite the large salary so she was not afraid of losing her life before even getting married.... But.. "Human greed really is a vile thing. Is it not?" Now in another world where power decides everything human greed is not the biggest problem she will face. But bare in mind reader. Reincarnation is not that uncommon. (art ain't mine)

Seventh Day, Tier Up

Getting pulled by her hand inside the house by Empathy, Mitsuna was placed on a chair.

Natash followed them inside and sat quietly, listening.

"So. How did you do that?" Empathy asked as she sat on her bed, cross-legged.

"Well. I changed the way I breathe and how mana flows in my body."

"What."

"Well. I changed the way I breathe and how mana flows in my body."

"What? How?"

"Well. I-"

"Shut it. Just tell me how."

"I don't know. Instinct? I concentrated and wanted it to happen, so I found a way to make it happen."

"If it were that easy then everyone in the world would be as strong as Demi-gods."

Empathy looked at Mitsuna while resting her chin on her hand.

"Did you get any skills?"

"Haven't checked."

"Well..."

"Already looking."

"Interesting indeed."

Empathy muttered.

"Well, you both completed the task so go take a bath."

Watching both students run towards the nearest lake, Empathy sat down and tried breathing.

'Maybe with this... I can finally break past that last barrier...'

...

The next morning, Mitsuna felt refreshed as she woke up Natash with a light push.

"Mmm. I'm up."

"Let's get to it."

"Mhm, yes."

Putting on their clothes, they exited their room only to see their teacher already eating.

"You took too long." Empathy said as she finished her sandwich.

"Today you'll be learning Techniques so go out and get something that will fill your stomachs."

Mitsuna and Natash didn't answer as they excitedly left the house.

"Let's get a boar!"

"Rabbit is faster to get, yes!"

Coming back home within 8 minutes, Mitsuna skinned the rabbit and got to cooking.

After their sandwiches were devoured, they exited the house and eagerly waited. For an hour.

Their teacher had been gone for a while.

After another half an hour of waiting, their teacher flew down with a crystal in hand.

"These things are rare so line up. I'll measure your affinities."

Natash made it first.

She touched the crystal and it shone in different colours.

The first was dark and within shone yellow, light orange, pink and red.

The second was dark yet again that was slowly enveloping an orb of orange covered by a dark cyan.

The third one was of what seemed to be a purple and violet galaxy.

After that, the crystal refused to show any more colours.

"Okay, remove your hand." Empathy said.

Following her teacher's order, Natash removed her hand and was shocked by a small white lightning bolt that came from the crystal.

"You got Dawn, Dusk and Twilight, those are all pretty rare."

Empathy said as she looked at Natash who had sparkling eyes.

"B, your next."

Mitsuna waddled closer and placed her hand on the crystal.

'Please be good.'

She hoped with closed eyes, before slowly opening them.

Seeing the crystal be pure black and not showing many changes, Empathy furrowed her brows as Mitsuna was about to cry.

Suddenly the edges turned to a shining gold.

"Oh, Eclipse." Empathy muttered as the crystal changed again.

Mitsuna had a smile on her face as the tears disappeared.

The second colour to shine was pure silver with no impurities.

"Lunar." Empathy said.

And then it was a shining gold with not a hint of anything else.

"Solar."

Afterwards, it turned into a calm, slightly moving cyan.

"Hydro.."

Then a familiar galaxy which this time was extremely dark with only dots of white and violet shining.

"Twilight..."

And finally, the last colour that shone was dark.

"Hmm."

The dark slowly parted as it gave way to pure white, light orange and pink.

"Dawn...?"

The crystal then refused to shine anymore.

Mitsuna took her hand off the crystal and received a small shock the same as Natash only slightly brighter.

Colours filled her mind and soon after dissipated as it felt like a dream.

"You have some good potential, B. Besides the last one which seemed a little odd, I can firmly say that you can go far with the sword and the Techniques you can use."

Turning towards the catgirl, Empathy said.

"You too Nat."

"Nat?"

"Nat."

"Nat, yes..."

"Now get to training."

"What kind?" Mitsuna asked.

"The Style kind. You know what Techniques you have access to so now it's time to find your Style."

"How do we do that?"

"Spar. Oh and B."

"Yes?"

"Let's get you to Tier up."

"Okay."

Mitsuna followed her teacher inside as Natash started swinging her sword with a light smile.

...

"So what class do you want to be?"

"What are my options?"

"I don't know. Check."

"..."

"Just tap on the Class tab. You should have actually picked your class from level 1 but it doesn't make much difference."

Listening to her teacher, Mitsuna pressed on the class tab.

Sword Saint (Apprentice)]

"Which do I pick?"

"What do you have?"

"A lot of normal classes and rare classes and a few specials."

"Special? What are they?"

"Mixed Blood, Calamity, Saint Apprentice and Sword Saint Apprentice."

"You have the potential to become one of the sword saints?"

"I don't know."

"Or even a saint..."

"Okay."

"You are way too calm for this."

"I don't know what's happening," Mitsuna said with a cheerful smile.

"Right. Well, classes have a few ranks. Common, Rare and Special. Common classes are easily obtainable if you strive for one in particular. Rare are more difficult to get and take a lot of effort and potential. Special are just like the name. Only a select number of special classes are allowed to exist within each Tier. Oh, and all classes have different Tier up options. All classes can branch out into unique and hidden ones. Every class no matter the rarity, changes during the Tier up process. For example, if you have the special Sword Saint Apprentice class and Tier up, you can get a special class among special classes. You can also branch out into the common Sword Saint Pupil class or the rare Sword Saint Understudy class. Each Tier up you achieve will give you a chance to upgrade your class. There is this one interesting theory. If you get a special class at Tier 1, and the special class of that special class at Tier 2 and so on... How strong can you theoretically get? How difficult does it get to achieve that next special class? How far can a class go? Depending on the rarity of class you get, the boost you receive in status differs, so what if you only Tier up into special classes? Oh, sorry rambled on for a minute. Anyway, the theory basically states that when you breach and break every barrier the System has set, it breaks."

"What else does the class change?"

"Well after the update, the class and race functions were pulled further away from each other and race has little impact on the class, while classes also have little to no impact on race so nothing much except your future strength."

"So which Special Class do I choose?"

"I would say the Sword Saint one since you do have a lot of potential in that."

Mitsuna appraised all the possible choices that stuck out to her.

[Mixed Blood - A being with blood from two vastly different races.

(Vastly Strengthen your Blood)

(Vast Increase in Possibly Learnable Skills)]

[Sword Saint (Apprentice) - A being holding the potential to become one of the strongest sword wielders.

(Massively Increase your Understanding of the Sword)

(Large Increase in Sword Control)]

[Calamity - A being with the potential to become a Calamity in this Universe.

(Vast Increase in Mana Manipulation)

(Massive Increase in Potential)]

Looking at the three options on her table, Mitsuna threw Saint under the rug as she didn't want to work for a church.

Thinking about what she wanted, Mitsuna made her choice.
