[Eyy. Christmas am I right? Anyway, enjoy this little release of a few chapters. Happy holidays!]
This morning, Mitsuna's father had called for her. Within the past week of training, she could finally start speaking.
Passing a maid on her way, Mitsuna said.
"Good morning."
"To you as well little miss." the maid replied with a bow.
'Thank god I can speak. I don't have to try and think out loud ever again.' Mitsuna thought with an invisible smile.
Walking down the corridor, Mitsuna checked her status just like her mother told her 'Do it frequently.'.

'No silent notifications. Besides that, my stats have grown again. This confirms my theory of them growing through training.'
Reaching her father's office, Mitsuna knocked.
"Enter."
Opening the door, Mitsuna greeted him.
"It's me, father."
"Ah. Come on in. Sit down and let's have a little talk."
Sitting on the sofa opposite to her father, Mitsuna took a sweet from the table in front of her and waited for her father to start speaking.
"Ahem. I'm sure you remember our talk a few days ago. When you turn 14 and the like."
"Mhm."
"Someone is coming to meet you today in regards to that. A possible husband."
"Mmm."
"I know you might see this as but they are from a wealthy and strong family of dragons. The boy is two years older than you and is looking for a wife, I am friends with the boy's father and recommended him to have his boy take someone as cute as my daughter."
"Hmmm."
"No, I honestly did not expect for him to take his son to actually meet you. I just wanted to tease him a little since he always wanted a daughter."
"Mm."
"Don't worry, if you don't like him you don't have to meet with him again. Just this once would be enough."
With the conversation going more and more towards Mitsuna's favour every time she made a 'Hmm' or 'Mmm' sound, her father could just not make her hate him and comprimised by making a lot of promises.
'I can't have my only daughter dislike me because she is forced to meet some weak stupid boy. If she hates me then that's half my children hating me!' Midithyr thought as he looked towards his daughter.
"And in order to look the part of royalty, that you are, I had some dresses brought to your room. Choose whichever one you like."
'Come on! Girls love dresses!'
"Hm."
'Thank the heavens...' Midithyr thought in his mind with a sigh as Mitsuna was still eating sweets.
"Okay, I'll go try them on."
'Yes! I knew Jameson would never lie to his father!'
"Have fun."
"Bye father."
'Speaking with low and different kinds of hums really pushes things in my favour. I should do that more often.'
Walking back to her room, Mitsuna saw a new... wardrobe.
'This is more than a few. But what else to expect from royalty.'
Opening the drawer, Mitsuna picked the ones that stood out to her the most.
Picking a dark blue one-piece dress, she put it on along with stockings and black shoes.
Placing a hair ornament to keep her hair from falling and blocking her face, Mitsuna looked at herself in the mirror.
'Damn. I look good for a child.'
Leaving her room, she asked the nearest maid to point her in the correct direction.
Leaving towards the room, Mitsuna entered and saw how her father was wearing a crown and fancy clothing while sitting on a throne right next to her mother.
"Am I late?" Mitsuna asked reservedly.
"No. I was just about to call you." Midithyr said as he turned his head towards the two kneeling people in front of him.
"Come here and sit."
Following her father's order, Mitsuna climbed the stairs and sat on a small chair near the back of her mother.
"Raise your heads."
The two men then raised their heads as they looked towards Mitsuna's family.
The adult had black hair and black eyes and a very slim physique. The boy next to him had similar features except that his eyes held a strange silver glow in the form of a circle.
"Introduce yourselves."
"Marquess Michael Ever of the Shadow Dragon Clan. This is my heir, Mindyr Ever."
"You have come to ask for my daughter's hand correct?" Aryamis asked, her voice full of arrogance.
"Yes, that is our intention."
"Well, that decision is up to her and neither of us. If you wish to take her hand you must make her fall for you."
'Great wording there father king.'
Mitsuna shifted her gaze from her father to the duo in front of them.
The man had not broken eye contact with the king while the boy was staring at her with a small blush and widened eyes.
'What is he staring at?'
The silver ring in his eyes glowed as his stare slightly intensified.
'He seems like a crazy egomaniac with a harem fetish. Just a guess.'
Looking away from the boy, Mitsuna stared at his father instead.
'He is much more of a looker.'
Waiting for the silence to be broken by her father, Mitsuna was slightly shocked when she heard a quiet voice.
"Uhm... C- Can you please marry me?"
"M M."
Instantly rejected by two quick M's and a slight shake of her head, it was like a double K. O. as the boy felt crushed.
'Not even a proper answer... that's my daughter! That's how you reject someone!' Aryamis felt proud.
"Boy. Who permitted you to speak?" Mitsuna's father spoke.
"When in the presence of royalty, one must wait to be spoken to." Aryamis continued.
"If the boy does not even know basic manners at his age, what good will he bring my daughter? I believe that this can be stopped now."
"I agree mother, the boy clearly does not know of etiquette." Jameson who was sitting near Mitsuna's father then spoke.
'When did he get here?' Mitsuna wondered
As the duo rose to their feet, bowed and started leaving, the boy turned around and asked.
"If I may, why was I rejected?"
"Hush you stu-" his father was cut off by Mitsuna herself.
"I don't like your eyes."
With those simple words being their last encounter, the boy was dragged out by his father who apologized and promised to beat some sense into him.
'Wow, father. You really didn't seem like 'old friends' to me.' Mitsuna thought as she looked between both her father and the now-closed door.
'No one even complimented my dress.'
