CHAPTER 13:

"Morning miley" , ritha said as she entered the log cabin , she was early as usual , "morning ritha" miley answered , but this time miley seemed to be stressed more than she did in other days . " so what's all about this work you're doing , maybe you could use some help right ?" , " oh no thanks , this is easy to do , just tidying up the place , but you could be doing some jogging and get ready for training right" , " but training starts in thirty minutes , miley what's wrong you know I usually come early to help you with some things right" , " oh I almost forgot , but today think I'd better do it myself ,you know you're four days to the competition , so I'm saving you time for training , you can't be like Jackson when you're not working hard" , " okay I almost forgot , so I better get going" , " phew!! , that was a close one" miley sighed as ritha shut the door .

It was so early and the water so cold , the sand still wet , ritha couldn't go into the water , she started jogging instead and she was all by herself except the music in her earplugs which kept her in the mood .

" ritha , hey" tom yelled but ritha was too far and her music noisy to hear tom , " ritha , ritha" , tom came running , and held her shoulder , she removed he earplugs . " hey tom , what's with the hurry" , " yeah I'm anting just because I came running after you" , " oh sorry the music was too loud I couldn't hear you" .

"So what's with the mood today you're so early and jogging all by yourself , you usually come early to save some time for helping miley right ?" , "yeah but today was a little strange , I did the same but she told me to start some training by myself if there's no one else , actually she was doing some cleanups and I knew she needed some help but she just couldn't let me help her" , " ohh , I wonder why she did that may be she's hiding some special surprise right ?" , " maybe , but I don't think she would do in a away like that" she said .

" so ritha , about what happened , you know the previous days , I was acting awkwardly , and I think it messed our friendship I ..." , " tom I really was mad at you at first but I get it , it was so hard for you" , " you do" , " yes" , " thanks ritha , so do you forgive me" , "of cause I do" , tom then hugged ritha as she finished speaking . "So now were back to being friends and team mates" , " you know it" said ritha .

" woo guys you scared the heck out of me" said pete , " man I wasn't used to people who wake up early and come here t seat at the verandah and do nothing" , pete said as he entered the cabin . The others arrived , and greeted tom and ritha .

"Woo guys what's wrong with miley" , pete came saying , " and what's it pete" , " guys you know miley likes to be helped but , this is what happened , so I was just walking through the cabin and miley's ladder fell down , I rushed to lift it up for her , but she couldn't let me" , " what's she doing anyway" said bill , " yeah , let's go check it out" lanna said , tom got in their way and stopped them , " guys I think this is not important , let's just start training it's almost time right ?" , " okay I guess" bill said , they all took their surfing boards dressed and went to the shore , they started training session for the day .

" okay guys , get a short break , I have to talk to you for a while , let's meet at the cabin" miley said , " what is this all about now" pete said , they got out of the waters . "So guys , I think some of you have seen me earlier , I was quite busy cleaning up the place , today we have visitors" , " so that's what all the work was about I wondered why" , ritha said , " yeah that's the reason , I didn't tell anyone because I didn't want to mess with you training , actually today I woke up earlier than ever , the first one of you arrived about three hours after I did" , " what , that was too early coach" , " yes tom , I had too , these are not ordinary visitors , they are our opponents" .

" Wait coach , is this what I think it is" , " sure Jennifer were hosting he blue yachts today" , she said , " no way , this is way off the hook" , said pete . " so this is how it is , they should arrive in about an hour to come , and remember what I told you yesterday , they seek to know your weaknesses because they know we are their strongest opponents" , " but we can't let them know" , " that's what I was about to say pete but how are we going to do it" said ritha .

" I think I have an idea" , " then say it tom , good thing you're the team captain" , said miley , " so we have practice and I think they will join us , during his practice , everyone has to act like they are in the competition , do your best , we don't want any one of them spotting our weakness , got it ?" .

"Honk honk!!!!" , I think they're here , so remember what we talked about yesterday , and tom stay for a while" , miley said as the others went out" , " so uh , I think you'll remember what I told you about" , "I know coach my left leg is easy to spot and I won't let these guys know about it , bye coach , I've got some captain work to do" , tom said as he followed the others outside .

"So I guess you're tom the team captain", " sure , how did you know" , " I am Bethany , nice to meet you" , the girl said as she brought her hand forth to shake hands with tom . "so , I've been seeing you lately in the practice and I recognized your character , I knew that you would be tom the team captain" , "wow , that's amazing , you're good at seeing huh" , " yes it's like a key aspect in our team , we've got to keep an eye on our opponents to know if they need our help" , " wow that's nice of you" , " yes , I know , generosity , and genuine heart is all that our team works on" , " okay , so good luck , I think I've got to get back to practice" , " yeah , so bye then" , she said as she stepped away backwards .

" Hey tom" , " hey babe , how're you doing" , " you know you've not called me like that for some time, I really missed it" , said lanna . " So the girl you were talking to , she's the team captain right" , " yeah , and she's more than a watchman" , " come on , what do you mean" , " you know what , she's observed everything that I've been doing and she figured out that I was the team captain I hope she hasn't spotted yet that I am struggling with my left leg" , " what" , " yes , when it comes to my left leg I find it more like trouble and miley has told it to me many times but , it's hard" , " you know what tom , I could help , I know who could help you" , " who" , " she's more like our next champion you and her" , " you mean ritha right ?" , " yes" , "so I'll try to approach her , thanks again babe , catch up later" , " good luck" lanna said as tom went.

"hey there" , " hi tom , what's with the rush" , " I uh , I could use some help and you're the only one who can help me " , " with what I'd be glad to help ?" , " you see I've not been able to surf well , my left leg , I just find it hard to concentrate and end up slowing down or loose stability" .

"Okay, so it's like I'm going to repay back to you" , " what do you mean" , " you know you taught me how to surf on a giant wave and in return I'll teach you how to handle your left leg" , " I did" , " yeah" , " wow I barely remembered that" , " what , you know what never mind let's get back to business" .

" coach , I've did it" , Bethany came shouting to MR graham , " oh , sorry I didn't know you were talking" she said as she stepped back , miley was with graham , " miley sorry for a while , I need to take care of something" . " Bethany what are you doing" , he whispered , " coach I'm sorry I almost said it , but I finally managed to distract their captain I discovered his weakness after he went back he wanted to show himself surfing for it was the thing on his mind after I distracted him , coach he is weak on his leg and also our boys did their work they spotted the others , but also I managed to trick him , he now knows that we observe people to help" , " wow nice one Bethany you've caught a big fish now" , " the pleasure is all mine coach" .
